Best

My experience over all was great.

Worst

The prices are reasonable but the service is less than good. I purchased a vehicle from them in November 2011. As far as certified pre owned I would have another company check out...

Dream Came True! 5/3/2012

I purchased my dream car, a white BMW Z4 from Texas Direct Auto. I found them thru eBay. Marcus Guilbeau was my personal rep. and he made it easy. When there was a glitch, he was proactive in getting it resolved. A great experience and I would purchase from them again. DREAMS DO COME TRUE! more

Great Car Dealership 4/30/2012

.So very excited and happy with my purchase from Texas Direct Auto. I live in Virginia and was looking for a VW New Beetle. I was so fortunate to come across Texas Direct Auto. Everything was a snap, financing and paperwork. Fantastic and attentive salesman, Marcus Guilbeau, answered all my calls and questions immediately. Received my car on Sunday and was I ever surprised It looked even better than advertised. I will recommend this dealership to all of my co-workers, family and friends. What a great experience! Thanks so much. WIll be buying again from you, no doubt! more

A really good expeience Selling my car at Texas direct auto 4/29/2012

I went to the Texas direct auto- sugar land to sell my car. This was my first time selling my car. It was really successful. I had some offers and estimates from different dealers and online buyers but they were all very low and much lesser than the anticipated price. When I went to Texas direct auto, the staff were nice, smiling and helpful. I waited shortly until I was seen by the agent who inquired about car and took the key for inspection. I waited about 20-30 minutes, I received an offer that was higher than what $2000 higher than anticipated and I negotiated more and got the price increased by $800. I received the check in 1 hour and the provided me a taxi ride to my home. more

Worst. Dealer. Ever. 3/31/2012

Can I give 0 stars? I did not buy a car from them. Here is why: ""i see it but doesnt make any sense to be honest cause car is a ga car but yet is was in nc for a chort period of time. Ill look into it but auto check is more reliable then car fax and thats why ebay is a auto check store not a car fax."" This (above) is a direct quote from an email I received from ""Ray"" at TDA (Quoted... The spelling and grammar in subsequent emails is even WORSE) The car in question was listed on Ebay with NO accidents. I ran a CarFax (the industry standard) and it showed that the car had indeed been wrecked. ""Ray"" replied that CarFax was sub standard to Ebay's ""Auto Check"" and therefore I was WRONG in my assessment. Ray proceeded to tell me that I could either buy from him, or go elsewhere. I went elsewhere. I suggest you do the same. Run the Carfax on EVERY used car before you buy! more

TEXAS DIRECT IS ENTERING FAKE GOOD REVIEWS 3/17/2012

These guys are complete scumbags and crooks. Like Brian, I still dont have my title after months and am looking at expired temp tags. The car was delivered in the middle of the night so I was not able to note every detail. When i finally was able to inspect the car in the daylight I saw some damage. When I contacted them they were committed to talking their way out of the corner of liability. These guys take daysto return calls and are completely disorganized. it is truly a BOILER ROOM OPERATION that NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. CONTACT THE TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL TO FILE YOUR COMPLAINTS LIKE I AM. Also, send me a message of you have similar issues and want to get a class-action lawsuit started. more

