I spoke with Applewood about a charge I felt was too high. I was charged $450 dollars for the repair of one broken wire and an hour of work. I called Anna in the hopes that she would come down on the price. I am a general contractor myself, and when we bid a job that turns out to be quick and easy, we do not hold the customer to our original price, we come down because that is what is fair. We know our clients work hard for their money and chose to spend it carefully and wisely. I am so utterly disappointed that Applewood would not negotiate with me. I wasn't asking for anything crazy, just to come down to a price I felt was more fair. I have been a customer of Aplewood for many years. I used Applewood for my clients, I recommended Applewood to friends and family. I hope that a few hundred dollars was worth the cost of losing me as a customer. Because of this experience, I'll never use Applewood again. When customers ask me to recommend someone for heating, HVAC and electricians (and this is a daily occurrence), I will no longer say ""call Applewood"" - when people ask me who is the best, I'll no longer answer Applewood. Your work is great, your customer service is abysmal. Make a lot of money, fight for every dime in the moment and don't worry about your reputation or making long-term customers. Don't bend, and have a great life.\r
