WOW ... I don't get it. I looked at their vehicles, up close and in person, for several months before buying one. The condition was awsome, the price was right. This is not a dealership, it is a wholesale business. If you buy a car from them, you'll see that in a form you sign. As far as personnel, I've never had a better experience in over 40 years of buying a car. They treated me well and there was absolutely no pressure of the kind you find at ANY dealership in the world. Test drove a car from these guys and after I stopped and parked the car for a closer inspection off the lot. The car would not start again!!!!!! I had to call the switch board who finally after 20 minutes patch me through to the salesman. He sent a tech to jump the car. Which took another 30 minutes and I was only 5 minutes away!!!! I guess all of the postive reviews must be from employees of Texas Direct Auto....STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I am not the type of person that normally writes reviews when something goes right because I expect good service, but I feel compelled to do so in this case. I purchased a 5 year old BMW from Texas Direct Auto in Missouri City, Tx (although they say they sell vehicles all over the world) and I must say that I have NEVER been more pleased with a vehicle purchase in my 48 years. My wife and I flew in from California after paying our deposit over the phone to Robert, our salesman, and we were picked up (for no charge!) at the airport by a Texas Direct Auto shuttle. That in itself was very impresive! When we arrived at the dealership we met Robert who was an absolute delight to work with (no car salesman pressure and games) and very friendly. He let us take our car for a ride and I HAVE TO SAY, THIS CAR IS MUCH, MUCH NICER THAN WE EXPECTED EVEN THOUGH ROBERT TOLD US HOW NICE IT WAS OVER THE PHONE!! The entire process took us a few hours because of the way this place is set up. There were probably 25 to 35 people there picking up their purchase while we were there so we had to wait a bit in the lobby but that was no problem for us (they even gave us freshly made choclate chip cookies while we waited!) I will reccomend this place to everyone that says they are looking for a vehicle! I personally feel that I saved over 5k on my purchase and I had a great trip doing it!! Thank you to Robert in Sales and Frank in the Finance office. You guys have a CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!. more

I had read some reviews about these guys and unfortunately there is some bad ones out there. But I realized these guys sell over 1000 cars a month, they are going to have some unreasonable customers. So I proceeded with caution and found the process a little time consuming but WELL worth it! I saved over $4000 on my purchase. The BMW dealer in Clear Lake had the same car for $4200 more. Thats right the same car! I don't know about you but it was worth the 2 hours to save $4000. I definitely would recommend Texas Direct Auto if you are serious about saving money. Not the nicest looking facility but who cares when you save that kind of money. I will buy again from these guys! more

WOW I am really stunned to see all of these bad reviews. We purchased a Land Rover from Texas Direct and I couldn't have been happier with the vehicle or the experience. They were upfront about the pricing. The car is still worth more than we paid for it (someone mentioned they over value the vehicles) which is just something that doesn't happen with a vehicle purchase. There was a minor scratch on the vehicle when purchased, but they fixed it immediately. Other than that, it was in immaculate condition and had low miles. The vehicle was still covered under warranty although we really didn't need it, I have had no problems with the Land Rover mechanically whatsoever.In hindsight, we probably should have asked for new tires (I saw that on another review) and that's the only reason I am not giving them 5 stars. The vehicle did need new tires.I loved the no hassle sale approach and I think a lot of people don't like that you basically have to come in pre qualified so your finances have to be in order to purchase from them. They have a board that shows everyone (good and bad) buying experiences. I am not sure if they do in house financing with the new location but when we purchased they didn't and that was perfectly ok with us as it worked out better to go through the bank. It is true about them puling the cars out one at a time, and the lot not being well organized but we knew exactly what we came to purchase (we had already put our deposit on the vehicle) so I can't speak to how it would be not knowing exactly which car you wanted. I don't think its for someone who is looking for a traditional dealer experience. We were allowed to test drive the vehicle and did. They also have a policy that if you are not satisfied you can return the vehicle no questions asked (I can't remember the timeframe) so they didn't come across as crooks at all. Within our grace period we took the vehicle to the Land Rover dealership to be checked out by the service staff and they said it was in excellent used condition with no mechanical problems. As a whole I have been extremely pleased with the purchase and would recommend Texas Direct. more

I am surprised to see the bad reviews as well. We just bought a vehicle from them and it was in almost perfect condition with low miles and a good price. The price we were quoted on EBay was the exact price that we got. If you are looking for a dealership to kiss your butt and hold your hand, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place that will give you a low price and a speedy paperwork process, give them a shot. We priced vehicles with several dealerships of the same make and model that we got from Texas Direct. The Texas Direct vehicle was priced over 4,000 LESS than the cheapest one we found other places. And those more expensive vehicles had twice the miles of the vehicle we got from Texas Direct. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was because they are a little slow to communicate and call back sometimes. I think this is more of a problem of an understaffed dealership that is growing exponentially. When we picked up the vehicle, the process was fast and smooth. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes. The vehicle is beautiful and in great condition. It has a couple little things here and there, but you have to keep in mind these are not brand new cars they are USED. The car is beautiful and I am happy with the purchase. more

Let me start by saying that I have many years in the automotive world so I feel like what I say carries a fair amount of weight with it. That being said, the sales people are just saints to say the very least. But there is always two sides to every coin. The managers are the worst I have ever encountered in my entire life, and I have seen some bad ones trust me. I don't think I have felt more uncomfortable talking to anyone in my entire life! But at least they do have one saving grace and that's their sales people. Would I buy from them? Sure if I didn't have to deal with the cancer of the world sales manager ( may they only get the worst life has to offer). Hope this was helpful. more
