We've made many calls to Roto-Rooter and they have completed many jobs for us. I used to do business with their competitor but I found I could get excellent service and get the job done right the first time with Roto-Rooter. The plumbers (most recently, John) are excellent and straightforward. Their operators always answer the telephone with ""how can I provide excellent service? And they do, I've learned, when something works, you stick with it. more

Hazel was great... got video of our mainline so we could see exactly what the problem was. Got us working for the night and schedule for the damaged pipe to be replaced the very next day. William Barnes showed up on schedule (today, 10/25), like Hazel was easy to work with and informative... completed the work on scheduled and as promised. more

I had an outstanding experience with the plumber who serviced my house on October 11, 2010. Hazel was very attentive to my needs and dispatched severals individuals promptly. Notice water stains on ceiling in bedroom just below the hot water heater located in the attic. Ran upstairs knowing that the hot water was a fault. Floor was wet but saw no noticable leak. Being Sunday afternoon, I was not optimistic that I could get someone out for a reasonable price to diagnose and fix the problem. Called Roto-Rooter as their add said no extra charge. Plumber was at my house within an hour of me calling and quickly found a problem with the expansion tank. Had one on the truck and price was very reasonable. He was in and out within an hour. He was very courteous and professional. Would definetly call Roto-Rooter again for plumbing issues. more

This particular plumber was prompt, dressed professionally, courteous, and understanding to the burden that I was facing. After showing him the two problem areas, he quickly explained the cause, the long-trem effects, and his scope of work in a simplified, non-technical way. He also gave me tips on how to prevent further drain clogging catastrophes in the future especially since I have a house that was built in the 1950's. What I especially liked is the way he cleaned up after himself-well not the way I would, but it was far more than I expected a contractor-type of person would. I had a VERY good experience with this plumber's service! I did not have to deal with "plumber-butt", no fowl language, no smoke smell or body odor. He is a true professional. more

After supposedly unclogging the line (the pipe was actually completely blocked by a massive tree root) for $321, they gave me an estimate of $2200 to fix the problem. They said they would have to dig down 6 feet near the sidewalk to fix damage to the pipe. I ended up calling a different plumbing company for a second estimate. They informed me that since the block was after the last access point between my house and the main sewer, it was the city's responsibility. The city works people came out the next morning and fixed the problem for free. They even had to tear out the sidewalk in the process. When I called roto-rooter to complain about their failed unclogging and expensive estimate, manager Al Schupping (sp) told me that they frequently do estimates and jobs for customers that the city will do. He said that it's up to the customer to decide if they want roto-rooter to do the work. I'm sure just as in my case, they never mention that the city will do the work for free. This is a despicable business practice and Raleigh homeowners need to be made aware of this scam. more

Roto-Rooter Plumbers 9/04/10 After getting home from work on Saturday evening, I heard a hissing sound coming from the wall behind the toilet. I then saw some water coming through the tile floor. Not good. It's Labor Day weekend and thought what am I going to do. I got the Yellow Pages and saw Roto-Rooter ad which said they don't charge extra for weekends and holidays. The Plumber arrived in 45 minutes and did a fantastic job in stopping the leak and replacing the pipe which had cracked. I would without hesitation use Roto-Rooter of Raleigh again. more

My bathroom sink was stopped up and I called Roto-Rooter to see if they could help. I called at 10:30- they were at my house by 11:30. This was not an emergency call- we have other sinks. I was amazed at how fast they responded and were able to clear the clog. The Plumber was great- fixed the clog and I was back to flowing water within the hour. I highly recommend Roto- Rooter of Raleigh. I will call them again for all my plumbing needs. more

The service technician came within 15 minutes of the time promised and quickly diagnosed the problem. Our disposal was working again within 30 minutes. Furthermore the technician explained how to avoid the problem again. My wife and I have been completely satisfied every time we called Roto Rooter Plumbing and will continue to use them again. more

I wanted to let you know that the repair man John #3956 is the man that I will request to do anymore work that I need done. He was very polite and answered all of the questions we had. He explained everything he was going to do before and then explained what happened after. He also let us know how to maintain our pipes. more
