Best

All in all, I'm always taken good care of.

Worst

VeracityNetworks is the WORST ISP I have ever dealt with. Their advertised speeds are an outright LIE. In my area we are lucky to get 10 Mbps down, let alone the advertised 100 ...

Editorial review from Citysearch 11/29/2013

.Veracity Networks is a big scam run by a bigger scam artist or a con. I have been a Veracity customer for many years and besides the slow internet connection opposite to what it advertises, the constant service drop and the poor phone service offered, I had not directly dealt with Veracity until recently, two or three months ago or around September of 2013.\r Due to a pay cut I experienced, my monthly payment for my Veracity Networks was declined by my financial institution and put my bank account into overdraft. I was penalized for that by both my bank and Veracity Networks. I will not get into details but to make sure that won't happen again in the foreseeable future, I called customer service at Veracity and asked them to cancel my direct pay. The ""helping"" rep assured me that the problem has been resolved and no further direct debits will be attempted. The following month I got slammed with a letter from Veracity telling me that my account went into overdraft once again after I had already cancelled that service. I disputed that second “not honored” payment and argued my case with three different CSR's working for Veracity. They were extremely rude and totally unhelpful and brought me to the verge of exasperation with their platitude, lack of product knowledge and customer skills. I asked twice to speak with a supervisor and twice I was told that:"" the supervisor was way too busy to help me"". I think that the majority of us, good paying, customers are more than familiar with that lie, I meant ""line"", RIGHT?\r I got very frustrated and asked to get a meeting with the owner or CEO of Veracity because no one else seemed to care about my concerns or tried to help me in any way. I was told that: ""such a meeting will never take place because the owner will never agree with that meeting"". I asked why not and it was alluded to me that: ""the owner was both to important and influential of a person to ever agree to meet me"". Well, well Veracity, aren’t you too good for us, the customers who keep you in business. I will take legal action against this -C rated company who forgot who they work for. I will also make sure that the owner CEO will make time in the future to meet with any and all the hurting and offended customers. Veracity, remember the reason of your existence as a business, to offer excellent service, excellent customer service and support.\r \r \r SHAME, Veracity Networks\r more

One star is too high a rating for Veracity Networks. Their customer service/technical support is unacceptable. They advertise 24x7 technical support and that is simply not true. My internet was down all of Sunday and when I called I was greeted with a message that their hours were M-Sat and if I was experiencing any issues to leave a message and a customer service agent would contact me next business day. I left a message and at 4:30 pm Monday and I still had not received a call. This is not the first time this has happened. At one time when we had faulty equipment, they continually wasted our time with pretend technical support, which had us replacing our equipment. After putting up with that for several weeks they finally sent a technician who works for all Utopia providers and he replaced our equipment and recommended switching to (Xmission) who is known for great customer service/technical support. I have now done so. I do not recommend Veracity. more

The customer service at this company is horrendous! For a month our phone service was nothing but spotty. We had to call tech support many times to try to get them to fix it. They would have us running up and down the stairs to make changes to their equipment. They then would tell us they would check into it and call when the service was up...they never called to let us know ANY of the times they said they would. So, I decide to cancel the phone service...I am told there is a $40 fee, but they will wave that if I sign up for a years contract ($360 early disconnect fee) Currently I am on hold and have been on hold forever, just trying to get this done even after I said I would pay the $40. My original service had no fee for changing service...but they implemented the charge when they took over for the previous company - my monthly bill went from $60 to $93! more

Absolute WORST customer service of any utility company that I have ever encountered in my entire life! I currently have a problem with my phone service not working and I have tried to contact them via my cell phone four different times. Twice I was on hold for 15 minuted before I hung up. Once I was on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up, and once for 40 minutes before I hung up and contacted the sales department to try to get things expedited. They transferred me to 2 more times and put me right back to where I started- ON HOLD! They were were kind enough to apologize and tell me that they only have two people working the phones in the service department... TWO PEOPLE! Are you kidding my. Needles to say... PRAY that your service works perfectly because if it doesn't you are in for a NIGHTMARE! more

