Jake from A-1 couldn't have been more reliable, accurate, professional or helpful through 2 attempts to salvage my 10 year old AC system. For each repair he was prompt, courteous, explained what needed to be fixed and why and went over the pricing before starting the work. He was extremely honest and knowledgeable on all aspects of the repair and when I finally had to break down and replace it, he was there as quick as possible and I was back up and running same day. I would definitely call A-1 and ask for Jake. Highly recommended service. more

We requested a service call for our air conditioning system that was not working properly. It had not worked well the previous summer, and we had delayed the need to have it looked at. A technician showed up ON TIME one day after the call, as requested. He determined that our older system was under-sized (no surprise) and that the duct system was improperly installed. He provided three different options for addressing the problems, and we chose to bite the bullet and replace the aging system. Since it was in mid April prior to the summer heat, they were able to arrange and begin the installation the same day! Super service. The installers were courteous, careful with protecting our property, and very clean. The new system (heat unit in the attic and AC compressor outside), was installed the same day along with a change in the thermostat location. They returned the following day to complete and check the system to assure that it was working properly. Overall, it was as simple as possible, very timely, and not disruptive to our life even for one day! They also became best friends with our dog! This is a major expenditure, and I could not have been more delighted with the service. Thanks. more

We noticed a leak in our ceiling upstairs and found that it was coming for the A/C unit. We called A-1 American and they came out the same day. Jake took a look and gave us several options to fix or replace the unit. We opted to get a new A/C and Heater. Jake came out the very next day and installed the new equipment. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions and explain everything. He cleaned everything up as he went. We would definitely call A-1 American again if we have problems with the A/C or plumbing. Their pricing is fair and the office people, especially Gregg, very helpful. Thank you A-1 American for doing such a great job. more

Had an unexpected water leak happen. Called A-1 American and the young lady was very helpful with my questions and concerns. She also scheduled me for an appointment with a tech ASAP. Jake from A1-American came out with one day's notice and installed our new Goodman furnace. Wow, what a difference, how got so hot so fast, we were astounded. He installed and performed an excellent cleanup afterward, provided superb directions on the use and care of our unit, asked if we had any questions and let us know that A1 would be following up later for any issues we might have. One of the best installs of any appliance or HVAC I have ever see. He was personable, professional and obviously an expert in his field. I will definitely use A1 again in the spring when we do the AC and we will ask for Jake. Thanks so much. more

My water heater stopped working, I contacted A-1 and they sent out a technician, Tim. Not only did Tim show up on time as promised, he did impeccable work. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped me select a product that met need sat, a price I was comfortable paying. I contacted A-1 American services on November 11,2015 because I was having a problem with our heating unit. I spoke with a representative from the company in the Virginia Beach office and within minutes she made me feel assured that A-1 America was the way to go. An appointment was set up for a 4 hour window and a professional and friendly representative was at my door as promised the work was done and in no time our heat was restored. I will call A-1 America for future needs to our home and tell my friends about the service. more
