You are wonderful and I will recommend you to anyone looking for that perfect dress.

Worst

We went to Pearl's Place on a Saturday, so I was prepared for chaos. It's nearly impossible to find a dress in there. Luckily, I had 3 people helping me search for what I wanted. ...

Excellent Experience 4/12/2011

I had an excellent experience with Pearl's Place. I ordered both my wedding gown and my seven BM dresses through Pearl's Place. My dress (Maggie Sottero ""Cleo"") took 3 months to arrive. My Watters & Watters BM dresses (#1253) took 1.5 months to arrive. All arrived in perfect condition with no problems. Pricing was significantly better than bridal shops. I saved 42% on my dress, and my BMs saved 38% on their dresses. more

So pleased with Pearl's 4/8/2011

I found the perfect dress by Allure Bridal at a bridal salon near my house. I called a few places to see if I could find a lower price, and Pearl's came highly recommended. I tried to bargain with the shop by my house, but they couldn't come close to Pearl's price, even if they sold me the sample. I ended up ordering from Pearls, and received my dress 4 months later - right on time! The dress quality was beautiful. I received many compliments on it, and I loved that it wasn't a popular dress. It was heavy, but you can't avoid that when it's beaded. I loved that it had a corset built in so I didn't need to wear a long line bra. I didn't need alterations, just a one button bustle that was done by a local seamstress. I saved around 40% by ordering from Pearls! Same situation as my dress - we found this at a local bridal shop. SInce I was so pleased with the prices at Pearl's Place, i called and got a quote for the girl's dresses. Again, they were the lowest I could find, so I ordered from there. They came in a month early, too! The dresses were nicely made. The tissue taffeta material was beautiful! more

Couldn't have been happier! 4/7/2011

I found my dress at a local store but according to the bridal bargain book, could find it for cheaper since it was out of my budget. I asked for a quote and they sent me one from a store in New Orleans. I asked the place I tried it on at if they would match it and after a near sabotage and definite no, long story short, I went ahead and put my faith in a phone order for the place in New Orleans. I received it a month before expected, in perfect new condition and couldn't have been happier! It was over $200 less and still the same gown, same designer. more

Perfect! 4/4/2011

I just ordered my dress over the phone from Pearl's. The woman who answered was so sweet and helpful. Plus, the dress I ordered was $300 less then what the store was charging...Ill update my review when I receive the dress! Update: I just received my dress yesterday and it is in perfect condition and absolutely beautiful! I would recommend them to anyone. more

Great deal 4/1/2011

I ordered my girl's dresses from here and what a great deal! I did our order over the phone and had no problems at all. more

No Complaints! 3/30/2011

The dresses came in 6 weeks, in the right sizes and colors, and they were so inexpensive. My BM?s saved about 33% on their dresses, which made them under $100 each. I definitely recommend using Pearl?s Place for your dresses. more

The Beginning 3/29/2011

I ordered my wedding dress at the beginning of July. It is August 13 and they called me yesterday saying my dress is ready. I am so excited. I also ordered the bridesmaid dresses as well as the mini bride dress from them. So far, so good. Kim is really helpful. Their card system for names could be better but it is what it is. I also got my dress for less than $1000 with a discount and free alterations !!! more

Definitely recommend them 3/28/2011

After doing plenty of research on Pearl's Place I decided to go for it and get some of the bridal party's dresses from here. I am glad I did because I saved myself a lot of money since I wanted to buy them their dresses. We already received the dresses and they are beautiful and in oerfect consition and what's best they are 40% off! I definitely recommend them! If I could give them more then 5 starts I would! more

bad experience, bride left crying 3/26/2011

If you are looking for an experience like you see on Say Yes to the Dress, this is not the place to go.My niece is getting married. She lives near Lafayette, La. and drove 2 hours to go here. They do not take appointments on Sat., so we got there early to wait in the line. Once the door opened we piled in like cattle. There are only 4 dressing rooms and 2 mirrors and barely no seating. So, all 4 brides are there with there friends and family shoved in an area about 12x12, but thats not all, the brides that are waiting to be help are there, too. You have to share a mirror with one of the other brides and in our case the other bride seemed to always be in it, so my niece never really got to stand there and look at herself in any of the 6 dresses she tried on. The consultant was rude to my niece many times. At one point she look at her and said ""I don't know what you want, you can go look for yourself on the racks"". She also told the bride that was waiting that was next in line ""I'm sorry this is taking so long, I'll be with you in a little while"", we had only been there for about an hour. She never even said goodbye when we left. I am only telling some of the story the whole experience was terrible from beginning to end. She treated my niece like it was her fault the she didn't find anything that she liked, like she had done her job well. I will be calling Mon. to complain to the management. When she was told that my niece was outside crying, she said for her to come back and make an appointment and offered us her card, when was denied. But, we did find her a dress that day at a nice shop down the road from there. The customer service at Linda Lee's bridal was excellent and there was plenty room for the bride, family and friends. We didn't have to share a mirror with anyone, either. All the bridal consultants were helpful, very nice and professional at Linda Lee's. more

