We are the anxious owners of an ancient boiler type furnace and predictably during this last cold snap it not only acted up, it shut down. Due some reliable plunbing work we had received from Applewood a while back, we called them. The technician, Chris Fannon, was knowledgeable and confident. He fixed the problem (supported by a warranty) and provided tips. We were satisfied by the work and impressed by Chris' courtesy and competency. Thank you, Applewood. more

When my toilet backed up, I didn't know who to call. I found Applewood Plumbing in the telephone book. I'm so glad I tried them! The lady on the other side of the phone was pleasant and accurately took down all my information. Mike, the service technician, arrived on time and was very courteous. He even put on booties over his shoes before he entered my house. He did the job quickly and thoroughly. He showed me up front what the price would be. When I first made the phone call regarding my furnace not warming the house but still running, the very friendly voice on the other end of the line assured me that there could be someone out there first thing in the morning. I had called late the night before. They worked around my schedule, keeping me informed on their ETA. Right on time. The Technician was absolutely wonderful. Explained what the issue was in ""normal"" words, fixed the problem, explaining what he was doing the whole time. In no time at all, he was done and not only did I have a smile on my face, but he did too knowing he did a fabulous job! Thank you so much!! Customer service DOES still exist! more

I was very pleased with the service and results and I obtained from Appelwood Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, & Electric. I had been referred to them by a friend and scheduled them for a minor plumbing repair for our master bathroom shower, and they communicated with me quite well from the get-go. I had scheduled an appointment and got a window of time that they would show up to take a look at my issue, and was called the night before to confirm the appointment time window. On the day of the appointment, I was called again and notified when within the window of time the technician would arrive at my house, and he arrived atthat time promptly. The technician diagnosed my issue, clealy communicated the various options for addressing the issue, as well as the different prices for each, quickly fixed the problem, and then did a great job cleaning up after himself. The technician showed me the worn parts that he had then replaced, explaining why I had the issue that I did. Througout the experience the technician communicated facts clearly so that I could make an unpressured decision. The technician was very courteous as well. I was impressed with the communication and service that I received from Applewood and I would refer friends and family to them in a heartbeat. more

The job was done right but we think that Applewood is very expensive, more expensive than we thought they would be to replace washers in the tub and a new facuet in the sink in the main bathroom, yes, the faucets were 31 years old but still too expensive, more

DOES ANYONE FIND IT ODD THAT ONCE APPLEWOOD GET A BAD REVIEW THEY MAKE UP 10 FAKE ONES TO COVER UP THE BAD ONE??\r \r LOOK AT EVER OTHER PLUMBING COMPANY ONLINE NO ONE EVEN HAS HALF AS MANY PUBLISHED REVIEWS AS THEM..\r \r Applewood Plumbing & Heating & Electric is obviously making up all the fake ""good comments"" my mom used them and they tried to charge her $600 to clean out a drain! Thankfully she found an honest plumber (Not Applewood Plumbing) who came and charged her only $110 dollars for the same exact job! I can understand being a little higher but $600 from $110!!!\r \r Applewood Plumbing Heating & Cooling also gave her a quote for a new water heater that estimate was over three thousand five hundred dollars!! (no thats not typo) The other company that did the drain cleaning for $110 said every plumber in town knows Applewood plumbing and heating is the biggest rip offs in town. Applewood plumbing pays to have there bad reviews covered up and ad all the good comments..\r \r Stay away from these guys!!! more

I have not had anything major take place in my home yet, but I have had Applewood do yearly checks on everything in my home. They are alwasy on time, professional and answer all of my questions. The best part about them is they will send you a picture of the tech who is coming to your house so you know he who he says he is. This is important when you are at home with small chilrdren. I think the phrase I am looking for is ""con artists"". \r My mother had her water heater give out in her condo this past weekend, and she called Applewood (big pretty ad, BBB, Martino network, etc...). They (a plumber and an electrician) came out the next day and told her the following:\r 1) She had to change the water heater from a gas unit to an electrical unit because ""they do not make that type of water heater anymore""\r 2) Because of the electric heater being required, the current electric panel would need to be completely replaced (no room for the additional circuits).\r 3) Total estimated cost: $12,000. ($6000 for the water heater and $6000 for the electrical panel upgrade).\r Luckily, she called me and spoke to the contractor who was at my home doing our remodel. He told me to get those guys out of her home and he would refer us to a master plumber (35+ years in the business, all in Colorado). The new plumber came out to my mom's house immediately and this is what he told us:\r 1) the water heater was an in-stock item at Home Depot\r 2) there was no need to upgrade the electrical panel\r 3) and even though the water heater was in a crawl space and very labor intensive getting the new heater into place, the total cost came out to under $3000, even with this being done on a Sunday.\r This company is apparantly known in the world of contractors as a bunch of crooks, and I can attest to that. They completely tried to take advantage of my mother and I want the whole world to know the truth about Applewood. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!\r more

We have been Applewood customers for years, ever since we had to call them for a weekend emergency. We have since had them replace our funace, replace plumbing fixtures, and perform a number of other household projects for us. Most recently, they installed a light fixture quickly, cheaply, and professionally. In this case, it was a holiday surprise for my husband, so they also had to help me keep my secret. For any household plumbing and heating project, I will always call Applewood first. more

This was my second experiennce using Applewood, and not only was the service timely booked, but the service technicians were very well informed, the booking agent was very hospitable, and the service was completed and I have not had a problem since the repairs were done. I just used Applewood P & H 3 weeks ago to replace my furnance and was very impressed then with their work, and yesterday my hot water heater blew, and I called Applewood P & H without hesitation to come and install a new hot water heater. Mike C. the plumber showed up less than one hour from my call and we discussed the alternatives I had, since I had two hot water heaters. Mike made a positive first imprssion and displayed a professional style during the entire time he was here working on the heater installation. I also like the 100% unconditional product guarantee. I've used Applewood twice now. Once, when I had a water leak on a valve and had to turn off all my water. This happened on a Friday night and within minutes of leaving them a message, I got a call back (9:30 pm) with a next morning early appointment. My second experience was with my furnace on of course the first cold day of the year. It was a no-brainer who to call. Applewood the rescue again. Service from the receptionist to the technicians has been friendly, professional, and informative. My heat went out on not only the coldest day of the year but on New Years day (which was also a weekend) Applewood arrived right on time, fixed the problem for the amount quoted and they were friendly and professional. Hopefulluy we wont need anyone again soon, but if we do, I am calling Applewood! more

jason the technician they sent was extrenely knowledgable and informative when he came to fix my furnace. he showed me the in's and out's of my furnace. He took the time to show me all the little problems that lead to the failure of the furnace. This particular technician showed me what to watch for maintenence wise and took the time to set up the furnace properly, unlike the people before him (A different company). The furnace now works and heats the house like it never has before! I can't say enough about his proffesionalism and knowledge, he went way above and beyound the call of duty. The final price to do all this work was less than the competitors show up price. I hope applewood P&H keeps him employed, cause if I ever have to call them again I will be specifically asking them to send him out! He provides service like service should be! I couldn't have been happier with him! He sets the bar high for heating and a/c technicians, everyone in the future will be compared to him. more
