was i a rear end accident. there insured plowed me on the right rear as i was stopped at a up comming red light . he tells it that i stopped too fast in front of him and the sucky insurance he has wont even help me get a rental car to go to work. i have filed a complaint with the insurance commissioner of illinois and now must seek out a lawyer that will now take out 33.3 % and from what i see here it will be a big mess because they wont admit they are scammers and dont pay up when they take the low lifes that cant get insured by anyone else. this company need to be fined and employees need to be held accounted for the actions they do. i say make it a law if you scam the victims you too go to jail. make employees that are told by the fat cats to lie be held in jail for it. i am talking with randall clark from american casualty insurance.. his number is 1-630-570-7160 call him up. tell him we wont put up with this any more. pay for the low lifes you insure. i hope a law will pass that will make it a crime to lie and hide the truth from the victims of there scam. make the employees see we are not going to take this anymore. class action... all for it. lets get the company that takes and wont pay for the damages to us and our family more

This is the worst insurance ever. Please be aware if you are considering in getting this insurance company. I was an American Access insured. Their customer service is terrible. Avoid This Company!!! 1/9/2008

I had what I thought was full-coverage with the American Access Casualty Company. But when I was in an accident, and it was my fault because I ran into another car, the guy at American Access kept trying to make me think that another car was somehow involved and that the accident was another driver?s fault. I told them that no, another car was not involved and the police report reflected this, but the guy with American Access didn?t like what I said, so I finally said that ?maybe? another car was involved. Well, it turns out that because I said ?maybe? they wouldn?t pay for all of the other driver?s damages like they should have, and now that driver is taking me to court. And now American Access totally turned their back on me and won?t help, even though I had ?full-coverage.? I would suggest that people research insurance companies and pay that little extra, instead of getting cheap insurance from a dishonest little agency like American Access because they?ll only stab you in the back. more

American Axxess Casualty Company 1/6/2008

On 11/21/07 a client of American Access ran into my car exiting a parking space & since then I've been fighting to get my car repaired!! They also told me that they haven't reached there client & my claim will be denied if he's not contacted. I'm not stupid as long as his insurance was valid when the accident occuredt I will be getting paid!! I 've submitting a claim & I'm calling the Better Business Buearu. I have submitted a police report and my claim form but my next step is my Lawyer. There client was in the wrong I want what is coming to me. I'm not going anywhere like I told them until I get Justice. American Access needs to start doing the right thing or shut it's doors!! This is an unjustice and illegal!!! I'm gonna fight till the end and I hope everyone else that has a problem is not giving up!!! more

Liars, Rip-off artists, Cheaters, Worst Insurance Company 1/4/2008

I was unfortunately involved in an accident with an American Access client. The American Access client impacted me head on trying to take a left while I was proceeding through a green light. I had the right of way and the other driver was given a citation by the police, there was a witness who saw everything and it was quite obviously not my fault. Once the American Access agent, Rosa Ortega, reviewed the claim she made me an offer of 50% toward the damages on my car for an accident that was not my fault!!!!!!!! She claimed that the other driver said I was also turning the same direction and I had my turn signal on. Once I tried to tell her that was not true and that no matter what I had the right of way anyway she said she would not argue with me anymore and said the offer stood and I could take it or leave it. To make matters worse, their adjustor came up with a ridiculously low estimate on the repairs, when the car realistically should have been called a total loss for how much it was worth. I have explored legal action but for the amount of money they owe me, I will spend more money and time than it is worth, and I don't have much money to begin with. I am stuck taking their measly offer so I can get on with my life and get transportation, however I have filed a complaint with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Insurance Division, there is a link on their main page to file a complaint, it is hidden at the end of a sentence. Not good Auto Insurance Company. 12/26/2007

This insurance company is sub-par, meaning they are not up to being a very good company, in terms of types of companies that do business in Ililnois. They insure the hispanic community, and try and negotiate all types of claims against them, such as if their insured does damage, they would try and get your insurance company to pay part of the bills, also if you loose wages, they try and get your losses and deductibles lowered, so they make more profit. On scale of 1-10, rated as a 1, also because of difficulty in working with them. more

We were rear-ended by one of American Access Casualty's insured and 3 months later are still fighting for payment on our claim. They say they cannot reach the insured so our claim is denied. This is just another lie American Access is using to not pay for what is their resonsibility. Not only are they denying my claim with lies, they never call me back, treat me terribly when I do finally reach them on the phone and according to the Better Business B. and other reviews online they do this to everyone. A company like this should not be allowed to exist or function any longer. I will continue to fight for my money and file complaints with every organization and website that I can. Pseudo Insurance Company 9/28/2007

