Southport Heating, Plumbing, & Geothermal were fabulous. I just can't say enough good things about them. They were great. They were so kind and thoughtful with being in my way, I couldn't believe it. Also, the way they were dressed and showed their identification was very impressive. I talked to 3 companies, and Southport was the best. I had to let one company go. There really is no comparison. Southport's professionalism is unbeatable. There was no messing around. They never knocked another company. Maybe they weren't the cheaper choice, but I definitely got my money's worth. They were here within 20 minutes of my call and they answered all of my questions. They never took advantage of me at all, and explained everything. There was no pressure. And they stop over to see that everything is working correctly and that I don't have any questions, I mean who does that? I have recommended them to my son, and will continue to use them in the future. Rita A. more

I recently used Southport Heating, Plumbing, & Geothermal for the first time. They have excellent customer service, outstanding professionalism, and I never felt rushed with the whole process. They were doing an annual service/check-up on our AC unit and I was 150 satisfied with their handling of it. I will definitely use them from now on. more

Adam at Southport Heating and Plumbing was so awesome to work with my regarding plumbing issue. He truly went above and beyond his job explaining the problem and exactly how he was going to fix it. The price of the job was very fair and I didn't feel I was being taken advantage of. Needless to say, I had a few quotes from other plumbers and was quoted double and even quadruple the amount that I paid with Southport. Amazing how other plumbers totally disrespect and take advantage of people. Not Southport though. Thank you for such a awesome experience and you have a customer for life. more

Wow! Southport is Impressive!! 4/25/2012

I don't say impressed about many things anymore, but we have been impressed with Southport Heating and Cooling! We contacted Southport for a service agreement last year! They took care of doing the checks on our A/C last year in the spring! After having a heat wave in March of this year, 2012 and setting record highs for about five days, then Mother Nature decided to send us back to winter! When the wife turned our twenty-five year old furnace on for some heat, she kept waiting for the heat! It never came! Our unit had finally bit the dust! We called Southport, they came right out, and their tech figured out what was going on! Our heat exchanger had a crack in it! He suggested the kind of money that it would take to fix the problem would be much better spent on a newer unit, with more efficiency, and up to date technology! Our old unit was a Carrier! Our old A/C unit was already ten years old and still using Freon, so we had decided before hand that if anything happened to either one of the units, we were going to change the whole system! Southport sent their estimator/sales rep. out right away! He looked at the situation, did a bunch of measurments, and ran the numbers! He gave us three very good choices of units that would fit our needs! We went with the middle of the road unit, along with a couple of high end additions! We got lucky, and got in on a couple of good rebate programs at the right time, and managed to also get in on a great financing program! We sat up a date, and time for the installers to come out and remove the old units, and install the new ones! The three people showed up on time, were very courteous, got straight to work, and I didn't have to supervise them! The didn't tear up my house either, bumping into things and punching holes in the walls like a lot of these people that some of these companies sent out! I checked on them to see if they needed anything now and then, and after that, if they did, they came and got me, and told me what they needed! They really great, and worked like a well oiled machine! That is team work, and you rarely see that now days! The estimator/sale rep. also stopped by later in the day to check to make sure I was satisfied with what was happening, and I was! The guy that took care of most of the decisions on the installation, is the person that hand made the new duct work line up with the old duct work! Anyone else would have needed a CAD Computer program to build this piece to link the two together but, this guy did it in his head, and laid it out, formed it, and cut it, on the ramp of the work trailer they pulled with them! He brought it in, put it up there, hammered things where they were supposed to go, and made all the seams come together, and it fit perfectly! I was just super impressed with the work and quality! By 5:00 in the evening, the crew was finished with the whole job, cleaned my basement up, and left it exactly how it was when they got there! The two new units were installed and ready to go! Every person that we have come in contact with from Southport Heating and Cooling has been excellent, courteous, and very impressive! They treat you like you are a part of their family! We have been happier with them than any other company that we have worked with in the last twenty years, ever since we lost Arrow Heating and Cooling! We really did fall in love with our new units right away! We now have a new thermostat, humidistat, and air filtering system that takes care of our inside environment for us! The thermostat, furnace and A/C all talk to each other now, so once you've set everything the way you want it, it takes care of itself! If you need a new heating or cooling system, or both, or work done on your old, and you want to hook up with a really good company, we highly recommend that you call Southport Heating and Cooling! We think you will be glad you did! When a company does good work, and cares about their customers, they usually stay in business for a long time, and we are looking forward to Southport being around for a long time! Call and talk to the ladies in the office, and if you are looking for a new unit, ask for Josh, he's a good ole boy, that will take care of you the way you should be taken care of! Tom Eskridge more

We have a strange condition with our thermostats. James came and did a "complete physical" on our system and we arrived at a reasonable way to proceed with diagnosing wheher we have a "gremlin" or if the two thermostats in question were acting up because of weak batteries. I was impressed with James' no nonsense approach to the problem and also with the fact that he did a complete look at the systems in our home. more

Great service at a great cost! 4/15/2012

We purchased a new construction in a Kenosha subdivision in late September 2011. We decided not to have the central air conditioning unit installed with the builder because we thought that the price was much more expensive than what would have been with another company. In March 2012 we obtained quotes from 3 separate companies, including the company that would have installed during the construction of our home. Southport not only provided a better A/C unit at a better cost than the other two companies, but also inspected and adjusted our furnace at no additional cost! Everyone we were in communication with was extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. I am so thankful that Southport does more than just HVAC because we plan to use them for additional projects or repairs in the future. A good, honest, and skilled team in a local setting. What more can you ask for? Great job Southport! more

James provided excellent and efficient service for our furnace maintenance. The bad news is -altho not wholly unexpected - we need both a new AC and furnace. I felt confident that he correctly analyzed our units and thankful that the temp is moderate enough to have the work done now without the pressure of extreme hot or cold weather. more

Excellent service. Our furnace developed a problem on a weekday evening. The technician was very knowledgeable and helped me troubleshoot our furnace over the phone to identify the issue. We were OK without heat, so I made an appt for the next morning. The Technician showed up promptly and resolved the problem. Very satisfied. more

Showed up on a Sunday within 60 minutes of calling 2/7/2012

We had a houseful of kids for a birthday sleepover and woke to no heat. Called our friends at Southport and they came right away. Problem was fixed in 45 minutes and despite the emergency nature of the call on a Sunday the charges were so reasonable I felt bad paying so little. more
