My name ryan. They did a good job at moving my stuff. They did it fast and I was very satisfied with the move. I recommend them and do say that did a fine good at the move.

Worst

I recently moved from the East Coast to the West Coast. After reading several reviews, and asking for quotes, I picked All State. Even though customer services was very courteous,...

Not for me! 12/27/2016

This company was a contender, based on price- until they sent me an email declaring my new surname is O'hoebag. After following the emailed request to let everyone know my satisfaction, I've gone to each of the profile links to share this experience. And, looking at reviews at those links, I won't even call them ever again for consideration on a move. more

Great Company, Great Service! 12/6/2016

My Fiance and I recently contracted with All State Van Lines Relocation (Job#11455732-06-A) for our move from Bakersfield, CA to San Antonio, TX during the last week of November, and they were great to work with. This company has amazing communication, and great follow-up! They called to ensure the carrier arrived to pick up, as well as delivered all belongings on-time. They also follow-up a day/two after delivery to verify there was no damage. The carrier company assigned to our move, Sogdiana Van Lines, was incredible. They were extremely respectful, picked up our items right on time and they were even able to deliver our items days earlier than expected! We are very satisfied with the service we have received from both All State Van Lines, as well as Sogdiana Van Lines, and would definitely use/recommend All State Van Lines for any move in the future! more

Comments about all state van lines 11/24/2016

Go elsewhere. Their professional movers consisted of a collage kid and an eldery Spanish gentlemen who spoke no English in a rented truck. It took them 12 hours to load everything. I call about three glass shelves that were broken and left a message. Of course no return call. more

Not who they say 11/14/2016

I had a truck load of my household items. Only half was delivered to me I ask movers where was the rest of my items the said this was all they was going to give me. There were a lot of expensive items in those boxes that I packed my self. I was to file a claim after the Ninth month I was told my claimed was denied. Eighty two boxes missing and halt of my bedroom set Don't use this moving company! I am not the only one that this has happened to ï won't be the last. more

Had trouble with this company but they came through in the end 11/4/2016

I would recommend using All State Van Lines with caution. I had a very stressful time with the company. There was a lack of communication and things were promised that never happened. The contracted company, Quality relocation, is completely unprofessional and shady/questionable. If you're to deal with them, just say no, for your own sake. The move went very unsuccessfully with water damage due to negligence on arrival and being overcharged by over $900. I tried several times to get my issues resolved but would get the run around and would often times not get a response. I finally got my check for the overcharge and am waiting on the additional ins payout. This went on for several weeks until upper management contacted me. The woman I spoke to offered an apology and offered a $750 customer service refund. She assured me that Quality relocation is on a freeze from business unless they do retraining and told me that there would be an internal audit to correct the communication problems. If you're to do business with All State make sure you read all the paperwork in full and verify all info given. Also I would recommend being there in person for the weigh ins and getting additional insurance. more

Best Price AND Best Customer Service!!! 11/2/2016

[This review may have accidentally posted twice--my apologies.] We moved from CA to FL just as Hurricane Matthew was doing its thing. Like a cross country move isn't stressful enough, right? Add to this that both my and my partner's cell phones and my laptop got jacked out of our hotel room on the third day of our road trip, AND we had to coordinate an emergency side-trip to flood-ravaged North Carolina to rescue a relative stuck without power. The ONLY smooth part of this move was working with All State Van Lines. Their customer service is A+ first-rate, starting with Drexel who gave us an over-the-phone quote that was within $50 of the actual final charge based on weight, to Miguel Pech who packed our stuff and got it all delivered safely and unscathed, to the customer service representatives who consistently showed such compassion and concern helping us to coordinate our furniture delivery around all our unexpected circumstances. Thank you, everyone at All State Van Lines! We highly recommend this company! (Job # 11436347-06-A) more

