I went in wanting to do something drastic with my long hair and I came out with a short sophisticated haircut that I love. I can do so many different styles and looks. Victor took the time to gather information about what I wanted and was successful with the finished product. My family and friends were surprised with the change and they really liked the new look. I chose to go to Victor after reading all the rave reviews on Citysearch and I was not disappointed! He is very friendly and personable and made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. I got a great haircut for a great price, and will definitely go back to him again. more

From the moment we first spoke on the phone to make an appointment, Victor was extremely cordial and professional. I first chose Victor because the salon was near my work place and I could go after work. He sat me down for a consultation so there weren't any crazy, bad surprises later. Best Haircut I've ever had 11/25/2004

I just got the best haircut by Victor Hugo! He is very personable, makes you feel very comfortable and at ease instantly. I didn't even know exactly what I wanted done with my hair, but he somehow read my mind and gave me the best cut I've ever had. Precise like a plastic surgeon ! 11/21/2004

I discovered Victor Hugo through City Search after my move to west coast from Boston. I live in Newport Beach but did not want to settle down for any hair stylist. It was worth the drive ! Victor is really very personable, will listen to your needs and will advise you professionally in a thoughtful way. His cuts have the precision of a plastic surgeon and very reliable. I should add that he offers free parking. The cost was modest given the exceptional hair cut and style he was able to deliver. I would recommend Victor wholeheartedly to both men and women in need of a new change in their hair style or simply a very good hair cut at a reasonable cost. Victor Hugo is one of the best stylists around! He's amazingly talented and super friendly! His prices are VERY reasonable and he definitely knows what he's doing. I can't recommend him enough! I went in with very blah hair and came out with gorgeously colored and perfectly cut hair. After leaving his salon I had strangers stop to tell me how gorgeous my hair was. He's just amazing! He's very down to earth and makes you feel comfortable and welcome in his salon. He takes the time to listen and figure out what style is right for you and what style will flatter your features the most. Did I mention he is amazingly talented? First Timer 11/11/2004

Finding a hairdresser in a new city is one of the most painful tasks. Its difficult to find someone whos not terribly expensive yet still cuts and colors your hair so it looks nice and fits your lifestyle and personality. I found Victor Hugo on this site and I must say I can see why his rating is so high. He's extremely friendly, makes his customers feel at home, and really listens to what you say so as to give you the perfect haircut. I feel like my hair color is now rich instead of streaked and that the cut is fun yet easy to manage. He's the best I've found and I highly recommend everyone to experience his expertise!!!! After the first hand shake, I knew Victor would be someone who would take care of my hair for a long time. Then he did his magic. He listened to my ideas, and then gave me what he thinks is best. I trusted his expertise and I was right! He got the perfect colour, the right shape for my face, and was extremely personable. He is such a down to earth kind of guys with just the right artistic edge. We even talked about astrology! You'll love Victor if you were like me, or stars like Jennifer Connelly, or Julienne Moore.. Victor is a genius!! I went in for a cut & color and my only requirement was that I had to be able to put my hair in a ponytail. He listened to what I wanted and made my hair gorgeous! The color compliments my skin and is brilliantly shiny! The cut looks fabulous as well! All that and the price is very reasonable and Victor is so welcoming, fun, friendly, and professional! im glad that i did my research prior to having this hair appointment with Victor Hugo....and it turned out SUPERBLY WELL!!!! Very professional, and talented with his craft. good rapport (for 1st time customer like me) he gave me a good cut (just like what i described to him) ,good listener the moment you sat on that salon chair.i learned quite few hair tricks along the way. i would definitely give this guy 10/10 for his work and betcha im gonna come back after 3 months for another hair boost. thanks Victor,you're the MAN! ;) more

I am thrilled to have found Victor! After searching for 6 years in L.A. for someone who could do my hair beautifully, make the experience very pleasant, do the job quickly, AND do it at a price I can afford, I've found the perfect stylist....Victor Hugo......he's fabulous with color, and he's great with long hair which is a must for me! He's got an artist's eye. I love the personal touch....every step of the way is with Victor personally. He's very professional, but also very friendly and fun. I had a great experience going to Victor - he gave me a new cut and highlights that I love. After reading that he'd done work for major magazines like Elle & Vanity Fair, I was worried that he'd be snobby, but he turned out to be totally friendly. Victor is a true artist. Hell transform your limp and lifeless mane into fabulous, signature dos tailored to your individual features. Cant say that about many hair stylist out there used to giving their clients the same cookie-mold hairstyles. Everyone has unique physical traits and colorings fortunately, Victor can bring that out of you. Personally, my long locks have been my crowning glory; something I thought epitomized femininity. But Victor showed me its still possible to exude sex appeal with a fabulous cleavage-sweeping, layered look that ultimately reveals more of you rather than the hair. It was great to watch him work. No high-tech equipments necessary, the skills and precision are all in his hands. That kind of talent is innate, I think. And the individual attention you get is beyond reproach. Very impressed and satisfied 10/10/2004

Its been a month since Victor did my hair, and the color and cut still look great. The color he put in (my natural brown) has stayed, no fade, and it got rid of the red I had in my hair. My hair is still shiny and it looks healthy, even after a month of having my hair done. His customer service is awesome. I've had experiences where I go to a salon, and I'm either neglected, or the stylist is working on someone else... and I end up stuck at the salon for 2 or more hours. Victor only took care of me, and I was out in an hour and a half. His hair care tips worked with my hair, and I can trust him to do my hair again, and hopefully, for the long run. more

victor is fabulous! 10/10/2004

i met victor last weekend when he cut my hair. i rambled on for about 5 minutes about how my hair was kindof ""eh and uumph"" and it needed a little more ""vaa vaa zip zooooom"". he knew exactly what i wanted and gave me a gorgeous cut. i too am hoping to book victor as my wedding day hairstylist and makeup artist. victor pretty much rocks! more
