This is my first review on Yelp even though I'm an avid Yelp user.lol Anyways my fiancee and I had a horribe dinner experience at yelp and sent an email to the Mussel Pot Manager ...

New Favorite 1/18/2012

It was an unforgettable moment the first time I ate at the Mussel Pot. It was a blind date set by my cousin for his officemate. The guy brought me at the Mussel Pot but I never liked the guy. Instead, I liked the place for it was very classy. It was well-adorned so that it looks very elegant. The place vibrates a whimsical atmosphere that is invigorating. My cousin reserved us a table near the garden, I find it very romantic though. The Mussel Pot had a Koi fish pond built underneath its falls which is cute. The wine is fine and the waiters were accommodating and a good company. Our orders also were promptly delivered and were served with a smile. The Mussel Pot is my new favorite sea-food restaurant. more

Fresh Mussels 1/18/2012

It’s very seldom that I eat sea food dishes; it’s not that I don’t like it but maybe because there is small number of establishments that offer sea-foods. But since I was assigned for a work at the Bleeker Street, I could easily go in the Mussel Pot to enjoy mussels. One of the qualities of the mussels here is that it’s very refreshing because the mussels are very fresh you feel like you are eating at the beach. It’s totally a break from the usual boring fast-food and land meats. One thing that I have observed from their meals is that it’s uniqueness from other restaurant’s preparation. Instead of serving mussels with broths they serve it with rich and thick sauces. It’s very tasty and refreshing. more

Great for Bonding With My Dauhgter 1/18/2012

My daughter and I are very fond of eating mussels at the Mussel Pot. We dined here maybe twice a month or whenever we find something worth celebrating. One of her favorite was the Lobster Dijon (tomato sauce, clams, sherry, white wine, onions, potatoes, carrots, basil, fresh oregano, cream) while I indulge myself with the Chef’s Best mussels (tomato sauce, clams, sherry, white wine, onions, potatoes, carrots, basil, fresh oregano, cream). Our dinner together at the restaurant serves as one of our best bonding time because I am very busy throughout the week. After our meal (or even before meal) she never missed to visit the Koi fish pond at the outdoor garden. The seats in that area were always full but if we happen to dine here during slack hours we would choose to be seated near the pond. All of their food (as far as I have tried) are excellent especially their desserts. more

We’ll Be Coming Back 1/18/2012

I invited my father yesterday for a dinner at the Mussel Pot. It’s been a while since the last time we had dinner together. I just want to share my amusement for my father was very picky in terms of food but I guess the Mussel Pot were just good enough to impress my father with their different sea-food dishes. He doesn’t have any preference towards food and was hard to please but he appreciated the mussels in the Mussel Pot. He added after the dinner that the mussels are his new favorite dish. He wore a big smile as we went outside the premise. I enjoyed the night as well for the place was very beautiful. They have seats at their outdoor oasis garden which had falls flowing in its cascaded rock-wall. The small koi fish pond underneath the falls also was very cute. I like it maybe because I am a nature lover. I guess we will be coming back next week. more

best deal in the village! 1/18/2012

i actually bought a groupon deal for a gf and i...$30 for two plates of mussels and two sides??? crazy good deal. and the mussels were ahmazzzing. i'm a huge seafood fan so my standards can be pretty high. it was the perfect night, they have a great wine selection too and the servers are great at recommending wines based on the food you get. more

My Favorites at the Mussel Pot 1/17/2012

I love the Mussel Pot’s Lobster Cobb Salad; it is unique because it has iceberg lettuce, tomato, corn relish, blue cheese, guacamole, scallion, butter poached lobster and peppercorn ranch dressing. I also tried their Cheeseburger and Hand cut Fries; it ground rib-eye & NY strip topped with hardwood smoked bacon, romaine lettuce, beef steak tomato and picked red onion and Swiss cheese. These two were equally excellent. The Chef’s best mussel with lobster cheese fondue, pancetta and black truffles was so good. It was served up in a stainless steel pot but I find it too high that you are eating while peering on top of the pot. But overall, as far as I have tried the Mussel Pot really did a great job. I recommend that if you happen to pass at the Bleeker St., take time pamper your seafood cravings at The Mussel Pot. more

Wonderful Experience 1/17/2012

I’ve been here at the Mussel Pot last Tuesday night having dinner and I was amazed by the mussels that I had ordered. I love the way they presented it, instead of just broths they use rich sauce on it. Its uniqueness and richness in taste makes this restaurant one of a kind. I love their dining area as well because they had on their wall enormous pictures of lovely beaches and their outdoor oasis garden were extraordinary. The garden is cascaded with rocks on its wall and has a small Koi pond beneath it. I love their uniqueness in almost everything. Dining here certainly is a wonderful experience for you. more