All State Van Lines Relocation, Inc. 10/27/2016

Review job number (11430252-06) When I studied the government’s rating of this company I was skeptical, although, the ratings improved every year for them. All State is an agent, they don’t move the furniture they only book a moving van to move your furniture. The complaints about All State appeared to do with weight estimates being way under the proper weight. I did demanded All State tell me in advance what van lines they would use and All State provided me with four van line possibilities. I checked those moving van companies and they had great ratings from the government sites. Judy from All state was very convincing. After several conversations with Judy, researching the internet, and being the doubting Thomas that I am, I invited 3 major companies to come in, view my furniture and give me an in-house moving price. All State did not view my furniture, but gave me a computer weight estimate that the internet says, don’t trust it. All weight estimates from other companies were WAY under All State Van Lines. ALL STATE’S computer estimate was more accurate then the in-house estimates. You need to remember these are estimates and I do automatically assume that there will be more weight, but I don’t want to get a $1,000 surprise. All State’s estimate came in more accurately then the other van moving companies and believe me, I chose the top of the line moving van companies to view in person for those estimates. Moving day, the moving van came, picked up, explained everything, and delivered my furniture the following day. NO delay it was early GREAT NEWS! The gentleman driver explained everything to me, was right up front, told me that the weight was about right. Everything went well, he called ahead with the delivery time, no damages, ALL STATE everything was more than what I imagined it would be. Guess what, ALL STATE was a fraction of the costs of the other in-house estimates. Thank you Judy and thank you All State Van Lines for a great smooth ride from Roanoke, Virginia to Kentucky. more

Please don't hire! Be highly aware! Read my review please! 10/20/2016

DO NOT USE ALL STATE VAN LINES RELOCATION OR PRODIGY MOVING COMPANIES Please whatever you do, don't use this company. I have moved 3 other times with different moving companies and this was by far the worst experience I ever had. I got a quote from a very nice lady, she seemed very confident, honest and really personable. I got multiple quotes from 4 other companies, all ranging between $1,500-4,000. The lady warned me about the $1,500 quote saying that they go by space which can only take a loose packer to drive up the price. Mayflower came into my home and did a quote. So I went back to this company because I really liked her and asked to match the quote exactly (adding more boxes and packing and more weight) I explained I want it to be as accurate as possible because I don't want any surprises. So she did and she was a little less so I paid my deposit and asked if on delivery if I can pay by credit card. She said I could use anything but discover. I said okay not a big deal I can use a visa. Now a couple weeks later about 5 days before the move I get a call from a QA worker for the company, we went through and I listed off everything in the house. I was moving across the country to a home much smaller than mine so I sold almost all the furniture no appliances hardly anything was coming with us. The QA guy told me at the end of the call that I can pay for the rest at delivery by credit card, cash, money order or cashiers check. A couple days before the move I get a call from someone else to tell me when they were coming. I asked for the 14th but they said the delivery date would be the 15th between 8am-12pm. I woke up early and waited and waited, around 11:00 I get a call from a company called "PRODIGY" it's the company All State Van Lines hires. The lady said the movers won't be there until between 4:00pm-8pm. They didn't show up until 6:30 pm. So they start packing and first off they are slow, second off they are not organized at all. I walked them through telling them what is going and what isn't going. In every room I had a pile of stuff that wasn't going, it was very obvious it was stuff I wanted to keep with us. I turn around and come back and literally all my stuff but one pile that I said not to pack was packed. I said "did you pack that pile of kitchen stuff that had silverware in ziplock bags?" He laughed and said "yeah" I was already upset at this point. "If you just packed it, do you know where it is?" He said no, at the point I looked around and realized they were labeling ANYTHING on the boxes. Not "kitchen", nothing. At this point I knew if I let it bother me I would have gone off to a point I didn't want to be. They packed from 6:30-12:30 am and still weren't finished. They said they would come back in the morning and finish. They said they had a 16 hour day so we get bad and said they can come back at 10:00am. At 9:00 the next morning I get a call from the movers boss asking why they can't come earlier than 10am and I said well they can but they said they had a 16 hour day beforehand so we said 10. Their manager laughed and said "they did not have a 16 hour day" and I said "well it's only an hour from now so it's not a big deal to me" at around 10:00 I got a text from the movers saying they will be there at 10:20, they didn't make it there until 10:30. They packed and loaded until 3:00pm. It was so unorganized and chaotic they wouldn't finish a room they would hop back and forth, back and forth. We couldn't get anything we needed finished until they left. I asked them multiple times for a delivery date and they wouldn't give it to me they instead said "call my manager", even though everyone I talked to previously said the movers will tell us. So our days/move was pushed way behind because of these movers already. On the way to our destination we ended up having to stay over night halfway because of everything being pushed back. We basically lost a day on the move because they were so late and slow. We are 4 hours from our destination and I get a call asking if they movers could come that night. I told them we were 4 hours away and it's going to be late so probably not. They said they will be there the next day between 7am-10. I got a call from their manager saying they are only 15 miles away and will be there in 30 minutes. Then I get another call telling me the cost is going to be DOUBLE the quote Plus said I cannot pay with credit card like 3 other people told me I could. I had to argue with 4 different people telling them I don't have an extra $2,500 laying around in cash since it's all in my old bank. About 40 minutes later I get a call from the movers saying they will be another 30 minutes. They get there around 10:10. I finally got them to let me pay $1500 on a credit card and the rest in cash. They unloaded our stuff, and I asked multiple times for the weight ticket and they kept saying "in a minute" until I got busy and they left without giving it to me. The whole experience was a complete mess. We looked at the boxes and thought wow how fun it's going to be figuring out where everything goes without any labels on these boxes! Please use my experience to not hire either company for your move. Paid 5k to move a two bedroom apartments worth of stuff. They definitely give you the bait and switch. No one offered to make up for any of my bad experiences either. more

