Our Navien TWH was leaking. The Tech came, Mike Cooper, prior to looking at the unit he wanted me to initial a pad saying that he wanted to be paid $179.00 prior to looking at the unit. I had already taken the cover off the unit, He stood at the unit for a few minutes and could not discover where the water was coming from and said that they would just have to explore different areas until they got it resolved.
I got a paper towel and showed him the red cap that was dripping water into a plastic pail that I had set up. He said that I was observant. He called Navien and spoke to sales, describing the red cap.He ordered the cap, told me it was coming soon. i gave him my credit card and paid $179.00. and left.
The part arrived the next Day, I installed it and put the cover back on. and I am left with the feeling that just got hustled. No, I would never recommend anyone to use this service Also, I found a Navien Parts dealer, The part actually cost $17.69
