We hired AVL Moving out of Santa Clara as their rate was very reasonable. They did a full pack for us, we did not have to do a thing. This is the worst company ever! Do not use them! They are unprofessional and do not trust them when they say they will assemble furniture or that packing materials are included. Four men will move you and but you will have to drive one mover because they will not be able to ride in the back of the truck once it is full. Then they will demand cash when you arrive at your new house and stop work until you pay them. This was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had and believe me when I say DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

First I would like to say that I would use AVL Moving Systems ,our movers again and I would and will recommend them to other people moving. Our only reservation was with the amount of time that elapsed from the time of pick-up to the delivery. The distance from Hartford to Boise was only 2,500 miles and we made the trip in our car in only 9 days and it took them 12 days to deliver which we found a little excessive considering the weight of our shipment was 18,000 lbs. Maybe it's a little ob-surd to think the delivery should have arrived faster than we did because these guys would drive but we had hoped it would be a week or 8 or even 9 days. Besides that, the move was perfect and the driver Tim was a complete gentleman and true professional. We were extremely happy about this safe move wit AVL!! more

AVL Moving Systems has saved us a ton of money and headaches by helping move us out after being stuck by another company last minute. First we booked with a terrible moving company based out of California who after researching them after they failed to meet our pick up 3 times in a row, we found they were notorious for not showing up for pick-ups, ripping customers off and holding their items hostage! We had to be out of our home and were supposed to be picked up on the 26th or 27th the other company never called or communicated with us or returned any calls that we made to them, finally someone answered the phone and said it would be the 28th and nobody called or showed up on the 28th. We contacted AVL Moving on the 28th in the afternoon and spoke with one of the guys Eric and we told him we had to absolutely be out of our home by the 30th and if they couldn't help us then don't even bother. He said he could definitely have us picked up on the 29th or 30th for sure. we went ahead and placed our reservation with AVL and they assured us we would have a call from a driver at some point either that afternoon or the following day. A driver called us late on the 28th and said he was roughly 700 miles away and had to stop for the night shortly but would head toward us and be at our house around 5 or 6 the next day and he could start working if we allowed it if it wasn't too late.He called again in the morning and said he was making good time,at 7:20 driver showed up and did a real killer job. Although he was tired from driving and working it didn't show at all. He was incredibly pro during the entire packing and loading and his helper Steve was very quiet but polite and very fast.We are so grateful that AVL Moving Systems did exactly what they promised and although we haven't received our property yet, we are sure it will be fine and we know that we are in good hands. These movers are really awesome and we saved a lot of money and stress by finally choosing them, I just wish we chose them in the first place. more

I'll say it again, thank you, thank you, thank you. AVL Moving Systems moved me at the last minute after being left by my first moving company choice.My fiance called everyone on Saturday for a Saturday or Sunday pick up and nobody could help out on such short notice.The guys at AVL Moving answered their phones and set us up for a Sunday morning pick up and had their driver Craig pick our stuff up in Newark Sunday morning and he will be delivering our stuff sometime this week and he was great. i will update this review once we get delivered but I have no doubt it will be positive cause my pick up was perfect. more

I found AVL Moving Systems on the Google search under the cross country movers and had not only the best move but the most affordable move.My wife being a pharmaceutical rep had a choice of states to move to and chose Montana as our "final" destination in September.Her company was paying for our relocation up to $7,500.00 would be reimbursed to us after the move was completed. We had 3 companies come to our home in Alabama to do walk through visual in home estimates.They all seemed very professional and quoted us on the same weight give or take a few pounds. All of them were in excess of $8,000.00 the highest being $9,150.00 from Other Van Lines which was not too bad considering we figured we would have to come out of pocket for some of the move because we were moving out of a full 3 bedroom home and wanted the movers to do 95% of the packing.A colleague of mine had used movers before on this website and told me about it and the moving company that he had used we could not find so we called a few from this website and had a few over the phone estimates and really liked the quote and conversation that we had with Eric concerning our move.He mapped out everything for us and when all was said and done, the quote was almost $2,000.00 LESS than the in home estimates. After many days of thinking and talking about it we decided to schedule our move with AVL Moving and had our date set and signed our contracts and with the exception of a few minor bumps along the way the move turned out to be excellent. Our price wound up being less than quoted, only by $200.00 or so but its better than being higher and the guys were very upbeat and professional throughout.If you are looking for an honest and professional company, we would suggest trying AVL Moving Systems. This was my first long distance move and I was called by and emailed by close to 30 or 40 companies. After going over 4 inventory lists I agreed that all of my quotes would be on the same weight from that point on. I replied to every moving company that the weight would be 4,000 pounds worth of items and to include the estimated delivery time frame and any extra costs that may be incurred there was only 2 YES 2 companies that even took the time to read what I emailed them and one was AVL Moving Systems and so it was between them and another national moving company for my bid. AVL Moving Systems was my choice because they were up front about a lot of things that was never brought to my attention from the other companies with the exception of 1 or 2 others such as what I should do about my painting and mirrors and they also explained so much more than anyone else that is why I decided on them even though their quote was several hundred dollars more I just felt very comfortable with them and that is really the main reason I went with them. The actual movers showed up on my second pick-up day and started early enough that they had me out of my townhouse before the evening because pick-ups and deliveries can only be done between 8am and 6pm so that worked out well and then my weight was slightly less than my estimate and that deducted 20 for every pound i was less which wasn't much but better than costing more and the only thing that I can say was disappointing was that it took 6 days to deliver and I was hoping for 2 or 3 considering it only took me 2 days to driver but past that everything was great and if I was asked whether or not I would use them again, the answer is definitely without hesitation. I am very happy with my choice and really fell I was well taken care of and in great hands. more