Best To Avoid - Dishonest and Unprofessional - Sub-Contractors Questionable 10/8/2016

I used this company to move from Abilene, TX to Buffalo, NY. The sales agent I spoke to sold me something completely different from what I got. I chose this company versus one that was located in town due to the fair weight quote (price reflects actual weight of you items). Apparently, All State uses contractors that they don't seem to vet. I was promised at least 2 movers. When only 1 mover arrived and said he would slide my furniture down the stairs, I immediately called the company. He ended up hiring 2 people from my apartment complex to help. They barely were functional and I ended up helping for about 3 hours so we could get the job done. I was also charged extra upfront on things that had already been discussed. After this, I felt very uncomfortable with this company having my things. On delivery, I found that some items had been water damaged due to the driver continuing to drive after he had ripped a chunk of the roof to the truck off. The helper he had on this end was most likely a drug addict due to his appearance and behavior. The mover also "stole" my hardware to my bed after I asked him if he had left it in at the place I was storing my items until my new place was ready. I ended up going to the weigh station with the mover and found that they had over charged me by over $900. I was promised that a check was in the mail over 1 week ago and still haven't received it. I ended up having to open a dispute with my credit card company. I also asked for an itemized receipt since I feel I was grossly over charged and never received that either after being promised several times it would be sent. Whenever I tried to talk to the sub-contractor, Quality relocation, they were extremely rude and incompetent. I decided to deal solely with All State since they had sold this nightmare to me. The agents kept saying one thing and doing the other. This experience has exhausted me and I can't even write all they did to me. When it came to getting money from me, they were fast and efficient. more

Worst Business Transaction I have ever made 9/16/2016

1. I contracted with ALL STATE VAN LINES RELOCATION LLC (estimate # 11423401-06) to provide moving service from Union City,TN. to Bridgeport,WV 26330. The contract was to be held by a $950.38 cent ACH Deposit from my checking account. The balance of $942.14 was to be paid to the delivery driver once he delivered my household goods to the new place in West Virginia. On 9/7/2016 the ACH my account for $950.38 + $950.38 and as of 9/16/2016 I have not been refunded the $950.38 to pay to the driver. I was told that I would have to cough up the $950 for the driver while All State Worked on a refund to me. Basically, they get to hold my $950 and I need to find the extra cash to pay, rather than them consider me paid and full and them pay their drivers. 2. The binding contract was for delivery between 9/12/2016 and 9/16/2016; as of 9/16/2016 @ 5:52 PM EST I have not received my delivery. Further, I just spoke with All State Van Lines and they stated the delivery/dispatch company (VIP MOVERS, LLC) has just advised them it would be Tuesday, Sept 20th, 2016 at the earliest before they can make delivery. 3. I have to be in business dress clothing and at my new job on 9/19. All State Van Lines has all my belongings packed up and has not made delivery of my goods,so that I can be dressed and at work. Yet still All State Van Lines still wants me to be patient for the delivery, pay their driver in full and me wait for a refund. Better yet get this they called to say I owe an extra $245 cause my boxes was 400lbs over weight. Not happy at all. Filing my complaints with them, then with American Movers Association,DOT & Interstate Commerce Commission and last but not least my attorney for further resolution. Mike more

Pleased with All State Van Lines 9/8/2016

We were very pleased with the professionalism of All State! Our moving coordinators were well organized, and the van driver and his helper were careful with our antiques and actually arrived at our destination earlier than expected. They even delivered several items to our son, who lives across town. There were a few scratches and other problems, as expected with a move, but overall our things arrived undamaged. We would not hesitate to have All State Van Lines move us again. more