At the end of July of this year I was rear ended by an American Access client. This insurance company is the worst at taking responsibility like insurance companies should. If it wasn't for MY insurance, my car would not be fixed and I drove it for a week and it was deemed undriveable. Do you think American Access cared? Of course not! The person that caused this said he was responsible and he would take full responsibility. We decided we would not call the police and we would let out insurance companies deal with it. American Access had the audacity to give me an offer of paying 75% ( there was over $3,000 worth of damage to my car) and the reason was the other driver told them I came to an abrupt stop. After seeing other reviews, I am inclined to believe they convinced him of that. After speaking to the adjuster, by the way, her name is Norma Herrera, I just wanted to reach into the phone and remove her from her smugness. I was attempting to have my car looked at and worked on by one of the body shops they use. It was working out that way. I immediately called my insurance company and got the ball rolling. An adjuster came to my job, I got a car rental and in the end my car was fixed. Before I picked up my car, my insurance company called me and let me know that the other party was taking full responsiblity. It sounds like it should be the end of story, but guess what, it isn't. For the last month I have been attempting to call this person and get my money back from the rental. They have already paid back my insurance company and now I need to go after them for my money. I will continue to call and see if this broad will ever pick up her phone, but in the meantime, I am reporting them. I am trying to retrieve $120. It's not a lot, but it's my money and right now it's the principle of the matter and they are pissing me off. I don't appreciate being lied to and talked down to. Now it's my turn and I plan to win - I HAVE TIME FOR THIS! Cons: Yes, they are!! more

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! 9/21/2007

In June of ths year I unfortunatly was in a accident with someone who has American Access Insurance. According to the police the other party was at 100% fault. I then decided there was NO reason to file the insurance with my company. So I then attempted to reach someone at American Access. Well this is where the nightmare began. First of all the customer service IF you can even call it that is HORRIBLE!!! They talk over you, cut you off in what your saying and are extremely rude. I finally reached someone to file the claim and they had me take my car in to have an estimate done. We promptly took the car to have the estimate done and alls we were told is that we would be contacted by the insurance company. We waited and waited and waited. Finally about 4 weeks later I received a phone call from my claims adjuster who told me they have not been able to reach their insured so the case was going to remain un-resolved until they were able to obtain a statement. I asked them what happened if their insured never provided a statement. They said the claim at that point would remin un-resolved and i would have to find an alternative way of repairing my car. WHAT is the point of having insurance then??? Why is everyone required to have insurance if it the insurance companies are allowed to conduct business like this. It's just a scam for the insurance companies to fill their pockets. After hearing this I looked on my police report for the contact number for the insured and gave him a call and wouldn't you believe it he answered his phone on the second ring and had a FULL conversation about the accident with me. So why was American Access claiming they were having a hard time reaching him??? I then procedded to file a report against American Access through the better business and the division of insurance. Soon after I filed the report I receive a letter from them offering me a settlement of $150. The damage to my car was almost $700. This company is a scam and stay away!!!!! Worse Insurance ever! 8/31/2007

They have the worst customer service and claims department ever. If you try to collect a claim on and auto accident. They would never return your phone call and if you were to talk to you they always tell you little BS lies and on top of that with a attitude even their supervisors has a problem. Then I found out 4 months later through other agengy that they had denied my cliam, they never sent me a letter and no phone call telling me about my status of my claim or anything. So I would HIGHLY NOT recommend this insurance to anybody and even to my worst enemy. So good luck trying to get anything from these people. This rating should be zero stars. The worst customer service and BS I have ever heard. My daughter was backe into by an American Access Casualty customer in a parking lot... this person backed out of a parking space. The run-around about who to get the estimates from & lack of information from them is appalling. They are by far the worst I have ever experienced so good luck if you are a customer of theirs. No doubt in my mind that whoever gave the good review is an employee...that is the only way they could get a good review. more