Veracity has poor customer service; the wait time on a phone call to customer service is typically very long, and no one mans the customer-service line over the weekend. The best way to get through to customer service is to call the sales line--that line is answered in two or three rings. The company is well staffed to sign more people up but not staffed to provide good service after people are locked into a contract. Also, the company drags its feet on giving credit for no-service days. Put us with those who do not recommend Veracity to anyone. more

These guys are like Gold's gym. They say one thing and still charge you for internet even when you move out a month later. The funny thing is that I wasn't even connected or logged in to their internet and called them that I was finished with the service (month to month). Apparently they never got the memo. And to top it off, ""their is nothing we can do for you"". Talk about horrible customer service. I do not recommend them to anyone. I give them 1/5 of a star out of 5 stars. more

the internet is blazing fast and no issues with it but the IPTV service, don't waste your time and money on this service. i just moved here from CA and been using IPTV for 5 yrs so i was excited to know i can get the same serivce in UT. first off, IPTV in UT is very very expensive compared to CA and you don't get much with veracity. i have 38 HD Channels, in CA i had over 150 so i never watch SD Channels but thats all i do now so i went 6 yrs back in time with veracity. some channels freeze n pixelate, i don't even get some of my HD channels and thats saying a lot since they don't offer much HD channels to begin with and i've only had it for 3 days. so their channel line up is current as Aug 2011 so in 1 yr and 4 months they haven't added any new HD channels so basically its a waste of having my HD TV's. for those of you new to IPTV, don't waste your money on this until they figure out how to properly deploy this service. i've seen what can be done with IPTV back in CA and you won't want anything else but Veracity still has a long long long way to go. stick with cable or satellite, its cheaper, more HD channels and better technology. i don't miss CA but i do miss IPTV. more

Verocity is horrible. I've been waiting 3 weeks for tech to help me with cable. Always having excuses why things don't work. Advice to you, choose a different provider... more

Editorial review from Citysearch 11/4/2012

TERRIBLE TV. We are constantly having problems with the cable service. The picture always goes out when a show we want to watch is on. The screen becomes so pixelated that you can't even see the picture and sometimes the picture will just go black. I will say though, the internet works great and have never had problems, but that does not out way haw crappy the cable is. NO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH VERACITY. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/1/2012

Horrible service and response time. We live in Traverse Mtn and I'm not sure what is going on with their cables and systems up here but our phone line is CONSTANTLY down! It happens at least every few weeks and every time they say that it shouldn't happen again but nevertheless we are still in the same situation. In all my years growing up with Qwest phone service, I can never remember one time when the phone lines were down. Something must be wrong with the infrastructure here but they don't seem to care enough to fix it. It always takes days and days for a tech to come out and fix it and even then it's only fixed for a little while until the next time it happens again. I would never recommend this company. Unfortunately we are stuck with them because of an illegal backroom deal the developer made with this company to be the only provider for our area. So we can't even hold them accountable and switch providers. Needless to say we are very, very frustrated with Veracity. Do yourself a favor and choose a different provider! more

