We were skeptical in the beginning because Dona, the person who picked up the phone was awesome, very sweet to talk to and very professional. It got us wondering whether they hired a professional person to attend the phone at front desk. We even asked her if the movers knew English, She smiled and said, yes, they do. Movers came on time and were very very friendly and helpful. They did an awesome job moving most of the stuff in 3 hours which is our minimum. Another thought I had in mind is they can delay as much as they want so they can paid more but movers had no intentions of that, they did the job quickly and neatly and worked hard to fit our Couch which was resisting going upstairs. more

The 3 guys from AVL arrived 15 mins early to take a look at the apartment, prepare an estimate, prepare an inventory of my furniture and boxes, and write up all the paperwork. They explained every detail and were extremely professional and respectful of me and my crap; always calling me Mr. or Sir. (While I don't expect people to do that and would rather they call me by my first name it's better than "HEY" like those hungry students). The day of my move happened to be a street sweeping day,they didn't mind, and repeatedly moved the truck without a fuss.Even though 1 of the 3 guys remained down at the truck the whole time, they had my entire apartment loaded onto the truck in 45mins and unloaded at my new home in 35mins.At each point when the clock was stopped and started or during double time for driving I was asked for the time; there was no way for them to cheat me on the length of time...it would be impossible to add an additional 15mins here or there because I was giving them the time throughout the trip. I knew exactly what they were charging me and it was accurate.AVL has a 3-hour minimum which was all I had to pay; they moved me in less than 3 hours.None of the furniture was damaged and every article found its way over to my new home.This was the best move I ever had.Thanks to this company AVL Moving Systems. more

The reason I hired this company was because of the great reviews!I've moved many times in my life, and I can vouch that these guys are the real deal.AVL Moving Systems are really the best !! I went to their website and got an Internet quote. I communicated via email mostly and always got a quick response.I called the office before the move and had additional questions answered.I moved from a large 2 bedroom apartment of one of those large,super-modern,high maintenance apartment complexes in South Beach and they were as anal as they come.They required insurance coverage, workers comp, CA licensed, tons of paperwork, and rules and regulations. All that was more exhausting then the move itself. But the office provided all the necessary goods.They were very nice and accommodating when I had to change my move date a few times because of delays in my escrow.My reservation for the elevator was scheduled at 11:00am - 2:00pm. Well, they called a little before 10:45 saying they were in the loading dock. Ahhh!They quickly disassembled my bed and other furniture, wrapped my furniture in blankets and tape and started loading the elevator and truck at 11am,as I was furiously packing the final 4-5 boxes.They wrapped up everything professionally, moved heavy items quickly and safely and were very courteous. The one guy even apologized profusely for having to use my bathroom. I was like, "Dude, I don't live here anymore!" We were out of my old place by 2:00pm! Everything got to my new place safe and sounds a smooth sail... High Five for the AVL Guys!!! more

This is my first review of any company, but these guys were so good, I thought they really deserve my applause. They made what could have been a horrible situation almost fun. We were dismantling our family home and the furnishings were to be divided between me and my three "Greedy Sisters" and one Brother.We had decided before moving day that was to get what and where it was going. more

Can you give more than 5 stars? I kind of wish you could after this. I gotta tell ya i was totally freaked out about hiring and working with movers for the first time. will they be slow? Will they break stuff? Is the estimate even kind of close? I sent them a pretty detailed list of what they would be moving and was given a quote of 3 hours. They took great care with my special pieces including a large aquarium and a huge hey wood wake field buffet/hutch. Nothing was damaged. They were insanely fast! They showed up 20 minutes early and were finished in an hour and 40 minutes. That included putting each box and piece of furniture exactly where I wanted and unpacking my garment boxes (provided for free). I was amazed by these guys. And they were CHEAP almost half the price of any other movers I got quotes from.The experience left me feeling like anyone who asks that great group of drunks they hang out with at the bar to help them move when they could hire these guys is a flipping idiot! We just moved this weekend and this was our first time using a moving company. A friend of mine recommended them, and thank goodness she did. I called a few other places to get the low-down on costs and such, and one other place actually answered the phone, but they were such a hard sell (and didn't pay attention to the details during our conversation) that I decided not to bother with them. They were very straight-forward, and they did not do the hard sell at all. In the end, they ended up being cheaper than the other places (that all said they were the cheapest), and the service was phenomenal. At precisely the agreed-upon time, two big guys showed up, one who looked like he might be a bass player in a rock band on the weekends (but for you rock-band-phobic folks, he was totally professional and polite), and the other like he might be a beach bum on the weekends (also very professional and polite). They worked fast, and considering that they had two flights of stairs to work with, I was VERY impressed. They treated my more delicate things with gentleness and care, and were very patient with me during the whole process, which I imagine could be hard to do when it's hot outside, and your lugging someone else's stuff up and down stairs all day. When they unloaded my stuff into the apartment, they didn't just drop it all in one spot, they took care to deliver the boxes and furniture to their appropriate rooms and they even helped me set up the bed again. These guys were magnificent and I HIGHLY recommend their services to anyone in this area needing moving assistance. In all, a 4.5 hr day (with a 45-min drive) came out to just under $591.None but the movers from AVL Moving Systems more

