Meets the standard! I was having long and continuous problems with my heat pump and air handler. And after a long and trying experience with two other ac companies, a friend of a friend recommended Champion ac. First, a technician named Gerald came and started the process of getting the problems worked out. He let me know what needed to be done to include installing a new circuit board and heat strip. Overall several items needed to be replaced which were still under warranty. Two installers Larry and Andrew installed a new evaporator coil ,thermostat and heat pump. A second technician Brandon came and ironed out a time consuming and difficult wiring issue. So, thanks to the knowledge, professionalism and efficiency of these guys from Champion AC, they noted and rectified all of the numerous issues that I was having with my two stage unit. They set the standard for others to follow. Thank you Champion AC! more

I was referred to champion by a friend of mine and so I called. Gerald was the one who called me and took care of me from that point on. I was skeptical because of all the horror stories you here from people about AC contractors. He told me exactly what the problem was with my unit and gave me several options. He gave to the point, educated answers and made the decision easy and walked me through every step of the way. the job was done very well with excellent follow through. I had many problems with the service from Champion. However, they have now earned my respect and a 5 star rating. It is all because of the wonderful and excellent service of Mr. Gerald Miranda. He came to my house various times and every time he came to my home he was informative and very helpful. Great Job Gerald! You would do well to hire more associates like Gerald. more

Chanpion AC is simply the best of best in the San Antonio Area. Alex came in twice to fix an AC problem, his expertise and great assistance has taken care of the issue. He is truly an excellent tech and explained in detail the AC problems. So far I am very please with the customer service Champion AC provides. We were having cooling problems with our new air conditioner system bought from Champion AC 12/2010. Alex (Service Tech)was sent out for the cooling problem. He was unable to find any problems with the system, said it was running to perfection. Spoke with Tony the(owner) about the problems we were having. He was very concerned, said he would send out his Service Tech, Brandon Jonas, he had confidence in him. Brandon was at our door within less than 30 minutes. He arrived around 5:00 pm and stayed until almost 10:00 pm. He was very professional and polite. He checked everything from top to bottom. Now our Air Conditioner is running great, house is cooling down and so is our mood. Thanks again Tony for the quick action you took to correct this serious problem we had, and thank you Brandon for sticking with it until you found the answer. We will always ask for you for any of our service needs. I do want to thank Debbie (office admin) for getting back to us as needed. more

Initially I was very impressed with the response when my AC went out especially when they sent a technician over on a Friday night to adjust the repair since I had a house full of kids for a sleep over birthday party. However, I found out they left all the old parts in my attic from the technician. He said they would contact me the next week to remove the items because it wasnt the level of work Champion did. Well, I never heard from them and Ive called several times to report the issue and theyve never called back. So if they do work at your house make sure you take the time to inspect the work area to ensure they remove the old parts. Dont be fooled with their over concern with sweeping the floor. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone now. more

Technician, Gerald Miranda, came to our house exactly on time (they said between 10-12 & he came at 10). He was honest about what was wrong with our AC vent, and did not try to get more money out of us (we are both Vets and did not know what compamy we could trust in San Antonio). He only replaced what needed to be replaced and left us with a great impression of Champion AC!!! We will recommend this company and Gerald to everyone we know. Thanks Gerald and Champion AC!!! more

I was unhappy with my prior AC service company so I decided to try Champion AC. Thank God I called your company. The service was great and the technician, Gerald M. was very knowledgable and explained what I needed to do for my system and also recommended I join the service plan for furture calls. I was very impressed with his service and will definately request him if I need another service call in the future. I also will recommend the company to my family and friends!!! I am appreciative and thankful of the quick response by Champion AC. We want to personally thank Tony Martinez and his technicians, Arnold and John, for responding in replacing our AC Heat Pump system in this 102 degree weather. Overall duct work replacement was good however no one from the company was at job location and mistakes were made. It resulted in having to move return air vents and causing additional holes in the ceiling. These were repaired. Sales person would not return calls. Company returned to set dampers but no followup to reseal vents. This resulted in air loss in attic. Our supposed cooling costs were not reduced due to this error. We never would have known that vents needed to be resealed had we not had a breakdown in the actual air conditioner. It took several calls to get someone to return calls and get this problem resolved. Overall poor customer service after the job. They did correct all problems but this happened with allot of effort. more

For quality professional AC service why call anyone else? (I have called many ac vendors before I narrowed it down to Champion- I was NOT disappointed from the very begining Upon calling Champion Debbie quickly and professionally assessed the urgency of our AC problem with the personal involvement of the owner- Tony M. Tony M. sent out within ONE hour one of his most trusted Senior Technicians- Roy S. Roy first impressed us when he arrived on time, as promised. He then quickly and professionally addressed our ac issues. Along the way he patiently helped us understand the work he was doing. Then, within three minutes of departing our home Tony, the company owner personally called to ensure our service needs were fully addressed- what service!!!! By the way my three year-old son Mathhew insisted on not only seeing Roy S. to the door he initiated a handshake "thank you" after his papa explained to him the good work completed Mr. Roy S. We look forward to a long term relationship with Champion and with Roy S- for a new ac unit with Guardian Air technology. While some AC vendors promote their families on the TV commercials Champion promotes and supports San Antonio families by taking a family's worry out of AC issues and by voluntarily serving the families of SA our community through their non-profit work. Champion AC and its' owner- Tony and employees like Roy S walk the talk of "service." more
