My story with A-1 American started with a miscommunication. I called them to have a technician come out and fix my heating unit. I waited and waited, but nobody came by. The next morning I decided to call another company; however, not only was that company's diagnostic fee higher ($109), but I was also told that the fee would not be waived but rather added on to the total cost of any work performed. Once I got that information, I called A-1 American again, and it turned out that the technician had been given the wrong number and had, thus, been unable to get in touch with me the previous evening. We arranged for another appointment the same day. This time, the technician came by on time, and I was very pleased with the service! Herman was polite and professional. What impressed me the most was that he took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and what, in his opinion, needed to be done. He did not try to manipulate me into buying any services I did not need. Once I understood that he could be trusted, I gave him the green light to go ahead with the work. Herman and his helper Joe did an excellent job and were very personable. I was so impressed with their service that I intend to tell my neighbors in the condo community about the outstanding professionalism they can expect from A-1 American. I highly recommend them!\r
