I have called on Magnolia Plumbing several times now in the past year, and I am very happy with them. When you call--there is always a pleasant voice on the other end. Appointment set-up never takes long and the technicians are always pleasant and very knowledgeable when it comes to explaining your problem and resolving it. I have finally found a plumber that I will happily stick with!!!!!! more

Main Sewage and Water Line Replacement 10/18/2017

Humberto approached the replacement of our main sewage and water supply line with professionalism and a customer-centric focus. While there is an inherent inconvenience factor when your sewage and water lines require replacement, Humberto prioritized retention of water and bathroom service to lessen the disruption of the project Despite the challenges of excavation (one area required manually shoveling dirt within a low ceiling area under porch) he waited until the original lines were fully excavated before disconnecting the legacy plumbing and connecting the new lines. Thus, water and bathroom services were lost for hours rather than days if a more haphazard approach was undertaken. He addressed my concerns - even if inconvenient- and without development of an unpleasant disposition. He managed his work crew well and expediently instituted corrective action when needed. Lastly, he develops his subordinates -in this case Nelson- so that if other project requires his presence, they are able to manage the work team and maintain the timeline and work quality. more

Outstanding Service Worth Every Penny 10/17/2017

Okay ... Magnolia is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I called Magnolia after receiving some truly terrible service and questionable advice from John G. Webster, the so-called radiator experts. Russ came out promptly on a Friday afternoon, demonstrated superior knowledge regarding my 100+ year old radiators, and scheduled an appointment for me to receive service first thing Monday morning. On Monday, Russ and Jose were on time, polite, professional, and efficient. They did exactly what they promised to do on Friday, exactly as promised, without any surprises. They took great care to inquire about my preferences and they went above and beyond to protect my brand new floors. I would hire Magnolia again, and request Russ and Jose in heartbeat. more

Reggie is a life saver! 10/6/2017

My husband and I were worried that our small boiler could not effectively heat a 78-year old house with drafty windows, but Reggie put our minds at ease. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and satisfactorily. He also brought up the subject of a carbon monoxide detector, which we did not have, and urged us to get one. He very well could have saved our lives. more

Marvin was great to work with. He came to my home, was very professional and was extremely patient answering my many questions. When he heard that I needed to leave for work in a matter or hours he quickly completed the job. He had a great attitude and I would work with him again anytime. more

Carlos was so helpful and friendly diagnosing and then installing our AC unit. He was super quick, and so nice! I don't wish a broken AC upon anyone in the DC heat, but if it does, definitely call Carlos! more

Above & beyond 9/11/2017

Geo was my service pro and I could not be more pleased. Not only was the quality of his work excellent but when he did not have enough pipe to finish the job that evening he came back at 6:00 am the next morning and completed the repairs in time for me to get to work on time! I would not hesitate to give an excellent recommendation for Geo to my friends and family. more

Excellent Service on Our Sump System 9/5/2017

We live in an older home (built approximately 1942). The original owner had a sump system installed to deal with ground water in 1982 which was two years before we purchased the home. In July we found ponding water in one area of the basement floor and learned that the original terracotta pipes were collapsing under the foundation. This required major work, opening the floor to expose the sump trench all the way around the perimeter of the basement and installing new technology pipe. Humberto H. from Magnolia, and his apprentice Joe, did a masterful job of managing this job. They took great pains to keep the dust in check, only using the jackhammer when absolutely necessary. Humberto also met with us daily to give us a status report. We were dreading getting this work done but Humberto and his crew did great work and made the whole experience quite tolerable. more

I've had reason to use Magnolia many times over the years. The heat pump stopped working. As always, Reggie carefully ran diagnostics until he found a part that needed to be replaced. And as always he made sure the system was running properly before he left. more

Amazing job!!! 8/8/2017

I don't normally review companies but I have to say Magnolia did an amazing job. I will say that they did have a little hiccup and forgot to schedule me which cost me a day of work, but fortunately for them they sent Carlos the following day. He was one of the most pleasant, helpful, professional, and informative AC technicians I have ever met. He showed me what some of his concerns were and even gave me some helpful tips on how to help maintain the HVAC system in the future to help avoid expensive repairs. I will definitely use them for any and all of my future AC needs. more

I highly recommend Darrell for all your plumbing and HVAC needs. He's a really nice, knowledgeable and professional tech. He'll answer all your questions, explain the situation so you understand and will respond to your calls should any issue arise afterward. He finished exactly on time as well. Also, like techs are supposed to do, he wears shoe covers when entering your home. more

We had to replace our drainage line in an old DC rowhouse. Huumberto was terrific - explained the process, performed the work expertly, and followed up. We've used Magnolia Plumbing Heating & Cooling for a number of jobs, and they've always been totally professional and complete. more

Awesome Service 7/3/2017

Sam arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed the problem. The installer (not Magnolia) had failed to put a metering device in the evaporator coil. It was twice as hot upstairs as down, and there was no cold air coming through the vents. Before going to get a new device, Sam looked around the unit and found the original device that the installers had failed to install. He saved us money and time, and now the house is comfortable again. He explained everything he was going to do, and then everything he did. Quick, thorough and professional. Will definitely use Sam and Magnolia again!!! more

Air Conditioning Repair 6/26/2017

Saied F. and Magnolia Plumbing were amazing. They responded quickly, gave me a fair quote and set up a window that same day to come and see my A/C problem. They sent a team prior to my service technician arriving to assess the situation and do a quick analysis of my home and needs. They offered quotes if you wanted them. I opted to sign up for the service plan to ensure that my unit got regular check-ups. The price seemed reasonable and it came with other perks such as discounts on service. Saied was incredibly professional. He was thorough and explained each step as he did it. He tried multiple ways of fixing my condenser and was patient during the process. He then measured each vent and suggested ways of cooling my upstairs rooms which can get very hot. Overall, he was amazing and I would recommend him without reservation to anyone. more