I called AVL Moving Systems when I was looking for a small move to be made to my new home according to new job I am starting to work at. AVL took all my info and assured me they would be able to help out. They were very friendly (and funny) and helpful. They gave me a price quote and explained what I should ask about if I was going to shop around.I explained that the date wasn't definite because we were waiting on a certificate of occupancy.They told me not to worry that they would work it out if I had to switch dates. I was going to shop your price but AVL was so accommodating and helpful I decided just to go with your company.I inevitably had to cancel my date and put my move on hold. When I was ready they quickly rescheduled the move.On Sunday, the movers came on time, were extremely courteous and hard working. They worked hard not to damage any walls or floors and were respectful of our things. They were happy to take anything I needed to take last minute and kept telling me they had plenty of space in the truck if I had anything else. I was very pleased with the way I was treated and the whole job. more

Courteous, efficient and professional are a few words that come to mind when I think of AVL Moving Systems. We recently sold our home and had to put most of our possessions in storage. Promptly and without deliberation, AVL moved the contents of our home into a storage facility. I was impressed with the precision, organization and carefulness they exhibited during the lengthy process. they choreographed the move so beautifully and did not mar a single wall. Our move with AVL Moving Systems was too good.Their driver Tim was not only friendly and professional, but laid down all sorts of materials in order to protect our floors, walls, and staircase. The move couldn't have gone better regardless of whom we used. Pricing was competitive with the other moving companies and the delivery time was quick at 3 days. Nothing was broken or scratched. Everything had stickers that corresponded with the inventory list and we have not one complaint about their company, only praises.They are truely the best movers in California. more

When we were searching for a mover our biggest fear was being ripped off and being held hostage until we paid some ungodly amount of money. So needless to say we did our research for a month until we came up with AVL Moving Systems as our choice to move us from San Luis Obisbo to Dayton . Our quoted price was $3,500 and based on the estimate they would deduct money if we were less weight and add money if we weighed more. We were also told about packing and what to pack and we did all that to not be charged any extra and wound up owing a little less but its still better than owing a little more. Ely was our driver and even though he had a fairly thick accent he was easy enough to understand and very friendly. Anyway, delivery was great and after all is said and done, we are unloaded and unpacked and very happy with AVL Moving Systems and are also happy to write this review . This was our 5th move in 10 years and was by far the easiest and most professional of all of them. Our consultant Eric was very professional and guided us through the entire process and showed us how to check out other movers that were quoting us and opened up our eyes and apparently from making a huge mistake by choosing another company. The movers themselves were awesome and really showed they cared about customers by the way they prepped our furniture and items and also by asking us if we wanted to follow them to the weighing station to view our truck weight. We declined and they told us that we were actually 600 lbs. less than quoted and that our price was less. It was only $120.00 less but it was less which was far better than owing more. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a great moving company and when we move again we will be using AVL Moving Systems. more