Happy Customer 3/23/2011

After reading all the PW & Knot reviews and also having a good GF order from them - I knew I would order from them. I placed the order before Xmas and just got them this past weekend. The delievery was quick and I was one happy customer. I love my Bill Levkoff 551 - champagne/ivory dresses for my BMs. Plus the price was right. I saved some $$ by going with Pearl's Place compared to local bridal salons I've been to. more

AWFUL, EXPERIENCE, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE... 3/16/2011

The bridesmaid dress chosen was a style by Jim Hjelm. After being reassured by not one but three different sales associates from Pearl's that they had the style in the store, I drove to New Orleans. I had an appointment and showed up for it but was met with what can only be described as pandamonium. I can completely understand that Saturdays are busy, they are busy for all merchants, but what I cannot understand is when showing up for my 1:00 appointment, I am told I will not be seen until after 3:00. I was not in a huge hurry so I was overly burdened. After searching the store for almost three hours and enlisting the help of three different sales associates, I am told that "you thought you had the dress but you guess you do not." Thanks for nothing. This should have been the first clue to Pearl's lackluster attempt at customer service.\r \r I searched the entire state for retailers that carry Jim Hjelm and finally find a store in Lake Charles that has the dress. I drive up there and try more

Pathetic. Awful. ZERO Customer Service 3/16/2011

AWFUL, EXPERIENCE, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE...The bridesmaid dress chosen was a style by Jim Hjelm. After being reassured by not one but three different sales associates from Pearl's that they had the style in the store, I drove to New Orleans. I had an appointment and showed up for it but was met with what can only be described as pandemonium. After searching the store for almost three hours and enlisting the help of three different sales associates, I am told that ""you thought you had the dress but you guess you do not."" Thanks for nothing. I searched the entire state for retailers that carry Jim Hjelm and finally find a store in Lake Charles that has the dress. The store was unwilling to negotiate much on the price so I called Pearl's and was given a much better price. I was never once told about the ""No Service Discount"" or that I would have to use one credit card or the fact that any dress over a size 16 would have a $30-$50 surcharge. None of that was ever mentioned to me on the phone or through my email correspondence prior to ordering. I was sent a size chart from 2005 and guidelines for the measurements. I have all the measurements except for one but this bridesmaid is going to New Orleans so she wants to just get measured at Pearl's, order and pay for her dress. I call Pearl's to let them know this and find out that they will NOT measure her nor will they let her pay for just her dress, all of the dresses have to be on one credit card. Thank you, Pearl's, for letting me know nothing about your absolutely ridiculous ordering and measuring policies. After receiving the final measurement, I call Pearl's ready to order. I have all of the information for each bridesmaid and have given you the credit card number; this is when you decide to tell me about the $30-50 charge on dresses over size 16. I have no choice but to say okay so the dresses are ordered and my bridesmaids are slightly pissed and embarrassed. Thank you again Pearl's for lacking any resemblance of customer service. I received an email from Pearl's with my order details and shipping information. The following is an excerpt and can be described as nothing other than a complete lie. Someone is required to sign for the package, we would never ship so important an item without requiring a signature. So you must be sure and also advise your maids that this address is in our file and if a change is necessary they have to let us know. Also make sure you give us the phone number at the address we are shipping to as UPS will call you when they are about to deliver. My bridesmaid's dresses were left on doorsteps and in the rain-no signature required nor was a phone call ever made to alert them of delivery even though a phone number associated with each address was given. So thank you again Pearl's for having no clue what customer service is. You have truly made dealing with your store unbearable. I wish that was the end but sadly it is not. The three bridesmaids that were charged the $30-$50 surcharge, their dresses were three sizes too big. Which means that one of my bridesmaids should not have paid the $30 and my two other bridesmaid should have only been charged $30 rather than $50. If you had any knowledge of this brand or any idea about the sizing you should have had the decency to pass that information along to the consumer. I am letting you know the issues with the size chart so you do not continue to let down your customers. Maybe in the future Pearl's might even learn what customer service is because what I received from Pearl's was simply pathetic and has been the worst part of my wedding planning experience. I will never recommend Pearl's to anyone and will be sure to pass along this horrible ordeal to everyone. I sincerely hope Pearl's makes some necessary changes so future brides do not have this same experience. Their response to me was: ""After reveiwing your order and all I do not see that we did anything wrong in this matter."" more

