This was my first long distance move and I was called by and emailed by close to 30 or 40 companies. After going over 4 inventory lists I agreed that all of my quotes would be on the same weight from that point on. I replied to every moving company that the weight would be 4,000 pounds worth of items and to include the estimated delivery time frame and any extra costs that may be incurred there was only 2 YES 2 companies that even took the time to read what I emailed them and one was AVL Moving Systems and so it was between them and another national moving company for my bid. AVL Moving Systems was my choice because they were up front about a lot of things that was never brought to my attention from the other companies with the exception of 1 or 2 others such as what I should do about my painting and mirrors and they also explained so much more than anyone else that is why I decided on them even though their quote was several hundred dollars more I just felt very comfortable with them and that is really the main reason I went with them. The actual movers showed up on my second pick-up day and started early enough that they had me out of my townhouse before the evening because pick-ups and deliveries can only be done between 8am and 6pm so that worked out well and then my weight was slightly less than my estimate and that deducted 20 for every pound i was less which wasn't much but better than costing more and the only thing that I can say was disappointing was that it took 6 days to deliver and I was hoping for 2 or 3 considering it only took me 2 days to driver but past that everything was great and if I was asked whether or not I would use them again, the answer is definitely without hesitation. I am very happy with my choice and really fell I was well taken care of and in great hands.