Most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with 8/25/2016

It took over 50 days to get my belonging delivered. I was misquoted delivery dates 8 times! I rearranged my schedule each time to accommodate. All they did was blame the movers that they hired! They took no accountability at all! Even management played the blame game with no accountability. I was told my belongs would arrive by July 12 and they finally arrived today, August 25th. more

RUN! Run away as fast as you can. 8/18/2016

I am extremely unhappy with All State Van Lines Relocation. This is my sixth interstate move and I have never seen anything like it. My Binding Estimate was for $4653.94, so paid $1924.19 Binding Fee. They show up with two small trucks to load my stuff and take to a warehouse. What did not fit was loaded onto my pickup and I drove to warehouse. I made it abundantly clear, that because I was just released from hospital due to a stroke. The driver contacts me telling me I must pay $6079.25 MORE. He shows up and waits for laborers to show. They work one hour and quite because it is too much work. Then they ask me for a tip. I suggested the leave immediately. SO I assist with what I can in my poor health condition. It took over 12 hours to unload dumping all boxes in a single room. Dining room chairs are damaged. They he realized the dining table top is missing. They deliver it two weeks later abandoned on my door step in the middle of the night. Sprinklers watered it. I have to get two people to come bring it inside. Since then I have found my outdoor grill mangled and a book shelve is missing. The Account Repo is not returning calls to deal with my damage claims. I feel taken! I was taken. I should be reimbursed for my damage and all the labor I put in when I should not be working at all. more

Mover from Pa to Florida 7/31/2016

Don't ever Book with them they showed up a day late cost us another day rent to landlord. When they got to our new place all my large boxes were smashed and ripped I was missing my stuff .when we called them they checked with the drivers they did not try to see it on the truck so I guess gave it to someone else . A piece of my furniture was broken , our desk chair was missing a wheel our utility cart was missing a wheel ,even my totes had broken handles.Lucy talked to us on the phone and made us feel so confident that our stuff would get from one state to another in one piece. Every time we tried to call there no one would call us back we had to leave so many messages . My advice to you would be move yourself or call Someone else. more

Horrible business 7/21/2016

I am in the military and I recently used them to help me move and I was lied to every step of the way and it was not discovered until it was too late. Now my personal property is gone because they could not keep their end of the bargain and now I am paying the price. more

Not Recommended!! 7/6/2016

This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. They give an initial low estimate and then increase the price constantly when it gets close to the move. Communication from the company about time lines of the move was terrible. Also an expensive dining room table arrived in pieces, along with multiple other items damaged or missing. The company then refused to do anything about all the damaged items and poor service. To anyone reading this, please do not ever book this company. I do not want anyone else to have the same horrible experience I had. more

Wrong Quote! Stayed Away! 6/30/2016

Beware the quote! When I got the quote for moving a 3-bed rooms, the quote was about $4000, which was reasonable when compared to others I asked. However, when the movers came, they asked me to sign a new contract, indicating the moving expenses depended on a estimate weight of 8500 pounds. The guy did tell me that the actual expenses depended the actual weights after uploading. I had no idea how to convert the household weights to pounds but I believed the quote I got should reflect approximately weights I might had. The final price was almost $9000, which was more expensive than the original quote. I was threatened to pay the waiting fee or they would put my stuffs to the storage..... my realtor who is very experience said she never heard $9000 for moving a 3-bed rooms. She tried to call the company to query why the final price was so different from the original quote. The representative of the moving company told me that the final price depended on the actual weight and my stuffs seemed to be "double" than the original estimate. I told her that (1) I had no idea how to convert the household to "pounds" and the moving company should had a much better knowledge to estimate the moving expenses and (2) it was not possible that I "doubled" my stuffs when I decided to move. I paid the balance using the credit card in order to get my furniture and stuffs. more

Moving Experience 6/28/2016

My wife and I recently moved from Pensacola, FL to Baldwin, NY, and State Van Lines accommodated our moving needs well. From pickup in Pensacola to drop off in Baldwin, the process unfolded effortlessly. Their door-to-door pickup and drop off was very important to us, as we had many pieces of heavy furniture. Too, State Van Lines' packaging was impressive. They wrapped or covered everything taken. On observing this, my wife and I felt more at ease with the transporting of our personal property. Accountability at drop off was performed equally as well. All items picked up in Pensacola made it to Baldwin and without damage. The checklist developed during pickup was the same list utilized at drop off, so absolute accountability was in place. Given the uneventful (a good thing) transfer of our property, I would highly recommend State Van Lines to anyone making a move - whether local or across country. James E. Fischer, Ph.D. more
