Not worth the money or your dignity. 6/20/2009

I bought a package of sessions from life body fitness.. WORST MISTAKE EVER. Tiffany fired her trainers and signed them on as independent contractors, but my trainer Celeste (she was the BEST trainer, too bad she's GONE) didn't want to be an independent contractor... needless to say, I asked for a refund, but suddenly, my contract disappeared and I was locked out of the online system which showed my sessions. I've talked to other people and this happened to them too. I had to take them to court to get my money back! I would recommend going to a different gym- one who uses ethical business practices! As for the training itself, I was bounced around from trainer to trainer, until I landed with Celeste (too bad Tiffany FIRED her). I felt like a hot potato that nobody wanted to touch. The passive aggressive behavior of the trainers and the owner took me back to junior high school. I did not pay thousands of dollars for such absurd and childlike behavior from people I thought were professionals. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. Pros: NONE! Cons: Several.... more

I started with Tom at lifeBODY fitness back in November of 2008. I wanted to shed the 45 pounds I had gained after delivering my last child, 4 YEARS AGO! I was 100% certain that a woman trainer would fit me best. I was completely wrong. If I had a magic wand and could create the perfect trainer, the result would be Tom. Tom is the triple threat trainer. He is experienced, constantly changing my workouts to keep them fresh and challenging. He is motivating, always encouraging me to continue even when I want to give up. He has personality, keeps the mood fun and entertaining. You will be hard pressed to leave a session with Tom without a smile on your face and a burn in your muscles. Pros: The best trainer EVER! more

Best trainers in town! 5/12/2009

I have been training with Tom at Lifebodyfitness since november 2008, and have been amazed at the results that I have been seeing. Each time I train with Tom, he is innovative and always pushing me to my limits. I have had trainers from 24 hr fitness and bally's and have never been challenged nor seen results like I do with Tom. I would definitely recommend Lifebodyfitness to anyone who asks and especially Tom, since he is the BEST in town! Tuyen Pros: one on one training that WORKS! more

great motivation!! 5/4/2009

I work with Thomas at lifeBODY. He is incredibly knowledgeable, creative, and encouraging. My workouts are fun, motivating, and I felt results quickly. I'd reached a plateau, and then slipped a bit from my usual workout routine. Thomas helped me get quickly back on track. He pushes me hard, but makes it all fun. Instead of counting abdominal reps one day, he had me name as many different kinds of fruit that I could think of every time I did a sit up. That took my mind off the pain, made me smile, and helped me do MORE reps than before! Thomas is fantastic and his workouts are definitely worth the investment. I've been working out with Tiffany for a few months, and she is very supportive and kicks my butt every time I go in. The workouts are always different so I'm never bored. I feel stronger and am working towards my goal. I also like the private atmosphere of the gym. It's a great place to go workout. I came to LifeBODYFitness hoping to gain some confidence back after a series of injuries and to help break my cycle of long sedentary work hours. After some bad gym experiences and not ""clicking"" with other trainers, I had almost given up and my motivation was low. In just a few months of working with Celeste (as well as the positive and friendly energy that comes from other trainers who are often present), I'm feeling like my body is strong again. I started training with Celeste in January to get in shape for my wedding (which was 3 weeks ago). Of all the trainers I've had in the past (6 to be exact), Celeste is by far the most knowledgeable and most creative trainer I've had. Every session is new and different - I NEVER get bored. I lost inches and toned up all over - everyone at my wedding commented and complimented me on my fit body. Celeste makes me work hard, but I am always excited to go in for my session because she is personable and encouraging. I recommend Life Body Fitness to anyone who is looking for a tough workout and a great atmosphere. Changed for the better! 7/15/2008

I'd just turned 50 and was completely bummed about it! I'd been trying to lose weight on my own but quickly fell back into old habits. I'd drive by lifebodyfitness every day on my way to work and often wondered what it would be like to hire a personal trainer. I finally walked in on a Friday with a specific goal and on Monday was beginning a 5 day a week, 12 week program to lose weight, get fit, and be in good health and spirits! Tiffany's program included following a specific diet (and keeping a diary of everything I ate) and weight training mixed with cardio. After 15 weeks I've lost 18 lbs. (my husband's lost 25 lbs. by simply following the diet plan!) and about 10 inches total (and gone from a size 12 to a size 8!) But that's just the mechanics -- the real joy is spending half an hour with Tiffany every day as she motivates, encourages, and expertly guides you through the sessions, crafting exercises to meet your specific needs and abilities, joking, laughing, and even counting reps in Italian to distract you from the pain! Her staff of trainers and the other customers are also great fun to be around, which makes it such a rewarding time. Best decision I ever made and well-worth the commitment! Pros: Small, intimate studio but with plenty of room for customers and moving around more

