Terrible Service at Factory Direct Tukwila Washington 12/28/2011

Funiture Direct in Tukwila Washington should be avoided by anyone expecting real customer service. Showroom service by ""Richard"" was awesome. After I bought a couple thousand dollars worth of merchandise, the trouble showed up. The mattress I bought fell apart in the first 2 months. When I complianed they said they would exchange, but when I got there, only higher priced mattresses were available outside the manufacturer product I originally bought (I was NOT buying THEIR product again). I put up another $300 to get another mattress, and I was told they would deliver and exchange on the next WEDNESDAY, and that they would call 2 days before delivery. By Wednesday, no one had called me so called I called them. Was told that there would be a delivery between 2 & 6 PM. Then, they called me back and said there had been a mistake, no delivery had been scheduled. This was after I had taken time off from work. They are famous for telling you after the sale ""we're sorry, there is nothing we can do"". This has happened for the last time with me. I will spend no more money there, and would NOT recommend this store to anyone at any time, for product or service. more

Bad Repair Services 10/24/2011

well, 7 months after buying a set of a sofa and an ottoman, for some reason the ottoman went flat and something broke on the sofa when i sat down 2 weeks ago, I took the piece to Factory Direct and they told me that they will give me a call, the a few days passed by and they told me that the sofa was ready and the Ottoman will take about 3 weeks. To make the long story short, i picked up the sofa and to my surprise, NOTHING WAS DONE ON IT, the only difference was it was full of dust , THAT is . I am about to call them and request to talk to the Manager, is there anyone that QC (quality control) their work more

What a WONDERFUL place to Buy! 10/8/2010

My husband I and recently purchased a couch from Factory Direct and we are so pleased with our experiance there! Our Sales person was Tino, and he was the most wonderful sales man! He wasnt pushy and gave us time to browse at our own pace while still checking to make sure that we were finding everything ok. He directed us back to where they had some couches that were actually on sale and we bought almost the first one we sat in! It was perfect! We put over half down and financed the rest which took 5 minutes for the application, and within 10 we had an answer. Tino drew up all the paper work for us while we lounged around and brought it to us to sign. The girl who finished helping us was very quick and dilagent. We picked it up the next day in perfect condition. They even helped tie it down for us! We will definatly be going back after our awesome experiance there! If your looking for a salesman... TINO is the guy! more

HONEST AND FRIENDLY SALESMAN 7/12/2010

I WENT INTO FACTORY DIRECT LAST MONTH AND BOUGHT 2 RECLINERS 1 LOVESEAT AND 2 END TABLES. I WAS HELP BY A VERY HELPFUL YOUNG MAN NAMED CAMERON. HE ASKED SEVERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT WE WAS LOOKING FOR AND IN SECONDS WE FOUND THE FURNITURE WE NEEDED. AFTER FINDING THE FURNITURE CAMERON EXPLAINED THEIR FURNITURE PROTECTION PLAN IN AN EASY TO UNDERSTAND WAY. I ENJOYED HAVING HIM AS MY SALESMAN I STRONGLY SUGGEST USING HIM AS YOUR SALESMAN, HE'S REAL, HONEST, SUPER FRIENDLY, AND HAS A STRONG GO GETTER ADDITUDE. WATCH THE EXTENDED WARRANTY 1/21/2010

When I purchased a sectional at this store, I was offered the 5 year extended warranty which came with a kit of cleaners. I purchased this warranty after being told my sectional would be safe for 5 years. 18 months later, the frame on the sectional has a broken spring. I contacted Factory Direct and was told they would not fix or replace the item because it wasn't an accident. Wanda, the customer service person, told me that it was in the fine print on my warranty papers that ONLY accidents were covered. They refused to service my sectional. more

