I was required to submit 3 different times/dates for service. In the week prior to the first of my 3 dates, I emailed and left a voice mail (since I couldn't reach a live person - during working hours) asking which date had been selected. No one responded -- that is until the morning of the first date when I rec'd an email notifying me that another date had been selected. This was infuriating - having to schedule work meetings and time off around a 'possible' service date and then not finding out until the day of - horribly unprofessional. I wouldn't use your service again for this alone.
But then let's read the emails sent with instructions - at least have someone proof that could catch the typos and abuse of proper English!
Then the guys show up - courteous and professionally dressed - but nit picky. I wanted to have the 3rd bedroom as the free kids bedroom. It's clearly a bedroom (still has the kids wallpaper on it from previous owner), it's the smallest room in the house. But I use it for my computer room. So, because it didn't have a bed in it, they wouldn't consider it a bedroom. So they cleaned the larger bedroom instead. Really???? C'mon!!!!
And then there's the service itself. Never heard of this type of process before, don't know if it works. But I do know I have to work much harder than other carpet cleaning services as I have to "vacumn the heck" out of the carpet prior to service and then move all the furniture (again!) to thoroughly vacumn after the process. Never again!
RESPONSE FROM Crystal Crystal Carpet Care:
Thanks you for your comments.
The vast majority of customers love the light, entertaining comedic tone of our pre-service email.
Yes we do strongly suggest that customers follow the standards of the Carpet & Rug Institute. Pre-Vacuum the carpet to remove the maximum amount of insoluble soiling prior to applying moisture to the carpet. This is a state of the art carpet cleaning convention, not always applied or forwarded by all service providers.
As to vacuuming after the cleaning process - vacuum at your next scheduled vacuum. That could be in a week, a month, or year. Does not matter. For your home, immediate post vacuuming was not required. Perhaps we were not clear about that all of the emails and service information.
To the FREE Kid's Room, as explained in the literature, quotation, and pre-service emails... ALL FREE Kid Size / Small Bedrooms must be furnished with a bed in place, otherwise we charge $7.00 to clean the room. Bedroom converted to an office is still a bedroom. However, it not meet the advertised standard of FREE Bedroom with NO BED IN PLACE.
Servings homes with highly exhilarated individuals at early hours of the morning, or any hour of the day, is challenging. Particularly when said individuals interrupt, interfere, and request FREE and unreasonable service additions.
Thank you for the opportunity.
