I called Champion air when my unit was on the fritz. I knew I needed a new unit and that rebuilding mine again was going just going to nickle and dime me to death. The technician that came out to do the diagnostic fought with the distributor and his boss to get them to open up special for me so I wouldn't have to spend the weekend in 100 degree heat. About an hour later, the installer crew came out (Ray and Carlos), and I was completely blown away by their professionalism, care of my home interior, and meticulous pride in their work. Comparing the unit that was in my house before, I now know the difference between quality AC and "good enough" work. I would highly recommend these guys (Ray and Carlos). Ask for them if they're available. They completely blew my expectations away. more

I called Champion AC about 8:30 in the morning as my AC went down the evening prior, they were very courteous and the AC TECH was at my house before 12:00 noon as promised. I would like to thank Mark with Champion AC for taking the time to get me exactly what i needed when it came to choosing my unit replacement. Mark was the only representative of the five companies that came out that didn't make me feel like i had a used car sales man in my house. He repeated followed up with me every three days and asked me if there was any information or help i needed in making my decision. The other guys just went away when i would not make a decision right then on the spot and some I felt like calling the cops when they would not leave my house. Buying a central AC can be over whelming, especially after seeing what they cost 12 years later after my first replacement. The big pros about Champion; they sent Mark back to my house at the finish of my install. Also, they sent out Charles who is the companies design engineer to make sure i would not have any hassles with the city inspection and make sure his crews did what he asked. As an added bonus, they increased my return and i can feel the difference in cooling form my old unit and they gave me a one year free maintenance agreement. I will say that Champion was not the cheapest in price, but they were no where near the most expensive out there. Some of the prices i got floored me. What Champion AC is asking for in money is less expensive (in my mind) than the value they preform. In closing, if you are looking for a company to replace your system call and ask for Mark at Champion AC. more

I am in the Air Force and just got stationed here in SA. After one month my AC started giving me fits. Not knowing anyone yet, i got online and looked into several companies. After researching the reviews it was evident that all the companies i looked at had some bad reviews with some having more bad than good. Champion AC had very little bad reviews and the ones that were one star had a very good response from the owner. My dad always told me there will always be people in your life that you cannot satisfy. So I have to say my research paid off. A tech named Jesus came out and i thought is was cool on how he always called me Mr. Greg. He found my problem and explained to me that the part he was replacing would get the system back up and running and allow him to further look into my system and insure me that everything else was working fine. He did explain to me that he had a concern about my fan motor but at the time was working. After an hour and a half at my home Jesus left and the unit failed within an hour. I called Champion back out and Jesus' concern about my fan motor was right on. Here is the great part. Jesus called the office and got approval to refund my 299.00 for the first replaced part cause the second was double the first and replaced my fan motor. That was awesome! i highly recommend these guys. I signed up for the preventive Maint. program. more

This one took me by surprise! My elderly 85 year old mom lives in San Antonio. I received a phone call two days ago from a young gentleman named Cesar. He explained to me that my mom had called their company out for AC service and discovered that the repairs would be in the thousands. My mom decided it would be best to just replace the unit and after sitting with Cesar decided she wanted the top of the line system that money could buy. The most honest phone call i believe i ever received came through the line. Cesar had asked my mom if she had children in the area. She said my son is in Dallas. Cesar asked if he could contact me cause he just wanted to explain some technical details that someone would be able to explain if needed at a later date. Cesar then removes himself away from my mom and tells me, "I would love to take 16,000.00 dollars from your mom, but i think the features are just going to confuse her. Also, if an elderly person is going to spend that kind of money i would like a relative involved". he recommended she just get a middle of the line with easy controls so as not to confuse her. 8400.00 was his offer and professional advice. I got on the phone and explained to my mom what we were going to do and Champion AC installed it the next day. All i can say is "WOW"! So many companies would have just taken 16000.00 dollars from my mom and ran. But this company has great people or their training must just be awesome. If you are in the San Antonio area i would recommend them. I tried to get them to come to Dallas, but they said that was a little to far. more

Apparently my air conditioning unit was blowing warm air all day while I was at work. When I arrived home this afternoon my thermostat read 88. Obviously I was in need of an air conditioning repair. I found Champion A/C on the internet and decided to give them a call. Within an hour I had one of their employees knocking at my front door. Richard was very professional and knowledgable. He found the problem within about 20 minutes and then continued to look over the entire system. He informed me that my blower fan motor was drawing high amperage and needed to be replaced. Also the air filter needed to be replaced. Richard's ac repair was very good and didn't take too much time but i'm glad he was thorough. Thank you Champion AC. more

Champion has always been just a call away and worked with me on scheduling times that we agreed upon. Many times the tech arrived early. The tech's have always been respectful and enlightening to why either of my A/C units were needing service. Cost effective and parts in stock on the truck. A couple of times something would need to be ordered and I received a call when part was available for install. I will continue to use Champion and recommend at any opportunity to anyone.