Hey everyone out there I wanted to let you know about the awesome personal trainer I am working with at lifeBODYfitness. Her name is Celeste and with all her knowledge, guidance, and support, I have lost 11 pounds and numerous inches. Since I start training with Celeste, I have more energy and strength. One of the best decisions I have made! 7/9/2008

I ended up putting on 20 pounds after my boyfriend moved in with me. I just let my normal workout routine slide and was eating a bunch of junk food. I got a little too comfortable with just changing out of my tight clothes and into the sweats after work. After a co-worker asked me if I was pregnant (and I wasn't!) I realized that things needed to change. I lost some weight on my own, but just didn't feel like I was going about it right and managed to gain some of the weight back. I decided I needed some help to get me on track again and teach me how to live healthier. I starting looking on Citysearch and came across Tiffany's website. I met with her and signed up right away. It really was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have been training with Tiffany for almost a year now and I have never felt better. She is awesome. She definately does not let you get away with cheating on your diet (that darn food log!), but she is so nice and supportive with her suggestions, help, and ideas of different things to try. It really keeps you motivated. She will push you on the workouts too, but she will tell you little stories to get you through it. I have back and neck problems occasionally, and she will always ask me how I am doing and tailor the workout on the spot if I am not feeling 100%. I have learned so much from Tiffany and feel like I am a much healthier person as a result. more

Fun, attentive trainers 7/1/2008

Training with Thomas at LifeBODY Fitness has been so fun! He pushes me to work hard, but not to the point where I feel frustrated and never want to return. In addition, I always get compliments from Thomas and Tiffany about how hard I'm working, which is super motivating! Compared to trainers I've had in the past (ones who looked bored during the workout, pushed too hard, criticized my eating or tiredness) these folks are amazing. more

Kickin My Butt! 6/30/2008

After hiring a few trainers that weren't on the same page as me I was bound and determined to find one that was! I called 5-10 trainers in the Portland area before finding LifeBody Fitness and Tiffany. Tiffany took the time to listen to where I'd been and where I wanted to go. She even invited me in for a personal meeting. At first I was leery - thinking oh she just wants to ""sell"" me in person. NOT SO! I got there and she took time out of her VERY busy day to listen to my wants and needs. She even had me walk across the studio so she could get a gage of how I moved.... something NO other trainer I'd ever seen had done! She worked w me on my limited budget and didn't push for anything I didn't want. She is encouraging and firm yet pleasant and polite. She is teaching me not only how to work out PROPERLY (I'd done all these exercises before, but NEVER like I do ?em w Tiffany, TRUST ME) Since I started seeing her I lost 4 total inches in my first month alone! Kicked my butt!!! 6/26/2008

Tiffany has been my trainer since February of this year. At the time I was just 3 months postpardum, and in the worst shape of my life! No kidding... It was scary. Tiffany whipped me into action, making me feel the burn (and the pain) I hadn't felt in a LOOOONG time... Good stuff. My stats were scary, but I fixed them with her help. Exhaustingly wonderful!!!! I started working out with Celeste in October and I am so pleased with the results! I signed up for personal training because I had basically gotten myself as far as I could go on my own, and I felt like my motivation was starting to slip. When left to my own devices, I will *not* get myself out of bed in the morning to go the gym. I have been an athlete all my life; I've done triathlons, I've always had a gym membership and I actually WENT. But I fell off the wagon HARD, and became disillusioned with so-called 'personal trainers' at another full-time gym. I came to Tiffany weighing more than I ever thought I could, feeling out of shape, lazy, sad, and convinced I couldn't lose weight because I'd reached my 40s. Tiffany's wonderful personality, incredible motivational skills, and training smarts helped me help myself --- I have lost more than 20 pounds, am zeroing in on my goal, LOVE my workouts, and am actually practicing what I knew all along about eating well, taking care of my body and my spirit, and carrying a positive attitude. LifeBody fittness is more than a place to work out your body, it's a place to change your perspective, and trade your old thought patterns for new, healthier ones that truly do work. I have been training with Tiffany for over a year now. I am a runner. My primary reason for joining was to increase my strength/flexibility and decrease the number of running-induced injuries that I was sustaining. Tiffany quickly identified my areas of weakness and designed a program to target those muscles and strengthen my core. Killer trainer! 1/17/2008

It was while training to compete in my first triathlon this last year that my wife and I started visiting Tiffany and her facilities. Those twice a week sessions truly helped me in obtaining my goal of finishing my race in a healthy and respectable fashion. We continue to go every week and enjoy every session. Our time with Tiffany has helped us to further our personal goals for a healthier lifestyle through our eating habits and our excersise habits.
