New Water Heater 12/20/2010

We got a new water heater from Applewood Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric. They were able to come right away which is what we needed most. They emailed a photo and brief description of the employee they sent to our house which was very nice and helpful. He was able to install a new water heater right away. We also got a pressure regulator which was needed. The prompt service was worth the price. more

Great, Reliable Service 12/20/2010

Applewood was incredibly professional, punctual and effective. They were able to schedule an appointment the same day on a Saturday and also called me before the scheduled time to offer an earlier appointment. The technician was helpful and solved more problems than I originally called about. Great work! more

Great Prompt Service 12/15/2010

Our furnace went out on Saturday while we were preparing for a holiday party. I called Applewood and Dave the service tech was prompt and professional. Our old furnace is on it's last legs and he explained everything in detail while he fixed the problem. Thanks to Applewood they fixed the furnace and the party was a success. I would recommend Applewood anytime to anybody. Great service! more

Applewood Plumbing is prompt. 12/14/2010

Got an appointment for the next day. They called at the time assigned and asked if I wanted to have an e-mail sent to me with a picture of the technician and his credentials. He looked at the drain pipe under the kitchen sink and promptly gave me an estimate of $177.00 to replace the pipes in the drain. He also pointed out that I needed to have all the pipes to and in my house replaced very soon and an estimate would be around $10,000. Thank you for your prompt service. more

Various Work...All Excellent! 12/13/2010

My wife and I were looking to do some renovation on our townhome to sell. While doing the renoviation we've had issues come up including recalled electrical panel, furnace and A/C cleaning and some plumbing issues. Applewood has been an excellent one stop shop to solving the problems. The technicians and courteous and very well knowledgeable about their subjects and they thought out of the box too in one case! I recommend them to anyone doing any electrical, plumbing or heating and A/C needed. more

Applewood Plumbing is Awesome 12/11/2010

I have used Applewood Plumbing and Heating to gain information and for service on our Heating and Air Conditioning. The technician Chris Anderson is awesome. Very professional, knowledgable, helpful and friendly. He installed a new air conditioning unit for us and has also serviced our furnace a couple of times. I will not hesitate to call Applewood for regular service or for middle of the night emergencies. I love that I can ask for the same service technician each time. I would recommend them to anyone! more

Applewood Plumbing gives me honest assesments 12/7/2010

I began using Applewood over a year ago and decided to join their membership program. The results have been phenominal and the savings, great! \r \r Part of the membership is an in-house assestment of your plumbing, heating and electrical systems. This saved me certain money as i had a leaking/eroded pipe that could have gone anyday. Plus, with membership you don't pay the standard rates. \r \r I will continue using Applewood in the future.\r \r Nick more

The booking , communication and repair experience were excellent--all extremely professional! The only surprise was what I actually had to pay to have a switch replaced; I really had no idea what it costs to hire an electrician nowadays!! I hope it's a loooooong time before I have to hire another one! more

In Need of Heat 12/7/2010

I was in need of a new heating ignitor for my forced air furnace. I called Appledwood at 8 AM on a Monday morning and by 11 AM i had technician at my home performing a diagnostic. Within an hour or so we were up an running with a new heating element, a cleaned up furnance and a new air filter (at no charge). \r \r Applewood was timely, efficient and provided diagnostic checklist of other things to consider about maintaining our furnace.\r \r I signed up for an annual service package and will have Applewood return in the spring to service our AC. more

They almost got me! 12/1/2010

I had Applewood come out a few times for some plumbing issues and they were always prompt and professional. I decided to spend the $198. for the contract in Dec. I got a call in March that I get a ""free"" furnace cleaning with my contract. Instead of cleaning my furnace they almost cleaned out my bank. I was told I needed a new furnace - which I will agree I do because of the age. But I was also told my furnace was leaking carbon monoxide and that it needed to be replaced immediately. This was a Tuesday and he could have it for me by Friday. Then the price: $5200 not including labor. I live in a 2 bedroom condo. And they even have financing available. Luckily I shopped around and will have the job done for thousands less by a good company. I'm mad about the price, but even madder that they used scare tactics to steal my money. more

Great customer service 11/29/2010

In the last year I have had to call Applewood for service on several issues: ice maker, clogged garbage disposal, air conditioner, water heater. Each time they have sent someone out quickly and they are always timely, pleasant, experienced and helpful. They give you full pricing before any work is done and call you after to make sure you were happy with the repairs. I would recommend Applewood to anyone! more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 11/26/2010

This company is a joke. We had an appointment ste for Wednesday between 4-6PM. They call us at about 2:00, after I had already made plans with work to leave, and they tell us they cannot make it. They would have to come out Friday instead. \r \r But here's the catch, we had to call Friday morning to make an appointment. So we call 1st thing in the morning and are forced to leave a message. 4 hours later and no phone call from them. We finally call back and they tell us we have to wait another day until they will come out. \r \r So we have had a possible gas leak since Wednesday and because of their failure to uphold their scheduled appointments I'm hoping my family doesn't die.\r \r CONTINUED::: So thie company just called me again and canceled a second time. They said because someone with children called in with no heat. OK, me and my kids have a possible gas leak. This company is the biggest joke I have ever seen. \r \r The Better Business Bureau is definitely getting a call from me. more

Great Customer Service and Affordable 11/15/2010

I would refer all of my friends and family to Applewood! The technician that came to service my heater was very knowledgeable about his work and took the time to explain all the issues to me before any work was done! I also was very impressed with the way that Applewood sent a technician out to my house on a late night last minute call. Happy Ending to an Almost Water Disaster 11/12/2010

The overall experience was fantastic! We had a guide put in our local newspaper entitled "Done Right Directory." We had good luck with other experiences for repairs so we saw Applewood and called. Our plumbing problem was serious and the master plumber (John Jones) made sure our finished basement would not get flooded. He had to dig a 6' hole to fix the problem. He worked day and night. He left the work areas clean. Our plumbing problem was fixed perfectly and was to code. more

Prompt. Reliable. Professional. Overpriced. 11/11/2010

The technician was prompt, professional and did the job. But the $143 minimum service fee was a little much, especially considering that the it was just a loose wire. They ""waived"" the $39 service charge, so I guess it could have been worse.. I think an adequate charge would have been $80. more
