Inviting Ambiance 2/1/2012

I love how the Mussel Pot treats their customers. They are very kind and attentive on your dining needs. The ambiance itself is very inviting. The interior designs are pretty and fanciful; it’s very pleasing to the eyes and makes you want to stay longer. They also built an outdoor oasis garden which is Koi-pounded. The area shouts a nice dating spot. The foods they offer are very mouth–watering and are worth the money you paid. I already tried their New York and Thai mussels and it was very refreshing. They taste so real. more

They are the Specialist 2/1/2012

The Mussel Pot is really a specialist when it comes to mussel dishes. I’ve heard they had a wide list of at least 2 dozen different mussels and at least 20 different mussel recipes. The dishes are also uniquely prepared with its tasty and rich sauces instead of just broths. They had various ingredients and homemade sauces broken down by its originating region. The dishes taste quite very delicious and very refreshing because the mussels are always newly harvested. You will feel like you are eating on the seashore. more

good food and fun space 2/1/2012

they play really fun techno music and it totally gets you pumped for a night out. if you dont go in with a groupon or some sorta deal it can be a bit pricey, but the ambiance and food make it worth it. more

Best We Ever Had 1/31/2012

Tuesday evening, we were walking around the village and discovered this spot. It was 75 degrees out and they had the front doors open. I observed that there was a garden in the back so we made a decision to go inside and have dinner. The menu is really fascinating, 20 or so different dishes with mussels in it. We had a range of oysters and mussels and they were very refreshing. We split a pot of the Pesto mussels. Delish!! My companion had the chicken and waffles also. She said it was one of the best she’s ever had…I had a bite and have to agree. Really nice crunchy skin and the honey and herb butter were awesome. Glad we found this place. Definitely we’ll be coming back. more

I Can Feel Their Warm Welcome 1/31/2012

The service at The Mussel Pot restaurant is likely to have had a hand to play in its suggestion. On coming into the restaurant I was made to feel instantly welcome. The two waiters who catered me were attentive and passionate in resolving any queries that I had. In a fundamental off-season restaurant my food was functioned instantaneously, but after plenty of it to assure me that it had been baked contemporary. The restaurants ambiance was really nice and very pleasing especially the outdoor garden. The experience here is superb while the foods are all great. The food preparation are very unique with its rich and tasty sauces-quite impressive. It’s a creative innovation from their chef. more

Excellent 1/30/2012

I was really impressed at how the Mussel Pot does their thing. They are offering more than sleek and casual dining atmosphere. They had a wide variety of mussel choices from the appetizers to the entrees. I’ve heard they have at least two dozen different types of mussels. I have already tried the Indian (red curry, tomato, coconut milk, ginger, cloves, coriander, chives, lime) and the Ciaopino (classic Italian broth, clams, shrimp, scallops, fennel, basil, garlic parmesan croutons) and both were very lovely. The mussel preparations were very unique. They serve it with rich and tasty sauces instead of just broths. Excellent. more

Pleasant and Relaxing 1/30/2012

The good thing about the Mussel Pot is that they had a unique but excellent taste that are outstanding beyond others. The mussels are also remarkably fresh. They had two dozen different mussels which is an edge against others. They certainly are the mussel specialists with their wide variety of mussel recipes. Their place is also amazingly beautiful with sleek and huge mirrors and photographs of beautiful beaches. Handcraft chandeliers were also hanged into their ceilings that add up to the fanciful ambiance of the place. The outdoor oasis garden was fanciful and romantic with the verdant greenery, rock-walls, falls and a cute and small Koi fish pond. The staffs were also very friendly which completes a very pleasant and relaxing stay at the restaurant. more

Had a Great Birthday Celebration Here 1/29/2012

Yesterday was a very big day for my best friend. It was his birthday and since his family is out of the country we just take him out for a different celebration. We had agreed to just have some sea-foods at the Mussel Pot. So we headed straight towards the Bleeker Street. It was his first time here and he find the place fanciful and relaxing. We choose to be seated at the outdoor for it looks refreshing. They had built a koi-pounded garden on it with a small falls flowing into the cascaded rock wall. We had a mussel pot salad (fresh poached blue mussels, shallots, grape tomatoes, baby shrimp, cucumber, basil, olives, feta, herb vinaigrette, greens) and it was really fresh. He ordered a Lobster Dijon which has a saffron sauce, dijon mustard, lobster sauce, smoked hardwood bacon, garlic, tarragon, baby shrimp and baby scallops) which he gave me a share. It was really good and the preparation was unique and excellent. The waiters and hostess were friendly and accommodating. more

