Poor service in all aspects 9/4/2017

Do not use this company to move. We have troubles at every stage from the pick up to the delivery. My husband was asked to go out and buying moving blanket and plastic wrap for the movers when they picked up because they ran out and they were short of staffs. The delivery has delayed for a week now from the window we agreed up on. And we do not know when they are going to deliver up to this point. We were told that they are behind. They cannot give us a date. We are currently living in an empty house and the school is starting tomorrow. We are unknown of our future. No word on delivery date after a week PASSED from the delivery window. more

Truly dissapointed 8/30/2017

I recently moved from the East Coast to the West Coast. After reading several reviews, and asking for quotes, I picked All State. Even though customer services was very courteous, there was a disconnect between what I was told and what the drivers actually did. That aside, my boxes and bins arrived crushed and broken. The delivery movers were not phased by this and said call the claims dept. They were anxious to go home they said, because they were tired. The claims department rejected my claim. Their contracts are solely to benefit them, and they bear no responsibility for what happens to your stuff. I will never make this mistake again. Being courteous does not make up for the actual job being done right. The only good part was the shipment of my car, which they give to an outside company. They were right on target. I would love to know if any of the people who work there would react differently when they would see their belongings handled with such disregard. more

I am heartbroken and angry. 6/7/2017

1st I tried to update my inventory and was ignored, then went over my estimate and paid a LOT more than quoted. 2nd the moving company was 2 days late for pick up. I'm still waiting for part of the compensation I was promised. Also a box was lost containing some irreplaceable items. I mentioned it to my "customer care" rep within a week of the delivery. I subsequently mentioned it another 5 or 6 times before she finally asked the moving company and was told it's too late to try and find it. I was told I had checked off everything on the checklist... That I NEVER held in my hand. The only piece of paper I was left with at the end of the drop off was the weight ticket from the scale the driver went to on his way to my house. And there was someone else's household goods on the truck. How do I know he didn't charge me for their weight? I feel disgusted and ripped off. I'll be moving again in a year or two. Not only will I not be using this company, I will tell everyone I can not to use this company. I wish I had read the reviews before I paid the huge down payment they required. more

Unsatisfactory 6/1/2017

Here it is 2 months later and my things just VaNISHED?? Hard to believe!!! I refused the $310 they offered me for my things as a "settlement." My passport, dog records, office supplies are worth way more!! Do yourself a favor. Save yourself the heartache and stress. Go with a company that will cherish your items. This company doesn't care about you!!!! more

We had a short window to get moved from NY to CO and All State Van Lines did a great job of getting our belongings to us on time. I would definitely use this company again for future cross country relocation. more

All State Van LInes seems to have a talent for messing up everything they try. My overall move took 6 weeks longer than promised. All State had terrible communications with the actual movers, who no-showed twice on the pickup and were 12 days late on the delivery. Communication in every direction was substandard. I can't stress enough: DO NOT USE ALL STATE! more

1. Despite my belief that they would do the moving, on the day of move I learned moving was subcontracted out to a firm I've never heard of and therefore could not have investigated. 2. The list of articles to move that I sent out was not the list the movers showed up with. -This caused a price increase because I "added" to the list of items to be moved, despite the items being listed on an earlier "version" of inventory. 3. Movers broke itemS even before they got them into moving truck. 4. Cost of move increased three times. 5. A post-delivery conversation with an Allstate agent seemed to indicate that the subcontractor over-billed me. 6. At seven hours after delivery, no-one seemed aware of breakages. 7. Organization seemed lacking. There were about four different people whom you may need to contact, and each only dealt with a specific aspect, without giving clear indication/access numbers for whom should be contacted at what point. 8. When items were delivered the mover prevented me from listing the damages, despite his knowing of them and his taking picture(s). See the "Interstate bill of lading contract" for shipper obligations in regards to damages. Only after I refused to sign off on the contract if I couldn't make notations, did he relent. 9. After all was done, the price was more than two times any quote from other competitors, and almost double Allstate's initial quote. Addendum. On 5-9-17 I received an offer of $100.00 to cover everything; Everything, from broken items to over-billing to attempting to prevent me from following documentation they provided. When I heard the term "Full and Final" during the call, I asked what that meant. Only after asking, was I told that it meant if I accepted their offer I could basically never again speak of my dissatisfaction with my moving experience, even "on social media". bad experience. more

Nightmare move 5/17/2017

This has been by far the worst customer service experience I have had. For a company that claims to be experienced movers I have had nothing but errors and horrible communications. I have spent thousands of dollars and still don't have all my possessions. Don't walk away from this company.... RUN!!! If there was a negative star option I would choose it. more