My vehicle was rear-ended almost 3 months ago by on of AAC's policy holders. The police report clearly states that it was this guy's fault. He was even ticketing and also arrested for not having a license. Another person and I watched the accident happen (my car was parked and off). I kept getting the claims dept voicemail and then no one called back. I did get a letter with my rep's name and number but they never call back either. I had to be a sqeaky wheel and keep dialing 0 and insisting that I speak to someone and not another voicemail. The rep I deal with is not rude, but does avoid me or is sneaky. Like calling me back at my evening number when I've told them in 3 vm's that day to call me at my day number. Supposedly their guy is now saying that says he didn't make contact w/my car. I think they are lying or they have put their policy holder up to saying this. They were just going to deny the claim because of this but they have decided to be nice and offer me 50% of the estimate. A cheapy estimate given by some small, shady bodyshop that they use. It has taken 2 1/2 months for them to offer a little over a hundred bucks for repairs that will cost almost five hundred. If I don't get anywhere with a supervisor, I'll have to go through my insurance, shell out my deductible and let them deal with getting the money back from AAC. I will be reporting them in the meantime. It is just unethical for them to be able to get away with this. If the tables were turned the other guy would have been taken care of by my insurance company already. Pros: Rep hasn't been rude...yet. Cons: taking foreverer, won't pay the claim, won't call back. more

Worst Auto Insurance Ever 3/26/2007

The person who wrote ""No Problems"" works there. Dan Cummings is probably Dan Behling, the Claims Manager, WHO REFUSES TO PAY CLAIMS. THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW. ""Stop your complaining"" ? How about stop being liars and thieves? They will try to rip you off, these criminals, disguised as an insurance company. Do not be intimidated, register complaints to the ILLINOIS DEPT. OF FINANCIAL & PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS (website is their initials). Click on ""filing a consumer complaint"" and ""division of insurance"" and then ""auto insurance"". Eventually they'll do jail time and the company will be out of business, but we need to let the authorities know. This blog will not do it for us. ""TELL YOUR FRIENDS."" I had no problems with this company at all when I reported my accident to them. Everyone I talked to was helpful and courteous and they went out of their way to accomodate me to get me car in for an estimate as my work schedule did not allow me to take my car to one of their places at the times there reps were there. Procedures were clear and the people I talked to were never rude. Any message I left was returned within the same day. I read these reviews after I reported my claim after hearing horror stories about other companys and was prepared for the worst. I am sure it all depends on the nature of the claim how quickly your claim gets resolved. My policy was only a week old when my car got struck and understood why they needed a police report and other docs to process my claim. I work in the customer service industry and now first hand how impatient people can be and how rude they can be if they don't get what they want when they want it. So all i can say is keep up the good work and don't let these few complainers discourage you if you have a claim with them. If you treat people with respect, they will respect you as well. American Access Casualty Co is ""THE WORSE"" consumer experience I have ever been a part of. Steven Spielberg's imagination probably could not have thought up such a horror(OK maybe he could've). That storm we had a few weeks ago uprooted a tree that crushed the roof of my car causing major frame damage. Every time I call American Casualty I have to look at my clock to make sure that I'm within business hours because I rarely get a live rep. I've left over 10 messages in 3 weeks time with no real answers. I was finally told that they were awaiting word from the appraiser. My most recent call lead me to write this review. I called to check the status of my fully covered claim and was verbally manslaughtered by 2 of the claims reps! One guy even hung up on me! I called back and talked to his super expecting some gesture of revival and she was equally as inconsiderate as he was. Their care for the consumer is unbelievably, non-existent. I can see trying to run around someone whose had 3 claims in a year, but I haven't had any in the car's five years of life. Zero. I am definitely going to take this issue to the States Attorney and file a claim against this company because they should be as their care for the consumer is: NON-EXISTENT. Please don't ""take it like a man"". I won't allow my hard earned money and my consumer rights be trampled over like the dirt on a horserace track. If you have insurance here, my suggestion is that you switch as soon as your policy expires. If you don't and are considering insurance here, this place is like a car without seatbelts. They will stick you in the passenger's seat, tie your hands to your thighs, and drop you in the middle of an expressway with brick on the ""go"" pedal with a claims adjuster's signature on you forehead. Please Steer Clear! Please! I don't even know you and I don't want to see you as a passenger in this ""car"". more

Getting insurance from American Access was the worst decision I have ever made! The staff AND management is rude, unprofessional and just plain mean! I've never been treated this bad! After my accident I was told that I was responsible for 1/3 of the cost of repairs! Even though I had FULL Coverage, the claims adjustor found a vague clause in my policy and stuck ME with the bill! There is no way to reason with these people! They will abuse you, bully you, and drag out your claim for months! Needless to say, I am currently in the process of filing a complaint with the Attorney General and the Consumer Insurance Board . I wish I had enough money to close this place down. American Access should not be in business. I hope that no one has to go through the horrible experience I had to go through. Pros: It's cheap, but not worth it. Cons: You may think you're saving money but they will make you pay for it! more
