Review content:
Went to purchase a bride's maid dress on a Saturday. There's two desks. You have to sign in at second desk that you don't immediately see. Not very organized. Customer's just standing in circle, not sure what to do. An hour later, my name was called. The consultant did not welcome me or smile..just instructed me to put my address on the sign in sheet. I asked to see two wedding gowns by designers listed on their website and in magazines (one of which I new ahead was in the $4000 range). She immediately said they did not carry the designers. She did not offer to show me something else. So, they lost a future bride who will be purchasing a $4000 dress at Town & Country instead. I was passed off to another girl who measured me over my clothes. Then, I was given an index card with the entire bridal parties' measurements and contact info on the card. Yes, this is their 40 year old system...no computers. Can you imagine if I or they lost this card? Next, you get shuffled to another line to pay. The girl behind me said she came from out of town 3 hours to be fitted and was turned away on another day. They told her she had to be in by 11am on a Saturday, or she would not be serviced again. The girl on the phone would not take an order from a customer from out of town over the phone. There seemed to be some issue that the owner's son, Jordan, was supposed to handle, but refused. After you pay, they give you a list of instructions with bold notes everywhere. Free alterations, yeah right? They run that schedule like the Gestapo. M, W, F 10 - 2pm. Um, I work, and if they are going to turn away a bride who drove 3 hours, surely they'll turn away someone who already paid half in lives 20 minutes away. I will not be getting my dress altered there. Store is too small for the amount of merchandise. Tags are removed, so you can't tell who designed the dress. Understaffed on Saturdays. If it were up to me, I would have ordered the bride's maid dress from the internet and saved money. My waitress at dinner said she waited for 30 minutes and was turned away at 4PM. She bought her dress from Humbug. Will keep you posted.