Re; Allstate Van Lines Relocation, LLC Cost of move increased three times. 1. day of move. Move was subcontracted out (without notice) to a firm I've never heard of and therefore could not have investigated. 2. (this theoretically will result in approximately 1/80 th of my total bill being refunded.) 5. At seven hours after delivery, four different people were supposed to have known of or indicated on a form, the breakage, and yet a follow-up call from an Allstate agent seemed to indicate there was no mention of it on my account. 6. Organization seemed lacking. There were about four different people whom you may need to contact, and each only dealt with a specific aspect, without giving clear indication/access numbers for whom should be contacted at what point. 6. After all was done, the price was more than two times any quote from competitors, and about double Allstate's initial quote. As a final opinion, I would suggest that one NEVER uses Allstate Van Lines Relocation, LLC. more

DON'T USE THEM 4/18/2017

We hired this company to move a small amount of our Dad's items from TN to CO. Supposed to be a 7-12 day move, but it took 7 weeks for us to get the items. They charged us the full amount of the move, less $250. Communication was also less than stellar. Dad died while waiting for his items, but they didn't much care. There were also issues with weights when they picked up the items. Had to have them re-weigh the truck before they loaded. We do not recommend them. Only giving one star, as that is the lowest option. Would be zero, if possible. more

All State Van Lies 3/31/2017

7/1/16: Move - Services offered were not correctly provided; binding fee and estimate given, paid, then ASVLR required a second binding fee after signed agreement. While some of the issues do stem from the physical service we received from the carrier, Smart Moving, Inc., All State Van Lines Relocation failed to provide us the full services they offered to us upon signing our Moving Estimate. Additionally, they rushed us to sign said estimate to ensure we'd get our June 30th pickup date that we'd paid twice to reserve (e-documents that never declared or named Smart Moving, Inc. as the carrier) - the first with the original Moving Estimate for the $2100 binding fee, the second time when they essentially held our relocation ransom unless we paid an additional binding fee(???) of $500+. As a moving broker, they should never have required two separate binding estimates - the original, and then a revision to said estimate. As far as being apologetic, a representative from their resolutions department by the name of Chris Gonzalez did contact me following the numerous complaints I filed with ASVLR. When he inquired what they could do to "set things right" due to my dissatisfaction with their service, I responded that a refund of our deposit would be appropriate. Mr. Gonzalez replied that that was not reasonable, and then offered to raise their original amount offered from $100 to $250. I, in turn, replied that that, too, was absolutely absurd and more of an insult than a "gesture of good faith" and that an offer of $1000 would be closer to acceptable. He said that he would speak with his management to see what they could do and then get back to me, and I have yet to hear back from anyone regarding a more realistic resolution. 3/31/17: Insurance policy claim still pending, got sick of waiting on ASVLR to actually offer a satisfactory resolution ($250 is absolutely NOT acceptable; we paid over $2600 for binding estimate fees, alone). Now officially filing a complaint through the BBB; next step will be litigation. more

Our move was not what I had expected. I thought by talking to the person that took my order that All States was a moving van company. I cannot believe that they hired a couple of guys who were not in any uniforms and brought our possessions in a uhaul truck pulling a trailer. Things were not wrapped and just shoved into the truck. Also they left items that should have not been left in our storage unit in Salt Lake Utah. The driver ran into the roof corner of our house and when bringing in a bed they caught our gutter system and pulled it off the mounts. I will not be referring any one to this company. more

Harassment - horrible company 3/1/2017

This company has called and emailed me daily and refuse to take me off of thier call list. I ask politely each time they call if they can stop calling me as I no longer need thier services. I didn't even submit my information to them in the first place. Nonetheless, they always say "well you must have spoken to another business because this is my first time calling you". They ALL literally say that SAME thing word for word. If they contact me again I WILL report them. This has been going on way too long. You can't make someone take services they don't want!! more

Honest guys 1/17/2017

They were not the most inexpensive option but they facilitated all of the services I needed. The gentleman that gave me the ball park price for my move did a great job assessing how much it would cost and he was up front with me about it. Honesty goes a long way with me. I have moved a few times across the country this was one of my better experiences. They did arrive a couple of days early for the delivery but it wasnt a problem I was already at my new home in Boca raton. more

Terrible Mover 1/14/2017

Not only did All State do a terrible job on my move (costing twice as much as promised, sent only to men who broke my piano) now they will not respond to claims for damage. I have contacted them several times and cannot get any response. They are a terrible mover and will not keep their word. more
