Great Service 1/13/2011

We have used Applewood several times for our furnace, electrical, and plumbing. Every technician has been on time and friendly and the customer service is fantastic! The price is usually fair though can sometimes seem high, especially when the repair doesn't take very long, but there is never a feeling of being ripped off when you know exactly what it's going to cost before the job is started, no matter what is involved in the actual repair. more

On Jan. 8th at the start of the latest snow storm our furnace quit working, it's 6 years old. I waited until Mon. to call for service because it's a weekend and snowing. From the very get-go Applewood's contacts were very courteous and professional, I was given a time of arrival but a call back later moved the appointment up by 2 hours. The Service Tech. (Bryan) arrived on time and got to work and assesed the problem quickly, knowledge and experience were evident. The cost for repair was very appropiate and fair. When the need arises I will use them again and will highly recomend them to everyone. Customer Service is Outstanding. \r more

Greg was right on time and assessed the problem in a matter of minutes. Very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Installed a new blower motor in my furnace on a snowy Sunday morning for no extra charge. Thank you Greg. more

We enjoy our two new recently installed bathroom faucets that no longer drip, they are both attractive and easy to use. Came on time and very knowledgable, BUT... the price to replace an inducter fan on my furance, a $150 item and 15 minute job cost $1000. \r \r THAT IS WAY OVER PRICED...\r \r more

Applewood Plumbing seems tom be a great business. We have only used them once, but they were super prompt and came much earlier than we'd expected to get a plumber, espeically since it wa a holiday. The plumber who came was knowledgeable and very proficient, and very polite as well. It seems like they not only do at least as good a job as other good blumbers in town, they really try hard to keep their customers' business. more

What scammer they are. Almost Criminal. 12/30/2010

I had called them because my furnace was not coming on. The technician diagnosed it as the Air Pressure Switch, and quoted me $439 to replace it. I'm glad I did my research, as the part cost me $28, and I replaced it myself in TWENTY minutes. I can understand overcharging. But $439 for a $25 part that a service tech could change in 10 mins. He also said my heat sensor was corroded and needed to be replaced for $300. It was fine, and I just cleaned it with an emery cloth. ***** BEWARE Applewood. They will rip you off! **** more

Applewood Heating & Plumbing one of the best 12/30/2010

We woke up Christmas morning with NO HEAT. I called several heating companys and got voice recordings. When I called Applewood, they actually answered the phone. I described our problem, and they were willing to send out a technician on Christmas Day for a premium charge (understandable). They advised me that they could send someone out on Sunday morning (Dec. 26th) at no premium. They even waived the service call fee since I was willing to wait. The tech arrived promptly at 9AM the next day, and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in 45 minutes. The tech was very professional and personable.\r I have dealt with quite a few ""service"" companies over the years, and I would rate Applewood Heating & Plumbing as one of the very best. more

SAFE, PROFESSIONAL, AND THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE 12/28/2010

Applewood Plumbing and Heating is hands down one of the most professional companies out there. Bottom line...if you have ever felt safe having your wife at home alone when a service company comes to your home for something, THIS IS THAT COMPANY! I was blown away when they offered to send a photo of the service guy's picture via email, prior to his arrival. That way you know who you are to expect, and what they look like. All their info is right there. No ""creepy"" surprises! That was just over the top for us! Also want to mention that we have two huge dogs in our house...obviously they track dirt and such in the house. The service guy totally insisted on putting boot covers on his shoes prior to coming into the house! Each and every time he came and went, the covers went off and on. CRAZY respect that they showed us! WILL USE THEM AGAIN! Highly recommend! Thank You!! more

Holiday Service With A Smile 12/28/2010

It was this Christmas Eve morning and the furnace was not staying on. I called Applewood and, yes, they had openings and agreed to send out a technician. They even offered to send me his credentials. When he arrived, he made the necessary repairs to assure we had heat for the rest of the holidays. Kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable associates and timely service. You couldn't ask for more. more

Applewood plumbing and heating fixed my porch light which had not worked for years. The company was so professional. They called and told me when Doug would be there, and gave me the option of having his picture and work record emailed to me. Doug was a 13 year veteran who was very skilled and very good at his job. I will use applewood again. more
