I have avoided recommending Victor for fear that I would never get into him, but I am just always so happy with my hair after he colors it! He really listens to what you are looking for and makes highlights look so natural. He knows how to avoid the striped look, which was really important to me. My partner and I visited LA while passing through on our multi-month vacation. We contacted Victor in advance and he was able to get us in. He gave both of us great cuts and great advice about our hair. If we lived in LA Victor would be our guy!! more

AMAZING 10/1/2005

Hands down best stylist I have ever had. Victor is not only an extremely talented hairdresser, but he's also a great, fun, and friendly person. I constantly get complimented on my hair everywhere I go (never have had that with other stylists), and can honestly say that there is not one day that I have a bad hair day. Hair For The Whole Family 9/25/2005

Victor Hugo is the only man that touches the hair of my siblings and me because he is the only person we trust with our dark locks. I live in the Midwest, my brother lives on the East coast, and my sister lives in Southern California. Whenever we are all in Los Angeles, we make a special visit to Victor Hugo so he can do our hair and send us on our way. Excellent! 9/21/2005

I've been going to Victor for almost a year now. He is terrific. The space (Mijo) is very laid-back -- no attitude at all. Victor always makes you feel comfortable. His cuts and especially his color are excellent. The prices are more than reasonable. I recommend him highly. Pros: quality of work, atmosphere, cost more

Victor Rocks 9/9/2005

Victor is the consumate professional. He is relaxed and friendly and makes one feel welcomed. I went to him to fix a very bad cut that I got elsewhere so my hair was quiet short to begin with; and he didn't have much to work with. However, he really came through with a great businessman's cut which is what I wanted. Pros: Down to Earth, Professional, Excellent Value more

I just moved to LA and lucky me, I found the best stylist on my first try! Victor REALLY knows hair, basically EVERYTHING about it right down to the science. I have been getting highlights for around 8 years, and TRUST me, this guy is better than the others. Not only does he do great color, but he's a really great guy and FUN to talk to. You won't be hiding behind Cosmo to avoid the conversation, I promise! Go see him, I guarantee you'll be as happy as I am. You'll be wishing you'd found sooner........ more

Simply the Best 9/5/2005

I went to Victor after reading all the rave reviews on citysearch, and I can't tell you how happy I am that I did. Prior to seeing Victor, every other time I've colored my hair, my hair ends up completely dried out and just plain dull. It's been a month since I last did my hair with Victor, and my hair is just as soft and vibrant as the day I had it done. As if that's enough, Victor's prices are reasonable, especially for the value you get, and he's extremely accommodating with his hours and is open late. I'm in NY right now and am tempted to make a special trip to LA just to get my hair done. Pros: evening hours, affordable, great value Cons: absolutely none more

I have been going to Victor now for two years and to say the least I LOVE him! I moved to CA 4 years ago and before I found him I went through a slew of disappointing cuts and colors. My experience has been that stylist see curly hair and they just want to go crazy, not my dear Victor. He listened. He did what I asked and when I didnt know what to do he was creative to my taste. We have changed my hair to just about every color that my skin type with allow and every time I have been thrilled. As for the cuts he just gets it every time. I know that finding a stylist that you TRUST can be scary and frustrating, but the good news is you do not have to look any further, you my dear friends have found the master!!! more

Victor is definately one of a kind.........Hair is a statement and Victor helps you make it. I've had long hair , short hair , Red, Blonde, Brown, Highlights, Lowlights and everything in between. Plus simply the best cuts I've ever had. Victor has been my hairdresser for 5 years now......I was kinda tossed on him by another hairdresser and we immediately related to each other and I would follow him anywhere. He's like one of those best kept secrets in this town and I really don't want to share him but he is soooooo good! and the word is already out. He is always accomadating , always professional and works magic with any type of hair. Up on all the latest styles, cuts , color....can work from a picture or a description ....He can so anything....VICTOR IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!! Victor was born to do hair!! True talent!! 8/17/2005

Being a model, my career depends on how I look. One bad haircut could mean no work for months. Thank God for Victor! I rely on Victor for EVERYTHING to do with my hair. I used to spend $550 for a haircut and highlights that didn't last as long nor the quality of the cut as good as Victor's. Not only are his cuts and colors amazing, and reasonably priced, but he is always a pleasure to talk to. I wouldn't recommend anyone else! And, I ALWAYS look forward to getting my ""do!"" Victor did my make up for my wedding. I was exactly what I wanted and everyone said I looked great. We did a consult about a month before hand, and I was completely confident that Victor would do a great job. he also knows about what kind of make up to wear in front of different types of cameras. Victor Changed my life!! 8/9/2005

I had the worst hair color done at some okay Salon... ""Carlton"" Yuk! Talk about brassy and overdeveloped. I thought about going back to have corrective color done... then a friend turned me on to Victor. I was going on a date with someone successful and needed to look my best. I left the salon looking like I was going to be the next centerfold! I thought I looked amazing... but my dates' thought's were something like -jaw dropping, wanting to show me off, and calling me a ""knock out!"" Pow! That's EXACTLY what I wanted!! Greatest make-up artist of them all 8/7/2005

I was having the most difficult time in finding someone to help me learn how to match my make-up with my clothing. I was told of Victor Hugo by a West Hollywood friend that he would be the one. While out dining at ""The Abbey"" I ran into Mr Hugo, and I had to speak with him. I made an appoint with him; and the rest is history. I was thrilled with what he tought me. Victor Hugo gave me the best hair cut two years ago and he continues to give exceptional haircuts. He is the first person to highlights my hair and I get compliments all the time. I highly recommend Victor Hugo Hair if you want a great haircut which will make you stand out in the crowds. more

Absolutely Fabu! 8/7/2005

I was looking for a new stylist, mine retired, when i came across his website. I was a little nervous, as I am everytime I have to look for a new stylist, and Victor was fantastic! He did a consultation before he started with my hair, and wow! Not only was the cut perfect, the color was EXACTLY what I wanted. As the days have gone by, my hair is still healthy and vibrant (thanks to Victor's advice on how to treat my hair) and I love it even more! Oh! And I have long hair, so prices can get pretty outrageous ($150-$200 just for 1 color) and Victor's was VERY reasonable. Thanks Victor! Pros: personable, knowledgeable, reasonable price more

Victor's services were very professional. He addressed the texture of my hair, it's length, and it's color. His consultation was thorough and percise and I was pleased with his method of working. He gave me a new trendy look and I feel better about myself and my image. The color he used was super spectacular and my highlights are amazing. Finally--my hair looks good in LA! 8/5/2005

After being disappointed by so many hair stylists in LA, I was so excited to find Victor and his amazing way with hair. My hair has never looked so good! Victor's very friendly and able to cut my so that it looks its best. My cuts hold wonderful shape over time, too. more