I Absolutely Love the Place 1/17/2012

My best friend brought me at this restaurant yesterday. I was kind of hesitant at first for the Mussel Pot was quite a lengthy ride from our place. But we were amazed when we arrived at the restaurant by its elegance and fanciful ambiance. I thought at first that best friend was kind of being jerk but he was right. I absolutely love the place because of its beauty. He ordered me a mussel dish the Ciaopino with classic Italian broth, clams, shrimp, scallops, fennel, basil, garlic parmesan croutons. I never had eaten like this before but it really got me. It’s certainly one of the best I have ever tried. Another thing is that the place was very well adorned. It’s a real classic. My friend has just given me an Idea where to take my brother in for his birthday. more

Unique Place 1/17/2012

My cousin went here at the Mussel Pot on Thursday evening and called me to join here in a dinner. She said it was her treat. It’s been a long time since we haven’t done this that’s why I agreed to follow him after my work. It was my first time to dine here that is why I feel different at first. But as the time goes by I learned to love the place. The staffs here are very nice to us and attend to whatever our dining needs. My cousin looked so much satisfied about the place. The foods also were excellent. Adding to their unique menu is their unique whimsical atmosphere. They had these amazing photography of beautiful beaches hanged into their wall. They also built an oasis outdoor garden located at the rear of the restaurant. They created flowing water in its cascade rock-wall and put a small Koi pond beneath it. It’s really a unique experience dining here. My cousin added that we must go back here and I just give her a nod. more

The Service Was Fast 1/17/2012

My two brothers and I wants to spend more time with each other. We are all food-lovers and we have no specific preference about food. We heard about this place so we plan on having dinner here. We ordered some food, and the service was quite really good. The service was fast, we didn't wait that long for our food to arrive. The waiters are friendly and attentive. Even though my younger brother is not fond of eating seafood, I was really happy because he really liked the food. He wanted to eat here again and again. One of our favorite is the Lobster Mac'N Cheese. It's just so tasty and creamy. more

Pleasing Restaurant 1/16/2012

I’ve been at “The Mussel Pot” about a week ago and I think it was (as everyone puts it) one of the most excellent sea-food restaurant in the city. I say that you better try their Thai mussel it’s the one with green & red curry, lemongrass, cilantro, coconut milk, fresh ginger and garlic. It’s a very mouth-watering mussel that just thinking of it makes you feel like you are hungry again. Another thing is that their place is very pleasing to the senses. I always feel good dining here. more

Really Exquisite 1/16/2012

My friend invited me for dinner. She said we will be having mussels for dinner. I was not really into it because I’m not a seafood lover. When we arrive at The Mussel Pot, I was impressed with the place. It was quite beautiful and I think I like the place. The waiter took the order, he was friendly and attentive. I was so surprised because the food was really exquisite. I've never thought it will be that be that delicious. It was really worth it. We had much fun eating while we share our funny experiences with each other. I think that is the point where we became closer with each other. I think it was because of the time we spent at the Mussel Pot that I found my best friend. more

My Friends Also Love It Here 1/16/2012

It's was birthday last Thursday and I want to celebrate it in a quite classy place that’s why I chose The Mussel Pot. It's been quite a while that I haven't visited this place. I brought along with me some of my friends. They never thought that this is a very good place to dine. They really love the foods that are served. The place is so classical and really beautiful. We really had so much fun. We couldn't be happier than what we had at the restaurant. I really want to commend The Mussel Pot for having the best mussel recipes. One of the best dishes I had is the Blue Mussel Rigatoni. It's very delicious; it's the best dish that I ever had. I would be much grateful to tell my parents about this restaurant. I'm sure they will also love this place. more

Stress Reliever 1/16/2012

This is not the first time that I ate here in Mussel Pot. I've been here quite a few times. The reason for that is the food itself. I always ordered for the New York Mussel Pot. That is one of my favorite. I really love eating mussels. I always had a good time eating in this place. It always makes me comfortable and light headed. I really love this place. The Mussel Pot is both excellent food and amazing in their decorations. I could not say anything more. Having this kind of restaurant is truly a success. My family had a wonderful time having dinner here last week. The foods were worth waiting for. My mother really loves the place. She's already planning of celebrating her birthday here. The price is just right for us. I find no hassle on the table reservations. Dining here would remove all your stress. more