Extended Warranty 1/18/2010

I went to this store after having bad issues with Evan's Rooms Today. The salesperson was great, not clingy. He was helping 3 different sets of customers and you never felt that he was putting you off to try making a bigger sale. A year later, I couldn't find my reciept and I called them and they were very helpful and treated me as if I was still coming in to make a purchase. Very very courteous. Now having problem with furniture Wanda told me I have to bring it up there or pay them $30 for them to pick it up and then pay to have it redelivered. Also, told me that I may be without a sofa and loveseat for up to 6 weeks. This is all I have to sit on in my house. Guess the floor for us. Shop at Bob Mills, I heard they take care over the customers. Pros: Great Customer service to get you to buy the furniture Cons: Extended Warranty SUCKS more

I was extremely disappointed 10/28/2009

I saw a desk I was interested in purchasing at Factory Direct. When I went to pick it out, the salesperson advised they were out and should be getting some on one of their trucks this week. I called a few days later and the salesman advised they had one and would hold it for me. I took off work an hour early to pick up the desk and when I got there, they didn't have it. From what I got from the salesman, they hadn't received any (not the salesman I talked to over the phone, he had already left). Needless to say, I'll never go back. Cons: Waste of time. more

Excellent Service/Reasonable Price! 10/16/2009

We did not intend to stop here but seen it on the way to another furniture. We decided to see what they had available. The salesman asked what we were looking for ... we told him ... and he said if we are interested in anything to let him know. He then went back to the counter and waited. He provided discounts on the furniture's tag price. The business transaction was quick and smooth. Delivery was set up for the next evening after 6pm. The delivery men showed up at 4:15pm (almost 2 hours early). Both were courteous and professional. They placed the furniture where we needed it and were on their way. I RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE. And was disappointed to see all the negative reviews. Pros: Salesman did not hound us to buy anything. He gave us space. Cons: Need a wider selection. more

Highly recommended 3/2/2009

We had a very good experience with Factory Direct. The salesmen were great, were honest and 100% wanting to give us the best deal. The delivery people were very nice, set up the furniture to my specifications and were very nice. In fact they called early this morning and said that they would be here between 3 pm and 5 pm, they called and said that they were running early and asked if they could deliver early. They came 1/2 hour earlier than the first quote and I am extremely pleased with this. I would recommend this everyone!!!! Pros: everything from the sales people to the delivery people Cons: Nothing more

horrible 12/8/2008

The furniture we got is great! But the service is absolutely horrible!!! My delivery time was to be set for 2-4 then they called and moved it to 6-8. At 805 they weren't there so I called. The customer service rep I talked to said ""They are only 5 minutes late!!!"" Well, no, they were acually 6 hours and 5 minutes late. I then told her to get a hold of the delivery person and cancel.. At 9:40PM, the delivery guy called and said he was on his way. Then, on top of that we didn't get our bill and I callled and the customer service rep I talked to said that it wasn't her fault. My parents had the same issue with them. I will NEVER use them again! more

My bed didn't fit... 11/4/2008

My husband and I bought a bed from these people and we took it home with us, cause it would have cost more to have it delivered than it was for the bed itself. We bought the bed on a Saturday evening. Get the bed home (our old bed was already gone, we gave it away) and go to put the bed together and the frame is the wrong size. We bought a queen bed and got a king frame. So now the foot board is is like 3 feet away from our bed. We didn't go back because it's an hour drive out of our way to get to the store...so now we are stuck with a bed that is too big. :o( Cons: cheap quality, poor customer service, pushy sales people more

Factory Direct Furniture 9/21/2008

I purchased furniture about 2000 dollars from factory direct last weekend. They were suppose to deliver the furniture on the following saturday, I was told that someone would call me from 8-11am to tell me my delivery time. About 12:45 i called because i had heard nothing. No one seemed to no what was going on.. the rest of the story is pretty much repetive i called they lied. So finally at 10:45pm i was told to call the delivery guy my self becuase the store was closing and he wouldnt answer his phone. So Sunday i asked to have my delivery fee taken off and you would have thought that i asked for my furniture for free. I returned the furniture, never made it to my house and will never buy from there again. Pros: Tyson the salesman was very nice more

