First rate and professional 1/30/2012

I like it when a company keeps their promise, communicates and respects our home. Southport did all three on their recent plumbing inspection of our home. I got a call telling me that the Adam was on his way within the timeframe I originally schedule. They immediately put on their "booties" on entering the home and proceeded to go to work. I asked for a quote on a hot water heater and Adam did a great job providing it and showing me how I could save by signing up for the Southport maintenance program. Well done. I will recommend them in the future. more

My family has used Southport for both install and service. Our overall experience with Southport has been nothing but excellent. Excellent company to work with prompt, trustworthy and knowledgable. 1/25/2012

My husband and I are very pleased with our new furnace that Southport Heating installed. The servicemen were excellent to work with. They were very prompt and trustworthy. The entire team was very knowledgable and they were able to answer all of our questions. Our energy bill has gone down significantly since we put in our new furnace. We also got the dehumidifier and home air purifier which has helped with the dust and my allergies. It is a pleasure to work with Southport heating I highly recommend them:) more

Furnace tune-up 1/23/2012

We had our furnace tuned-up because it was not working at full efficiency. Our technician, Eric, was extremely professional, answered all our questions, made suggestions, and did an excellent job. We always find the service from Southport to be top-notch. more

Emergency Furnace Installed 1/19/2012

Our furnace broke on Friday night. We called Saturday morning and a technician was out right away to fix our furnace. He fixed the initial problem. However later that day our furnace began leaking tons of water. The technician came out again to figure out what was happening. In the process of trying to fix that problem, the technician realized there was a CO leak and the furnace needed to be shut off. We discovered that the heat exchanger was broken and would need to be replaced. He suggested a new furnace all together because ours was 20 years old. So a sales man was able to meet us at our home at 6:30 in the morning, that way we could talk before I had to go to work, to help us pick out a new furnace within our price range. We were able to pick out a furnace and have it installed the same day. We are SO VERY HAPPY with the service we received. We will definatelly be calling them again if we ever have trouble with our furnace or ac. more

Prompt service. Job done right 1/17/2012

I needed the toilet drain flange replaced prior to floor installers finishing the bathroom. Adam was able to get out here right away in order to complete the job and prevent the floor installers to come back. He analyzed the situation, determined a solution to a badly corroded flange. His solution was one that avoided the risk of breaking the drain pipe. The job was done right. more

Water heater - great service 1/13/2012

Southport plumbing is excellent! I called with a water heater emergency (in my mind) on a Friday evening and was talked through some basic troubleshooting with a patient plumber. We scheduled a replacement for the following week, the office staff stayed late to schedule and confirm my installation, saving me the extra hours charges and giving us peace of mind over the weekend due to the info offered over the phone. On install day Adam did an excellent job, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Thanks again!! more

From NO heat to a quick fix! 1/3/2012

We came home from a weekend away and found we had no heat. A phone call during the Rose Bowl & I received a prompt call from Adam and less than 45 minutes later he was at our home. He quickly found the problem and fixed it promptly and professionally. He is a great asset to Southport Heating. more

Furnace repair 1/1/2012

A few weeks ago we had a problem with the condensation collection box on our Amana furnace. First, the serviceman began to disconnect the part attached to the collection box when he had no possible way of fixing it without a new part. The collection box was visibly cracked and was leaking. Why take things apart? Secondly, Southport did give me a quote for $469 to repair the furnace. I found a different company to do it for $169. That's a big descrenpancy. The part was $105 and it took an hour of labor to install it. It seems Soutport was more interested in selling me a new furnace than finding me a low cost solution to my problem. It sure didn't take long for Soutport to slap their sticker on the furnace ductwork. I think it's apparent that I am dissatified. The service charge to show up was also $20 more than the company i chose to do the work. I cannot recommend this company. more

I know why I see so many Southport trucks around town, with their excellent service they must be extremely busy. 12/31/2011

I called Southport with a very slow draining tub. From the receptionist(and I am sad to say that I don't remember her name, she was so helpful and friendly) to Adam Langridge who came to fix the problem I was impressed by their service. Adam came right away the next morning and was on time, got right to work and was done in two hours. Very friendly, yet professional. I will certainly recommend Southport to others. more
