Fast Friendly Service 3/27/2011

These guys always are pleasant, on time, and get the job done. They call ahead to tell you the plumber is on the way and then check again to make sure the service was done right. I will use these guys again. more

Terrific Service! 3/24/2011

When my grandson clogged the toilet with my palette knife, Applewood was there the same day. The technician, Chris, was courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. I have dealt with Applewood over the years and always had friendly and professional service from them, and highly recommend this company. more

Very knowledgable 3/24/2011

My first experience with Applewood was with our furnace, which quit working. One company wanted to replace something that was pretty expensive. The furnace, of course, started working. I called Applewood to check out the firnace and was told that I didn't need the previously recommended parts. The technician made a small adjustment and cleaned the furnace. It is still running fine. The technician also sold me the Gold \r Service Club membership, which I have had to use twice since then.\r My last occasion to use Applewood was to replace an old water heater. I called first for an estimate. The technician gave me a fair and complete estimate including code upgrades that others did not. The Applewood technician showed up right on time, replaced the water heater in a timely fashion and cleaned up after himself.\r I will use Applewood Plumbing, Heating and Electrical again. more

The Company for You if Money's No Object 3/20/2011

Very courteous and pleasant on the phone. My furnace had simply stopped working one day. A neighbor recommended Applewood and said that they were reasonable. I know next to nothing about heating systems and the serviceman who came suggested that I purchase an Applewood membership, He said that it looked to him as if my furnace needed a cleaning and that that would solve the problem. He said it would cost me less to purchase the service membership than it would to clean the furnace. He continued to extol the benefits of the contract so I joined. It took him less than about 15 minutes to do whatever it was that he did and I had heat again. The cost of the membership contract was $199.95. That's a lot of money for a quarter of an hour since I'm not likely to have to use them again during the year. He also suggested that I install a humidifying system in the house and gave me an estimate in excess of $1500 for the job. The following day I called a few places and found out that a cleaning is typically $150 and the installation of a high end 12 gallon steam humidifying system installed is typically less than $1200. Great service! 3/18/2011

I was very pleased with the service I received. The technician arrived early to fix my furnace. He was professional and explained the problem very clearly. This was on a Saturday morning and I had no problem getting through on the phone. The phone operators were excellent! It took a couple of hours to get fixed and a part was ordered and delivered while the technician was there. My furnace was up and running! more

Adolph arrived a couple of hours early. Thank God. I had a partially flooded basement due to my 18 year old hot water heater.\r \r Adolph was very courteous and helped me turn off the water source. My options were clearly given and my problem was taken care of within a couple of hours.\r \r The late evening service was truly appreciated.\r more

Prompt, Professional, and Courteous 3/17/2011

Needed a toilet repair. Called Applewood, and they had a repairman (Lance) arrive at my home within 2 hours. Lance was courteous, and professional, and completed the job in a timely manner. Price seemed a bit high (fixed rate pricing, not hourly pricing), but can be offset by coupons in the Plumbing section of the Dex Yellow pages. Only annoyance.....repairman tries to cross-sell you on all sorts of other services and repairs. Other than that, a good experience with Applewood. more

Applewood comes through in a hurry! 3/16/2011

My toilet was spewing water all over the place and after turning the water off, I couldn't get the parts out. I called Applewood from an ad in the local newsletter and they were out that afternoon. They did a great job. They gave me options for the repairs needed and I made the choice to join the Gold Service Club Membership. That gave me a discount on my service and a free service check yearly on either plumbing or heating. I expected to have to call and schedule the serve call, but Applewood called me and asked if I'd like to schedule the call. They were here in the time frame scheduled, called ahead to confirm, and called back to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Both reps were friendly and very helpful. more

Broken water heater 3/10/2011

I had a water heater break at 10:30pm. I went on to Applewood's website and requested they contact me early the next morning. I had an early phone call and a new water heater by 3:00p. The tech was prompt and knowledgeable. A bit pricey but worth the extra $ for service and professionalism. more

Very satisfied customer 3/9/2011

We had a short in a switchplate. Called Applewood and they sent an electrician out same day and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. Very professional, pleasant, explained the fix and all is well. I will surely call on them again next time there is a problem. more

Applewood sent a tech out on a Saturday to repair our gas fireplace in our new home. Chris was extremely professional and polite and answered all of my 2 year olds constant questions. He explained everything that needed to be done and had the fireplace running in no time. The prices are a bit high but the company offers several discounts and incentives for future service. I was very happy with the overall experience and will definately us Applewood for all of our plumbing and heating repairs. more

It's always an emergency 3/1/2011

Evertime I've called a plumber it's always been a ""need it NOW!"" situation. Applewood has always responded quickly, arrive when they say they will, and do the job they say they'll do. I don't know if they're more expensive than other plumbers or not, but I do know that they do what they say they'll do when they say they'll do it. And that's worth a lot....peace of mind is priceless, actually. There's another thing one always gets with Applewood: customer service. You can't even buy that from most people. more

Fair and dependable 2/23/2011

Wow, realtor/property manager here. A property I manage had a furnace quit working on Friday night just as i was sitting down to dinner. \r \r I called a plumber that I had used in the past. After he quoted me an absurd hourly rate, I got in touch with applewood. I received a time to meet them that was acceptable to myself and the tenant. \r \r I met the hvac guy out there. (marty) He did a great job explaining evertything to me and get the furnace going again. A little nervous when I am spending somebody elses money but it ultimately cost me about a fourth of what my normal hvac guy quoted me. \r \r Needless to say, I deleted my hvac guys number from my phone and added Applewood. It had a small town feel. more

Great and Fast Service 2/22/2011

Applewood Plumbing for me has been nothing but great service..I've had them out for 2 plumbing issues and just yesterday and issue with my heater..All 3 times they were at my house within an hour ..I live in an older home and Im sure that I will be calling them again..Thanks for getting my heater working Applewood. more
