I contacted Magnolia Plumbing Heating and Cooling to inspect and repair a mini-split AC system that wasn't cooling very well. Carlos showed up for the appointment on time, very quickly diagnosed what was happening, and fixed the issue. While he was finishing up the paperwork I could already feel the house getting cooler. I recently had my first experience with this company when I needed an exterior drain pipe unclogged. Prior to the plumber's arrival, I provided the company with a detailed overview of what had been dropped in the pipe and the various methods I had unsuccessfully tried to unclog the pipe prior to calling the professionals. Magnolia arrived on-time and explained that there was a minimum charge for coming out to provide an estimate then an additional charge to complete the work. I was aware of the minimum charge and was happy to pay the pros to unclog my drain. The person they sent out provided me a quote of $327.00 to unclog the pipe. I agreed to this amount with the understanding that there was no guarantee that he would be successful. After spending less than 10 min looking at the drain pipe, the worker explained that he was "more of a technician" and that "a professional plumber would have to come out to address the problem." He then preceded to demand I pay the $327.00 for his time and agree to be charged additional fees for the "pro" to come later in the day and resolve my clogged drain. When I originally called Magnolia Plumbing I expected a professional plumber to come to my home and work on resolving my plumbing problems. Instead Magnolia Plumbing sends a tech to charge as much as possible prior to sending the actual plumber. My advice is to call another company that will work to resolve your plumbing issues, not work to run up the costs of service. more

Anil was well above and beyond extraordinarily helpful last week. Our old water heater konked out - piece of trash, and more or less he couldn't find parts for it anywhere. He called warehouses, commercial stores, nothing. And I know this took a while, when he could've been doing other jobs. He eventually did locate the part, but unfortunately the heater didn't work - it was a piece of junk that isn't even made anymore. Realizing the urgency, he located a new water heater immediately, and came back the very next day to install it. Not only install it, but bring the rest of the set-up in the basement to code, which it previously wasn't (thanks Roto Rooter, will never call you again). Anyhow, he did a great job, quickly, and putting up with a lot of questions from me. He was awesome - would recommend him to anyone wanting high quality service, and will certainly call him again if I need any of these services (hopefully not for awhile!). Thanks Anil! more

I had a problem with my bathroom faucets leaking water into the tub and behind the cold water faucet onto the rim of the tub and then to the floor. Marvin did a superb job of dealing with the situation by first explaining to me what was happening, why it was happening and how it could be corrected. Because the house is 70 years old, he had to find a supplier who carried replacements for older homes, after which he came back and did the installation. He also had to do some, trimming and adjusting to make things fit, and tested it all out before he left. He was highly professional but also friendly and personable. I could not have asked for a better encounter. I am glad I chose Magnolia, which did plumbing for me years ago in D.C. in the Brookland area. Dorothy Scoty more
