Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services

We've had a leaky faucet for quite some time. I called Roto Rooter because I've seen them around and wanted to use a trusted company and not a random plumber I found on the internet. I was immediately blown away by their customer service. From the woman I spoke with to make the appointment to our technician, they were all super friendly and went above and beyond to fix our problem. When our pressure reducing valve went bad a few weeks later I did not hesitate to call Roto Rooter again. We had the same technician as last time ( William #52-121) and he was out within hours and even early for our appointment time. Again, he went above and beyond fixing the problem and was extremely polite and respectful. Each time, William quoted us a price before he began work and that was the price we paid when we were done. The prices seem fair and reasonable and as I said before, even if they are more expensive I am willing to pay especially now that we have had 2 great experiences. more

We woke up Tuesday morning with no hot water. We had no idea what the issue was other than there was going to be no showers in the near future. I called Roto-Rooter and spoke with a lovely lady who had sympathy for our problem and promised to have someone headed our way immediately. Within 30 minutes of my call a nice young man by the name of Danny (Tech #52-173) was ready to determine what our next steps would be. He accessed under our house through a very small opening and determined that we had a river of water and that a new hot water heater was required. In the next 4 hours, Danny had a heater purchased and installed. The outcome was absolutely perfect and the experience certainly set in stone that our plumber of choice would always and forever be Roto-Rooter. Once again, Roto-Rooter Plumbers from Raleigh came to our rescue. William (#121) is the best! Our sewer pump finally gave up the ghost, so of course we called Roto-Rooter. William spent all day in the unbearable heat digging up that pump. Unfortunately, the pump was wired for 230 volts which is very uncommon these days. William had to go to the manufacturer for this pump and have it shipped. Of course this was right before the Memorial Day weekend, so William had the pump shipped to his house with the intention of installing it over the weekend. As luck would have it, the manufacturer did not get the pump shipped out right away, so we waited a week until it finally arrived. William called us everyday with an update regarding the staus of our job. I have never had any service provider that was so diligent. As soon as the pump arrived, he was back to install it (another full day of digging and pumping!) As you can see,I cannot say enough about William! Thank you Roto-Rooter! more

The first effort on 3/10/11 seemed to correct the problem--the float had gotten hung up and the pump would not shut off like it was supposed to. However, the next morning when my son took his shower, the pump got hung again. I called Roto-Rooter Plumbers back to explain the problem. They were very polite and accomodating to send someone back out at my convenience. The plumber took a look at it, called the service repairman from the day before, and then took a few extra steps to assure us the float would not get hung up again. We experience plumbing problems on Sunday afternoon in the Raleigh area. Roto-Rooter worked with my schedule and was able to make it to my home in the late evening. My plumber was great and he resolved this situation in a timely manner. more

I desperately needed a plumber to clean out the drains in my kitchen. The washing machine had backed up into my kitchen sink and dishwasher and I was afraid to use it again for fear of a repeat disaster! I called Roto-Rooter of Raleigh and within just a couple of hours, Larry came to my rescue. He was professional, courteous, and respectful. AND, he got the job done well, even staying while I ran both the dishwasher and washing machine to test his work. I will call Roto-Rooter of Raleigh any time I need a plumber. Thanks Larry! more

I decided to run my dishwasher before I went in for Chemo. Twenty minutes later water was all over the floor. The pipe from the sink to the garbage disposal to the dishwasher broke. I called Roto-Rooter based solely on their reputation, not any referral from a friend. They arranged to come by that afternoon. I went to the Cancer Center, had chemo, got back to my house and there was Jeff (Tech #794). He was courteous, knowledgeable, and arrived just when he said he would. The job was done quickly. He also addressed a couple other problems I had. He shared information with me on future problems I may run into so I can keep an eye out since my house is 15 years old when lots of repairs are needed. Cancer doesn't allow you to spend extra time and energy on things... Thankfully I didn't have to once I called them! If you need a plumber in Raleigh, feel confident that they will get the job done correctly. One less worry for me. more

I found out that I have a broken water line under my house today. I called Roto-Rooter for a qoute; that's all I wanted. They informed me that they don't give qoutes over the phone. Now, having been in construction for 9 years myself, I understand that some companies don't quote over the phone because people don't accurately decribe what the situation is and then they get upset when the price changes from the original quote. They told me that they would have someone at my house at 4:30-5:00pm. Sounds great! 5 o'clock rolls around and I get a call from the technician explaining that he was held up and would be at my house by 6:30. O.K...... 7:15 comes around and nobody has showed up or called me, so I call the office. I explain what happened to the first person to answer, who then transfers me to another person that I have to explain the situation to again. No apologies or "" We're sorry sir. What can we do to fix this?"" She tells me that now (all the sudden) someone is available to come to my house. I decline and tell her that I'm probably going to call someone else. ""O.K."" ""click"" before I even have a chance to hang up the phone. I know that big companies can get things crossed or some jobs run over the allotted time, but this is just poor customer service. And the fact that nobody seemed to know, or care about what was going on just made things worse. Now I've wasted a day (with a broken water pipe below my house leaking water) waiting for these people, when I could've gotten something scheduled with someone who actually cares about their customers. My new year off to a rocky start when I found my water heater leaking in the crawl space. Called two other plumbers before Roto-Rooter, but I'll never call any other plumbers except Roto-Rooter from now on! They sent a guy right out - on NEW YEAR';S DAY. He replaced the old leaking water heater, gave me great advice on how to keep the new replacement one working for years to come. Very knowledgeable. Expert service. Definitely recommended. more
