the best hair stylist i've ever met 9/29/2004

Today is the first time i've met with Victor. He is such a professional with a great care to his clients. I've had many hairstylists in prestigious hair salons before in all different cities (SF, Phila, NYC). And Victor has topped all of them. As a matter of fact, he is so good that I just booked him to be my makeup artist/hair stylist for my wedding. I Looked Fabulous at the Conference! 9/29/2004

I had to give a talk at this big conference and my hair was in a bad state! I came across Victor's website and went to see him. He was fabulous! He took my ratty hair and made it look absolutely beautiful! The highlights and cut he gave me are terrific - now everywhere I go people compliment me on my hair. Victor took time with me to explain what he was doing and we worked out future plans for my hair - I felt very comfortable with him and trusted him completely. He has such a welcoming personality - being there was fun! My color is fabulous and I got it for only a fraction of the cost of some snotty Beverly Hills salon. Best Color 9/26/2004

Victor is such a find in LA - best color I've got in years, in either LA or New York. I've received lots of compliments on the color. Victor was attentive and spent a great deal of time with me - he even cancelled the following appointment (I had arrived late) so that he didn't compromise the job. He also did my cut which was pretty simple and it was fine - his real strength is definitely color and I would recommend him highly. And he's reasonable! Victor was absolutely fantastic. I had a 'self highlighting disaster' and was desperate for an expert correction. But I also couldn't afford what most stylist were quoting me. Victor was a true find. Not only did he offer me the best ,most reasonable price to fix the damage I had done, but he also really listened to what I wanted and worked with me to get it just right. The result was amazing. I left feeling like I had gotten exactly what I wanted and will definitly go back- as well as send anyone I know to see him. Pros: Highly Skilled, Experienced, Reasonable Prices more

Victor was not only one of the nicest stylist I've ever had, but also gave me a great cut. He explained to me everything he was doing to my hair and why, without being pretentious at all. He has a very creative style, and was able to give me a more edgy look to match my personality. It was easy to see that he had more than 20 years of experience under his belt; he is a true artist! And to top it off, he was the most reasonably priced cut I've ever had. I would definitely refer him to anyone. Pros: inexpensive, creative & experience, nice guy more

I just got my hair done with Victor and I must say, it was such a GREAT experience! Victor was receptive to my requests was able to combine them with his expertise to come up with a beautiful new look. It's clear that he has tons of experience (he's been doing this for over 20 years) but is young and has such a fun, up-to-date perspective. I've been to several salons in Boston as well as in NYC and LA, but Victor Hugo provides the highest quality service with NONE of the pretentiousness and sky high prices. Victor Hugo cut my hair for the first time earlier this week, and I am extremely happy with how I look. Not only did I receive an incredible haircut -- by far the best I've gotten since moving to L.A. over a year ago -- but the experience at Victor's salon was pleasant and relaxing. He is not only a highly talented cutter, he is also genuinely friendly and knowledgeable. I very much appreciated the fact that he rinsed out my hair after cutting it, so that I didn't go home with hair all over myself. I give Victor Hugo my highest recommendation. Best cut for the bucks 7/23/2004

I found Victor on CitySearch and I'm very much impressed. I've been to the Beverly Hills salons and I feel like I've been getting ripped off! Victor is the best you'll get for the money you spend. Plus, he's having a special and it's totally worth it. Stylists always try to give me a edgy hair cuts. But Victor really made me look and feel sexy. Trust me, I'm going to see him again in month and half. more

I just moved to LA and needed to find a new hair stylist - I found Victor on Citysearch and he is every bit as great as the other reviews say. I thoroughly recommend him - he is very knowledgable and does a lovely cut after talking it over with you. He is also a very friendly and sincere person. I had no wait time and have a beautiful cut! A Creative Artist indeed! 7/22/2004

I've gone to Victor for a few years now, and have recommended him to friends. They LOVE him! He's great with long and short hair, loves to creat different, funky styles, And is absolutely the best with color. I've gone from burgundy to chili pepper to a brilliant orange, and the color is alwasy so brilliant and fun! (Almost as brilliant and fun as Victor himself:) He's a great person who always does a superb job! more

i was desperate to get my hair colored because my roots were horrible. i searched for awhile to find someone i was comfortable going to, and found Victor Hugo. My hair turned out fantastic! I was searching for a new stylist, and I'VE FOUND HIM! Victor is great! He has a great sense of what your hair can do, and asks lots of questions about what you're looking for, how you see yourself, etc... which leads to a great cut for you (not what someone else thinks you SHOULD look like). What's more, he thinks long hair is great on women, and cuts to your hair's best advantage (so it moves and swings). My search is over! Pros: great cut, convenient location more

Victor really LISTENS. He will take the time to truly relate to and understand all the nuances and peculiarites you have about your hair. Then, he has the skill and knowledge to give you exaclty what you want. He also has great tips for how to make your hair look its best on an ongoing basis when you're not just walking out of the salon. more

The best Kept Secret 6/21/2004

Victor Hugo, has to be one of the best hair dressers this city has to offer. I have been withness to his magic for over 20 years. He has a great perosnality and loves to make you beautiful not by what he wants but allways gives you what you want. He also is a great colorist. His prices are great for the work he does they should be higher, hes is the best kept secret that soon every body will know about. more