Bad business policy/customer service! 4/20/2012

I was renting from an apartment which had a single veracity fiber line for each building (24 apartments). We had to ""sign up"" (check a box when applying for the apartment) if we wanted to use the built in network for internet or our own. By signing up we got an account where each month we had to login to verify we're still using the service I also setup where I could have it automatically charge my credit card so I wouldn?t have to do it each month. I figured why not I'd try it and if it wasn't up to par with what I expected I'd look for an alternative. It was a great internet connection except around 7-8pm when everyone was on then it would drop where I couldn't even load a basic webpage (only HTML, no images or JavaScript), I expected this to some degree but that was extreme. This made me think about paying the $600 installation fee for a dedicated line (my career is info tech). I was happy with the service until I moved out. I had my mail forwarding 1 week earlier to the new address (the post office standard regimentation) so I wouldn't miss anything. The first month I never received the paper bill I got each month, the second month I received a bill from veracity. This is when I checked my credit card to make last month?s payment and noticed that they billed me. To have my account canceled I had to call them (it wasn't a month-to-month plan, which the login seemed like it). The monthly login was not to show that the account was still active and the service was being used. After talking on the phone with a veracity representative I asked why have the hassle of login in if they don't use it to check if the service is being used and to bill the customer? The answer I got from them was vague but ended up with the meaning ""I don't know, why we do that, you should have been informed by your apartment complex"". They would not credit back the charge but would cancel the current bill and my account. I was angry they charged me for a service I was not receiving. They could even verify that I was not using the service because I didn?t login with my account that month. Up until that point I was happy with their service and even would recommend it to others but with that business policy and how I was treated and ended up having to pay a bill I never got service for I would not recommend them. I had better customer service from Comcast (that?s saying a lot). more

No Customer Service 3/24/2012

I was trying to figure out how to change my wifi password. On my first attempt to contact their customer service I waited for over 15 minutes on the phone. Once I got to a rep he told me he had no idea how to do that and I should try googling it. Now I've been holding over 12 minutes while I write this, still trying to get help. I'm guessing that google really is my only option. more

Awesome Internet and Speeds 12/7/2011

We have Veracity internet in our home and I could not say enough good about it. We have had it for several months now and not had a problem at all. I particularly appreciated the welcome letter they sent. Very helpful. I have never had that from other ISPs I have used. Helped get things setup and explained how to access the online billing portion, which I particularly liked. more

Great Service and Great Prices 12/3/2011

We could not be happier with our services and what we are paying. It is more expensive than Qwest or Comcast, but you get what you pay for! Having a TRUE 30 mg Internet is AMAZING!!!! I could not be more thrilled. The channel line up for the TV is pretty good. Similar to everyone else out there. We bundled and I would say we are cheaper than what we used to pay with another provider. And I will be honest, to get these speeds and reliability with Internet I would pay double what we are paying. It really is amazing! more

Amazing Internet! Great Service! 12/1/2011

BEST, MOST RELIABLE INTERNET EVER!!! I was so sad when we moved out of Provo and had to get dsl. Only had to call tech support once, but they were really quick. Can't say how much I miss this service! more

Veracity 10/29/2011

Worst cable i've ever used.. Horrible quality. Doesn't work all the time.. more

Terrible Customer Service!!! 10/27/2011

We are forced into using Veracity because we live in Traverse Mountain- their prices are too high because they don't have to compete with anyone! I tried at least getting away with not having to use their home phone service by doing a VOIP, but that didn't work properly for what I need as a work phone, so I had to change over to Veracity's home phone. It has been a month now since I started to try to change over and I have gotten nowhere! They aren't helping me- aren't responding to e-mails asking for help or to voicemails left asking for help! And when I did finally get a hold of someone there was no apology or discount given for their lack of help! If I didn't have to use them I would NEVER use this company!!! more

10 out of 10 8/26/2011

I am very pleased with it and the quality and speed associated with Veracity. It definitely beats the quality and pricing of anything around and I would highly recommend Veracity Networks to any of my neighbors and friends. I give you a 10 out of 10. more

Great quick service! 8/26/2011

I appreciate the wonderful customer service I received from Veracity today! Was having issues with my service cutting out this morning. Called customer service around 12:00, was told someone would be to my house between 1:00 and 3:00. By 2:10 he had come and gone and everything is working great! That was quick service! Thanks Veracity! more

What a nightmare! 7/13/2011

I've been down on internet for 5 days and they don't seem at all concerned. They want me to schedule a tech visit for tomorrow because they are busy and when I requested an after-hours visit they declined. Their service is good when it works, but we have had multiple problems with both internet and phone--and the service is friendly and ineffective. They just don't seen prepared to deal with problems and haven't built a stable system. In one year of service we have been down multiple days multiple times, the phone drops calls and connects without sound, and I'm looking for another service provider. more