None Ever Match It’s Taste 1/16/2012

I love the Mussel pot’s Lobster Cobb Salad it’s the one with iceberg lettuce, tomato, corn relish, blue cheese, guacamole, scallion, and butter poached lobster and peppercorn ranch dressing. I am not a vegetarian but I just love how it is prepared. The meat is very tender and pretty tasty. I have been at other restaurants lately specifically sea-food restaurants and none of them ever matched the taste of the Mussel Pot’s recipes. I am just really a big Mussel Pot lover and almost all of the dishes I have tried so far were great. If you happen to visit the restaurant you will certainly be amazed at the elegance of the place and its whimsical atmosphere. The restaurant was well-embellished and it also had a unique outdoor garden and a koi pond beneath this rock-walled garden. It’s truly an energizing feeling dinning here. more

Delightful Meals 1/16/2012

As you stroll along Bleeker Street you will come across a lot of types of cuisine that can satisfy your cravings. But in my opinion it’s the Mussel Pot that actually got me. It’s the only eating place I could think about whenever someone mentions about great sea-food dishes. The last time I’ve been here it was on Tuesday and I ordered a Valenciana which includes saffron sauce, fresh clams, shrimp, chorizo, peas, tomato, white wine, olive oil, lemon juice, butter and bay leaf. This pleasing meal is served on dinner and ideal if you have a special someone with you. They also have attractive desserts and one of my favorite is the Drunken Cheese Cake. It’s a sweet airy cheese cake topped with fresh caramelized strawberries in a mouth watering rum sauce topped with a hazelnut crumble. It is exactly what I wanted. more

My Daughter’s Favorite 1/16/2012

I brought my daughter at The Mussel Pot after her dance recital last Friday. It was just an ordinary meal but my daughter thought it was my reward for her great performing in their class activity. I guess he got her love for food from her daddy. Though I am not a sea-food lover but I really love dining here at this restaurant mainly because I feel good about the place for it offers and elegant dining experience and the staffs are very accommodating. My daughter ordered a lobster as usual. She likes its soft meat and incredible taste very much. She is getting used to the place and the way the staffs handle her. Whenever we came here she never missed to visit the Koi pond located at the outdoor oasis garden the Mussel Pot’s unique garden. more

My Best Friends’ Favorite 1/16/2012

Alyssa and Aleksa (my two best friends) are big fans of sea-foods. They really love lobsters and mussels, these maybe the reason why they are very hooked up at the Mussel Pot. Last Thursday I spotted them again at the said restaurant. They were having dinner and were looking fine. I joined them and they dare me to try the Chef’s best (lobster cheese fondue, hard smoked bacon, roasted wild mushrooms) it was a very tasty dish and indeed a very unique recipe. They also love to stay at the place because they just like it here enjoying the invigorating environment and refreshing ambiance. They have also nothing to complain about the staffs for they observed that the staffs were very attentive and kind. I guess I am just learning to love this place. more

Exactly what I Wanted 1/13/2012

As you walk along Bleeker Street you will come across many types of cuisine that can quench your hunger. But personally it’s the Mussel Pot that really got me. It’s the only restaurant I could think about whenever someone looks for excellent sea-food dishes. The last time I’ve been here it was on Monday and I ordered a hot Lobster Mac’n Cheese which includes fresh lobster, hardwood smoked bacon and hiitake mushrooms. This satisfying meal is served on dinner and perfect if you have your special someone with you. They also have lovely desserts and of my favorite is the Chocolate Teardrop with White Chocolate Mousse. It’s sweet Belgium white chocolate mousse and cherries are served in a ribbon of dark chocolate. It is exactly what I wanted. more

The Mussels at the Mussel Pot 1/13/2012

I love the Mussel Pot’s Mussel Pot Salad; it is unique because it has fresh poached blue mussels, shallots, grape tomatoes, baby shrimp, cucumber, basil, olives, feta, and herb vinaigrette. I also tried their Lobster Cobb Salad; it has iceberg lettuce, tomato, corn relish, blue cheese, guacamole, scallion, butter poached lobster and peppercorn ranch dressing. These two were equally excellent. The Chef’s best mussel with lobster cheese fondue, pancetta and black truffles was so good. It was served in stainless steel pot but I just find it too high that you are eating while peering on top of the pot. But overall and so far as I have tried the Mussel Pot really did a great job. I suggest that if happen to pass by the Bleeker St., take time indulge your seafood craving at The Mussel Pot. more