After searching literally dozens of moving companies,brokers and even do-it-yourself options such as u-pack and pods we narrowed our options down to two other options and really chose AVL Moving Systems based on their price being almost a thousand dollars less than other companies.They were professional and really a polite bunch of gentleman that took every step to ensure that this relocation was great. I know that most people don't take the time to post a review, especially a favorable one, I on the other hand was asked by both Jeremiah and Josh that if I had the time to please post a review based on my experience with their firm. After reading through literally hundreds of reviews and BBB categories for many companies, I chose AVL Moving Systems based not on all of the reviews, but on the communication and the way they handled my calls, questions, emails and any concerns I had during the "courting" stage. Jeremiah was honest and lead me through every possible charge I could have, he informed me of best and worst case scenarios as far as delivery went and put me at ease with the entire process. I can't speak for everyone that AVL Moving relocates, but I can speak for myself and with me, they did an outstanding move, gave me a very competitive price and I would very much recommend this company. I don't know about other movers, but AVL Moving Systems did a hell of a job relocating my 3 bedroom's furniture to New York! AVL gave me the best rate out of other competitors which was the primary reason they were chosen. The staff is very professional and a pleasure to have conversation with. And MOST importantly the furniture was transported safely and quickly in 2.5 weeks! Icollected 2 moving quotes from this site. Both moving companies were good enough to arrange for a problem free move but I selected the moving company depending on their years of experience. The movers were really pleasant to work with. They picked us up as they were supposed to and also delivered on time. There was no major problems faced during the move. We will use AVL Moving Systems for our future move as well. more

AVL Moving Systems is amazing, that's all I can say. They helped me out when I was freaking about my new condo's no weekend/holiday policy when other movers were trying to charge me an arm and a leg. The move was totally fast...an hour to load (and that's including the massive game of tetris they had to play getting all my crap in a teeny tiny truck), and 1.5 to unload including elevator time! They also didn't break or scratch anything, which is a definite bonus. On top of all that, they were really fun to have around. So yeah, hire these guys! more

Yep, one more five star review to the list. These guys were so polite, so prompt and so fast! Lightning fast! They called to let me know when they were on their way, called to let me know they'd be 10 minutes late because of traffic and showed up exactly when they said they would. Three guys showed up and they weren't your typical movers. Three skinny guys and I was a little worried. I almost asked if they were the advanced team and their fathers were on their way to do the actual move. But dang if they weren't super strong, organized and fast. I can't emphasize enough how fast they were! Literally running with boxes (nothing that was fragile, of course). I was quoted between 3 and 4 hours and in three and a half hours they were done. $350 well spent. Don't forget to tip them!! more

Wow, these guys were amazing. I had one week to find movers and the receptionist Angie was very helpful. She even requested to move up the time by half an hour (from 7:30am to 7am) since she wanted to make sure the guys had enough time to load my stuff before their next appointment at 11am. Friday, 7am - these guys all showed up right on-time. Awesome. They were very organized and after seeing all the stuff in the garage and condo, they went straight to work. They had one guy directing and the other 3 guys were running up and down the stairs. They were so polite...saying "excuse me" when they needed to get around us. I expected the loading to take 3.5 hours...but they were done in 2.5 hours. I was DEFINITELY IMPRESSED. It's great to find guys that have a solid work ethic. All the other movers that I researched had horrible reviews on yelp -- i.e. they dragged their feet and took much longer than the estimates. We did get compliments on our packing and wrapping with furniture pads from the guys. Said it made their lives a lot easier. 4 guys at $120/hr....well worth it! It's too bad that I moved out-of-the-state because I would love to use them again when I have to move! more

These guys AVL Moving Systems almost make me want to move again, just so I can hire them again. Absolutely impeccable service - they called just before arriving, were on time, explained rates & policies clearly & quickly, and were loading up the truck in no time! They packed the truck like a tetris board - no wasted space anywhere, and nearly everything we owned fit (they had previously warned us it might not based on the sheer volume). The entire move, including drive time took less than 2 hours - no breaks, no standing around, nothing like previous movers I've used - they really do run up & down stairs. While carrying 2 50-lb boxes of books at a time. They also moved a giant love-seat that was already at the new place into a different room & offered to help with any other labor/rearranging while they were there. (I rather wish now that I had taken them up on that offer.) They were done faster than estimated, adjusted the very reasonable rates accordingly, and went on their way. I hate moving with a passion, and was running on about 2 hours of sleep and dealing with other stressors that morning - these guys (Tommy, Ben, and Tristan) made the day so much more pleasant. My first time was amazing. I know it doesn't happen very often, but - man!!!! - these guys are damn good! AVL Moving Systems were my movers. Ok, I am silly (as my sweetie would surely say) but had always taken matters in my own hands. And arms 23 times in my life (well, except for the first time when I was a toddler, but I expect I did take care of my very own bottle and plastic giraffe). I guess you can say that I have quite a bit of experience. I definitely know how to pack, wrap, fill boxes, tape and use a marker. I carried my load of planks, lamps, chairs, tables, plastic carriers, bed frames and collection of wigs. I knew that this time, THIS TIME, I was definitely not up for it.
