We live in an older home (built approximately 1942). The original owner had a sump system installed to deal with ground water in 1982 which was two years before we purchased the home. In July we found ponding water in one area of the basement floor and learned that the original terracotta pipes were collapsing under the foundation. This required major work, opening the floor to expose the sump trench all the way around the perimeter of the basement and installing new technology pipe. Humberto H. from Magnolia, and his apprentice Joe, did a masterful job of managing this job. They took great pains to keep the dust in check, only using the jackhammer when absolutely necessary. Humberto also met with us daily to give us a status report. We were dreading getting this work done but Humberto and his crew did great work and made the whole experience quite tolerable.