Don't Buy From Texas Direct Auto 3/1/2012

here is the latest on my lost title. this was copied from the last of several emails trying to get a title to a corvette i bought 4 months ago from these clowns. Patrick, You are telling me once again the same story that I have been hearing from Texas Direct Auto employees for the past 3 months. Keep in mind that I bought this Corvette over 4 months ago. Do you seriously expect me to believe that your company has worked diligently for over 4 months to apply to obtain a lost title from the State of Texas for my car? My insurance card is attached per your request. Since I have repeatedly asked for another temporary license plate knowing mine was expiring on 3/3/12, why is this the 1st time you or anyone else from your company has asked me to provide an insurance card? This leads me to believe that the temporary plate is being delayed by Texas Direct Auto personnel if the insurance card is truly a State of Texas requirement. Please provide me with the name and email address of your General Manager. I want to make sure that all parties are involved in resolving this matter to my satisfaction. My temporary plate expires on 3/3/12. If I am unable to drive the vehicle due expired plates caused by your companies lack of attention to this matter then I expect compensation in an amount to be determined by my attorney who is also copied on this email. In addition, I will expect her time to be compensated by your organization as well. There will be no more excuses or broken promises from you or anyone else at Texas Direct Auto as to why this is dragging on for such as unacceptable length of time. Why a company would force a repeat customer to seek legal help to rectify your companies oversight, shoddy customer service and poor management is beyond me. I am in the process of notifying Wells Fargo Bank that they have financed a vehicle through your company to which clear title has not been provided or proven. Every ?consumer rip off report? that I have researched online has multiple complaints against Texas Direct Auto. If I had known this information prior to the purchase of my vehicle I most definitely would not have done business with your company. The Better Business Bureau now has my complaint along with the other 116 complaints that have been filed against your company over the past 36 months. Since Texas Direct Auto has a ?F? rating I don?t suppose my additional complaint makes that much of a difference, especially since 71 of the total BBB complaints weren?t important enough to Texas Direct Auto to even elicit a company response. MY COMPLAINT MAY NOT GET THE ATTENTION OF TEXAS DIRECT AUTO BUT I GUARANTEE MY LAWSUIT WILL!! WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE THE TEMPORARY LICENSE PLATE, WHEN CAN I EXPECT THE PERMENANT LICENSE PLATE, AND WHEN CAN I EXPECT THE TITLE TO THE THAT CORVETTE I BOUGHT FROM TEXAS DIRECT AUTO 4 MONTHS AGO?? Don't go here 2/25/2012

I went here on 2/23/2012 @ 930am because I saw a deal online that looked good. When I got there Ola Adeola, a salesman, greeted me. I told him about the car I saw online and he told me it was still avialable. He took a copy of my insurance and told me i could take the car for a test drive. When he pulled the car up I told him the car was nice, a great deal and wanted to get it after i got it inspected. I got the keys, and took it to get inspected. Around 1, the mechanic's shop called to tell me that the car was ready. I arrived at Texas Direct Auto shortly after paying for and picking up the car. As soon as I turned in my keys and sat down at Ola Adeola's desk, he told me that car had been sold. I was highly upset because i'd spent my money and I had my heart set on getting this car. Ola told me there was nothing he could do and that he couldn't give me a refund. Luckily, I found a better deal elsewhere. I will NEVER go back here agian. more

SCAM, Fake reviews... stay away from these people 2/23/2012

I was considering buying a Suburban from these guys and was doing my research. Thank God I found this site. more

WORST DEALERSHIP EVER 2/7/2012

This has been the worst experience ever!!!!!! First you pay 500 dollars for them to take it off the web and you get it back only if you purchase the car and if the deal doesn't work out you don't have a car and your out 500 bucks. I went in on Tue. to purchase an suv and it is now the following tue and still don't have the suv. The salesman told me upfront that they don't fix the car until someone is interested in buying it. Well stupid idea I spoke with the manager today and he tells me it won't be till Fri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh! Do yourself a favor and really pay attention to the low ratings and don't buy from them! more

I just purchased a 2008 Infiniti G37S with 24K miles. My (NO PRESSURE) salesperson was Rene (Kelli) Joiner. more

Deception and lies 1/16/2012

This group of super high volume car dealers is nothing more than a giant machine of deception and lies. The reviews on this site that are good are obviously written by Texas Direct Auto employees in an effort to hide the truth. Go to the Better Business Bureau and ripoffreport dot com (consumer websites) (where they can't write fake reviews about themselves) and get the REAL TRUTH! more

Excellent Customer Service and Great Price! 1/8/2012

We are really surprised about the bad reviews. We had a great experience with them. Our salesperson was Rene Joiner in internet sales and she was wonderful. Everything went smoothly and she explained everything, including the fact that they don't fill up the gas tanks due to the fact that they are a wholesale dealer. We understood that they sell so many vehicles per day that it would just be too costly for them. I saved money and time by handling everything over the phone. We knew the prices of the vehicles that we were interested in before we arrived. She explained that the process would go smoother if we had some idea of what we wanted and we were able to submit our trade information online before we even got there. Once we arrived, we realized why she said it would go smoother if we knew what we wanted because the place is huge and they have so many cars. Rene greeted my husband and I when we arrived and explained the whole process and even though it's different than most dealerships, at least the ones that we were use to, we were very happy with everything. There were no surprises and she wasn?t pushy at all. What a relief it was to meet a salesperson who was nice and understood our needs. I have recommended Rene to everyone I know wanting to purchase a used vehicle. The process is a little long, just like at other dealerships, but it was a wonderful atmosphere to wait in. I can tell you that it is one of the busiest dealerships that we have ever seen, but they even have a Deli inside and the food we ordered was good. We could see Rene was busy with other customers, but she always stopped to take the time to make sure that we were comfortable. We drove off with our vehicle and we were very happy. She even contacted us the next day to make sure that we were satisfied with everything. See Rene Joiner ? she was absolutely wonderful! We will be back for our next vehicle! Thank you Rene and thank you Texas Direct Auto! more

