I bought a 2005 Chev. Trailblazer 4X4. The paint was very shiny but I was assured the auto had not been repainted. The carfax was 'clean', no damage. After 900 miles, the brakes and rotors were gone. It cost $1,100 to replace them and shocks. A year later my daughter scraped a wall backing up. There was a huge amount of bondo on the whole rt. rear quarter panel. The car had been in a severe crash as I was show by the body shop. And yes, the whole car had been repainted, as I found out when an auto buyer showed me how to run my finger along the edge of the hood and the inside of he fender.