Worse Customer Service EVER!!!!!!! 5/18/2008

I bought a matching love seat & couch from Factory Direct which is owned by Mathis Brothers.Only one month goes by and guess what one of the seats breaks There are reclining seats on the ends of the couch. So we called Factory Direct and say we'll pick your couch up and have our people work on it. They said it should only take 1 to 1.5 weeks to fix and if they can't fix it we'll get you a new one. So here we are at week 3 and we are feed up. We go down to Factory direct in person to see if we can get a clear answer. Nope, we get the same old song and dance. They say they have a lot of furniture and their repair person is not there so they have no idea where he is at as far as repairs. OK give me a break.. that store only has ONE repair guy???? and then to tell me he doesn't keep some kind of log as to which piece of furniture is next to be repaired.. What is he aimlessly wondering around in his shop just picking whatever one he wants to fix? So we get a hold of the sales rep who sold us the couches in the first place. He goes and talks to the ""Sales Manager"" and he can't tell us anything more about our couches, so we start asking for a rebate or discount or something because this experience has became so ridiculous.. but no he can't do that ... So here I am going off about Mathis Brother and Factory Direct.. I would not buy furniture from them ever again.. but there is one problem they have a huge Monopoly on the furniture business in OKLAHOMA so where else can I go and buy furniture for such a low price.. Trust me I spent practically my whole Saturday going to other furniture stores and either they we way to expensive or did not have what we wanted because they only carried a couple of things. So if any one has any advised on Mathis Brothers or Factory Direct and how to get my problem solved.. or has had a bad experience as well let me know. Salesmen Liars! NOT EVEN DESERVE A STAR! 3/21/2008

We went to Factory direct after Mathis Brothers didn't have the sectional sofe we wanted. Lucky, Fatory direct had it in stock so they asked us to put 100.00 down for them to hold it untill the following week since we didn't have the cash then. Went back in less than a week to pay off the sofa and we had scheduled the delivery for two days after. The day before the delivery, someone named Jeff, called us saying that the sofe WAS NOT IN STOCK!! We immediatly told them to cancel our order and we would go in for a refund. We get to the store and one of the managers, Robert, told us that ""even if the system shows the item in stock, it doesn't mean is in stock,"" WHAT THE HECK! So their inventory is not accurate! The sales person was, according to this ""manager"" new, and he didn't know how to check the inventoy. Well, Jeremy, did check with another ""supervisor"" and he confirmed that the item was in stock. We were promised that we were gonna get our money back with 5 days, it has been 5 days and nothing, our crime WAS TO PAY CASH!! This store is patethic, from sales person, to rude cashiers who chew gum while talking to the customers, to the arrogant managers! WILL NEVER GO BACK BECAUSE OF LIARS LIKE THESE SALESMEN! At the end it was for the better, we got an AWESOME sofa @ another store. Don't buy anything from these LIARS! THEY DO NOT EVEN DESERVE A STAR!! more

Factory Direct Furniture 1/5/2008

I am not going to type a really long story saying my experience with Factory Direct Furniture. All I am going to say is what they did was illegal. We complained for what they did and they did not satisfy us with what they were going to give us in return of everything they did to us. We wish not to go back to Factory Direct Furniture and we wish that you wouldn't either. All they are is a big waste of money, time, and space. All they care about is money. DO NOT GO TO FACTORY DIRECT FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My rating above is not true. One star is WAY to many. more

Poor customer service 8/6/2007

We bought 2 bedroom sets costing over $3000. Salesmen were misleading as to what was included with the bedroom sets, in fact they lied about it as we asked them specifically about it before purchasing sets and both the salesman and his superviser said it was included. Then merchandise was delivered with missing parts. They called to tell us about delivery time but did not inform us of the missing parts even though they had 3 phone numbers to reach us at. We had to accept it and wait until they get the parts to finish assembling our purchase; or we will have to pay 10% plus delivery costs for them to take it back. Be VERY careful when purchasing anything from them as they do not believe in timely, honest customer service or in making things right with the customer. Money seems to be only thing they are concerned about as they got you coming and going. more