Great Burgers and Fries 1/29/2012

If you are a huge fan of fast-food products like fries and burgers then you might want to consider the Mussel Pot’s Cheese Burger and Hand Cut Fries. It has ground rib-eye & NY strip topped with hardwood smoked bacon, romaine lettuce, beef steak tomato and picked red onion and Swiss cheese. It’s indeed a very satisfying. Maybe that is why my brother and I always like to go back here. We were into to these types of food since we were small and we really love it. We both agree that their taste is better than the one that we had tried in the fast-food chains. Plus dining at the Mussel Pot is very relaxing. We both love the classy ambiance of the place. It is indeed more relaxing than on fast-food chains where we are used to eat. more

You’ll Surely Love It Here 1/29/2012

It was a week ago when I first learned about the Mussel Pot. It was a very starving night when I accidentally discovered this restaurant. I am not really into sea-foods but I still like it but I was amazed when my ordered arrive at my table. I ordered the Valenciana with saffron sauce, fresh clams, shrimp, chorizo, peas, tomato, white wine, olive oil, lemon juice, butter and bay leaf. It was served with ample of servings. I am not used to order lobsters but this dish really got me. It’s very pleasing. I definitely love it and add it to my list. I love the superiority of its taste. I am certain to go back here if I had enough time for I want try other dishes also. Additionally, you would surely love to stay here for the restaurants interior design is very pleasing to the eyes. It’s very elegant. more

Elegant Atmosphere 1/26/2012

Dad brought me at the Mussel Pot about a week ago. In our family, it’s just the two of us who loves the sea-food dishes. We came here for a dinner which also serves as our date for it’s been a while since we go out together. We ordered the Mussel Pot Salad (fresh poached blue mussels, shallots, grape tomatoes, baby shrimp, cucumber, basil, olives, feta, herb vinaigrette, greens ) and the most sought-after Chef’s Best (lobster cheese fondue, hard smoked bacon, roasted wild mushrooms). It was truly a satisfying dinner. I love the freshness of the mussels which different from what we have experienced at other food establishments. For dessert we ordered the Drunken Cheese cake which is an airy cheese cake topped with fresh caramelized strawberries in a mouth watering rum sauce topped with a hazelnut crumble which is perfect for the meal. The Mussel Pot’s dining area is what I really love the most. I love its whimsical ambiance. It had simple decorations but it vibrates elegant atmosphere which I find very refreshing and unwinding. more

Undeniably the Best 1/26/2012

I guess there are no other seafood restaurants here in New York that can surpass the excellence that the Mussel Pot does into their mussel recipes. They had homemade sauces and various ingredients broken down by originating region. They also have 12 dozen different mussels which is their edge against other restaurants of the like. The chef (as everyone puts it) is truly a specialist in mussels as well as other sea-food dishes. The chef infused a classic comfort food into the mussels with some hearty, rich sauces instead of just broths. It’s definitely unique and excellent dining experience you will get from dining at the Mussel Pot. When it comes to mussels, undeniably they are the best. more

NYC's best seafood 1/26/2012

Yeah, I said it! Don't know how anybody could say otherwise. The food is the freshest, the servers the nicest, the ambiance the most romantic! more

Fanciful Ambiance and Unique Mussels 1/25/2012

Most of the people who love to dine at the mussel pot admired the fanciful ambiance and unique mussel dishes. I too was being drawn towards the restaurant by the same reason. Anyone who would happen to dine here would instantly love the place. It was very elegant and classy which vibrates a whimsical atmosphere that makes your stay more relaxing and worthwhile. Their world-class recipes for the mussel and other sea foods are also hard to resist especially the uniqueness of the mussel. It was infused with classic comfort with its hearty rich sauces. They are considered by most as the specialist of mussels. The restaurant had an extensive list of two dozen different mussels with homemade sauces and various ingredients that are broken down by originating region. more

Excellent In Everything They Do 1/25/2012

I like almost all about the Mussel Pot. It was just a couple of blocks away from our apartment and our family loves seafood very much. I like interior design of the place and how they arrange things. The indoor dining area looks very elegant. I can’t help but notice the huge and clear mirrors and nice photography of beaches lining on their walls. The outdoor area also had a cute and verdant oasis garden which is Koi-pounded. It was a very romantic place. They nice comfort rooms are well-maintained as well as the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. The service is remarkable because the staffs here are very attentive and responsive. The orders are quickly served unlike any other restaurants that you were like waiting forever for your orders to be served. Finally, the food especially the mussels were very mouth-watering and delicious. They serve it with a huge stainless steel pot with a lid to keep it hot. They are just excellent in everything they do. more