Buying experience 12/4/2011

After being amazed at the amount of cars I found my BMW M3. The car was pulled up to the front of the dealership and I was able to test drive alone without a sales person which was great. Our sales person Marcus Guilbeau made sure everything was perfect and moved as fast as possiable. After getting back from our test drive I traded my old BMW and beat my banks finance rate and drove my new car home. Overall great experience will be back. Thanks again Texas Direct and Marcus more

Poor Service 12/2/2011

The prices are reasonable but the service is less than good. I purchased a vehicle from them in November 2011. As far as certified pre owned I would have another company check out the vehicle before buying I asked the sales person when the oil had been changed he said he had no idea. We waited forever for the vehicle to be brought around after all the paperwork had been completed. I bought the vehicle as is but they offered to paint the hood because it was in less than decent shape as far as paint. When the vehicle was taken home my Wife was going through the glove compartment and found a piece of paper with the state of Pennsylvania on the letter head I told my Wife it was probably built up north. I had purchased a tool box and I wanted to mount it with the bed bolts I crawled under the truck and noticed the underneath of the truck was completely rusted so therefore the truck was from up north was never told that by Texas Auto Direct. I guess they would not want to tell you that. Basically they have decent prices but be very careful with your purchase look over it carefully top to bottom front to back I would be purchase another vehicle from them but would be real real cautious with the next purchase. And to add to the insult they will not fill the vehicle with fuel I left with a fuel light on and had to hope I mad it to a fuel station. more

Solid Car at a great price. 11/5/2011

Where do I start. I purchased a Kia Spectra 2007 that was still under factory warranty. I was told what to bring when I came to get the car I had reserved with Jimmy Gloff. The car was brought up after a little wait, I was one of at least 100 other people in the showroom that day. Car was on a 1/4 tank, Jimmy said that part of how they keep thier costs down is they do not fill up the car with gas. Considering I saved almost $3K on a similar car I had looked at with a retail dealer's used car dept. I did not even blink an eye. There is no free gas at any dealership, someone is paying for it, and the consumer usually bears the cost one way or another. Car drove great, had a speaker that did not sound right, and it was sluggish to start the motor. Jimmy had the speaker replaced, along with the battery. They paid for a couple of chili dogs at the deli in the showroom while I waited. I killed about an hour and a half looking at Ferraris, Aston Martins, and supercharged Shelbys until my car was done. Coolest dealership I have ever been in period. Car runs like a champ, gives me 38 MPG, car note is $125 bucks a month. Customer for life. Rock on Texas Direct Auto!! more

Buyer Beware - You can be had! 10/26/2011

I bought a 2005 Chev. Trailblazer 4X4. The paint was very shiny but I was assured the auto had not been repainted. The carfax was 'clean', no damage. After 900 miles, the brakes and rotors were gone. It cost $1,100 to replace them and shocks. A year later my daughter scraped a wall backing up. There was a huge amount of bondo on the whole rt. rear quarter panel. The car had been in a severe crash as I was show by the body shop. And yes, the whole car had been repainted, as I found out when an auto buyer showed me how to run my finger along the edge of the hood and the inside of he fender. more

Awesome Deal 10/21/2011

I just bought my car last night and I am so happy with this place! They approved me for financing over the phone a week ago but the car wasn't my first choice colour so I went other places, big mistake. I got the deal of a lifetime on my 2010 used car. David was awesome and even though he's really busy he always made a point to come by and check up on us. I do agree that it's hard to get them to answer the phone and when you're there you will be waiting a while. I went on a Friday and it took them an hour to pull my car to the front. Perhaps a week day would be a better day to go. Because of the waiting it took three hours to sign paperwork and drive away so if you're going I would say clear the rest of your day. That's the only reason they don't get four stars. When we get another car I wont even look anywhere else. more