Great experience 3/16/2011

I had a great experience with Pearl's Place. They came highly recommended to me, and after doing some shopping around, I found they had the best prices for my Melissa Sweet bridesmaids dresses. If you are interested in a Melissa Sweet bm dress, note that you will have to call for pricing. They won't provide the information via email like they will for some other designers. The dresses were about 50 dollars cheaper than any other salon I checked with, and they arrived pretty quickly. I ordered them at the end of April and they arrived late in July. I felt like communication with them was a little hard sometimes, but I understand they are really busy and there are only so many employees there at one time to take phone calls. I think the great deal I got and smooth ordering/shipping process made up for it though. more

Repeat Customer 3/15/2011

Myself and several friends have used Pearl's Place for several special occasions. The cost is nicely balanced with quality, options, and service. more

Be prepared to wait! Keep expectations low! 3/14/2011

Went to purchase a bride's maid dress on a Saturday. There's two desks. You have to sign in at second desk that you don't immediately see. Not very organized. Customer's just standing in circle, not sure what to do. An hour later, my name was called. The consultant did not welcome me or smile..just instructed me to put my address on the sign in sheet. I asked to see two wedding gowns by designers listed on their website and in magazines (one of which I new ahead was in the $4000 range). She immediately said they did not carry the designers. She did not offer to show me something else. So, they lost a future bride who will be purchasing a $4000 dress at Town & Country instead. I was passed off to another girl who measured me over my clothes. Then, I was given an index card with the entire bridal parties' measurements and contact info on the card. Yes, this is their 40 year old system...no computers. Can you imagine if I or they lost this card? Next, you get shuffled to another line to pay. The girl behind me said she came from out of town 3 hours to be fitted and was turned away on another day. They told her she had to be in by 11am on a Saturday, or she would not be serviced again. The girl on the phone would not take an order from a customer from out of town over the phone. There seemed to be some issue that the owner's son, Jordan, was supposed to handle, but refused. After you pay, they give you a list of instructions with bold notes everywhere. Free alterations, yeah right? They run that schedule like the Gestapo. M, W, F 10 - 2pm. Um, I work, and if they are going to turn away a bride who drove 3 hours, surely they'll turn away someone who already paid half in lives 20 minutes away. I will not be getting my dress altered there. Store is too small for the amount of merchandise. Tags are removed, so you can't tell who designed the dress. Understaffed on Saturdays. If it were up to me, I would have ordered the bride's maid dress from the internet and saved money. My waitress at dinner said she waited for 30 minutes and was turned away at 4PM. She bought her dress from Humbug. Will keep you posted. more

Satisfied with everything 3/11/2011

They are a very busy store but I was satisfied with everything. They were very good to me and helped me out as much as they could. I would go back if I needed a dress for anything. more

Save money with Pearl's 3/8/2011

I ordered my dress and my MOH?s dress from Pearl?s. I had my dress in a month and a half and I had my MOH?s dress in 3 months. Both dresses arrived far earlier then expected and were in perfect condition. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to save some money. more

Great Experience at Pearl's 3/2/2011

I see a lot of less than perfect reviews for this place (most of them from 2011), so it makes me wonder. I had a great experience at Pearl's Place. I was in search of a last-minute Mardi Gras Ball gown, stretching far and wide across Metairie to find one. My friend suggested we go to Pearl's Place because it was where one of her friends got her wedding dress. I figured, ""What have I got to lose?"" When my friend and I walked in, we started browsing a little until about 20 seconds later, a woman came up to help us (I would also like to note that the place was pretty busy too). Her name was Kim. We told her what I was in search of, and she guided us directly to where we needed to look. I told her that I wasn't looking for anything flashy or gaudy (I like to keep it simple), and she pulled out the most perfect dress. It was my favorite color, and I'm not gonna lie, it looked awesome on me. It was a little out of my price range, but she said she could probably take 10-20% off if I really loved it. The only problem was that it was way too long and would need to be altered. Since I was in a hurry (I needed the dress three days later), I had to pass on it (which broke my heart) because the seamstresses were too backed up with alterations (which are free, by the way). So after that I sulked around looking at the other dresses for a while. They have a lot of really pretty ones. The sizes are pretty small, so you may need someone to help you find one that would fit you appropriately. Long story short, I found the most perfect dress at Pearl's Place, but since I was short on time, I had to look elsewhere (and I can't really fault the seamstresses either; three days is asking a lot). more

Best Prices for Dresses 2/24/2011

I was a little concerned about ordering the dresses online. I did a lot of research and pricing before I ordered. Pearl?s Place beat all other places I contacted, even the one that says it will beat by 5%. They wouldn?t beat Pearl?s prices. The bridesmaid dresses were 175-190 in the stores they paid 90. My dress was 800 in most stores and I paid 500. Quite the money saver! I ordered the dresses Jan. 2nd and had the girls dresses by the end of Feb. They were in perfect condition, and exactly what I ordered. My dress came in, in May a month earlier then I was told. Again, it was perfect. I definitely recommend Pearl?s Place to all of you looking to save money! more
