Please stay far away! Once you hand them your money, they forget about you. We ordered our furniture in September and it was just delivered in July. They gave us 4 delivery dates ...

Don't be fooled by the ""we can order anything"". Remember to read the fine print. If the product is not to your liking when it comes in you won't know until it is delivered and if you don't like it, you own it or you can purchase something of equal or greater value. more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE 3/31/2012

THERE WAS NO OPTION FOR ZERO STARS SO I HAD TO PUT A ""1"". Dont' be fooled by the star at all. I felt obligated to warn anyone who is thinking of buying ANYTHING from York Furniture: SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. The sales people are useless and only after their commission, the customer service is a COMPLETE JOKE and unbelievebly underwhelming. The customer service rep actually just said ""Yep"" on the phone to me. Really? She might need to get a new career. I can't believe that any corporation would put up with that and have emailed the manufacturer as well as the BBB. I don't even care about the furniture anymore, the point is the way we were treated. We explained to them that their repairtech had terrible body odor and they really should do something about it, her response? ""No one has ever complained"" What does that mean? We made it up? Having been in the customer service and hospiality industry for 30 years, I find it hard to believe that is how ""customer service"" works. The only upsdie is that word of mouth is powerfull stuff and we intend to use it to the fullest. DON'T GO NEAR YORK FURNITURE PEOPLE. Lesson learned. more

Great Experience,Nice Store 3/9/2012

After searching all over the area for a family room sofa we finally found what we wanted at York at a reasonable price. The quality is top notch and the selection was excellent. The staff stayed well past closing during our initial visit and there was no pressure to make a sale. i will return next time I need a piece of furniture. more

Recently purchased a bedroom set....dresser, chest, bed and mattress. Love the line and Kathleen nicely guided me to make the right purchase. Delivery guys were great, took their shoes off at the door and took away wrapping/boxes. Would definitely buy from here again. more

SMOKE AND MIRRORS!! 1/3/2012

We have experienced the absolute worst experience with purchasing furniture from York Gallery. Their customer service from the store after a sale is deplorable. We purchased a Lazy Boy Collection ( custom sofa, loveseat, and 2 chairs). We paid extra for the custom fabric and waited the full 8 weeks for delivery. Upon delivery the 2nd chair was missing and our salesperson (David) had not completed the correct paperwork to the factory. The custom chair we did receive was not properly cushioned and we had to call York to report the issues. An upholsterer was sent out to our home to access the chair. He agreed the chair is defective and he said the bottom would need to be reordered. In the meantime, a matter of a couple of weeks later from reporting the chair, the seam on the back of the loveseat was unraveling. We still are awaiting the arrival of our 2nd chair that had been promised to be delivered to us by Christmas. That never happened. We never get the same answer twice more

RUN to another store 11/22/2011

What started out as a good experience has turned into a furniture purchase nightmare?\r \r Trying a too hard to make a sale our salesperson Brenda kept repeating to us that the set was made in the USA while pounding her hand on the bottom of the drawer to show how solid it was. The manager also backed her up on the made in USA statement. What was delivered was a set made in China constructed of particle board and ply wood. We asked them to take it back and refund the money. Of course they said they could not but we all know that is at the discretion of the store manager. Now after a month we are still waiting for one dresser o be fixed. They had to order two replacement pieces. Drawers do not work on one of the pieces. They blame it on the manufacturer (Legacy). They do not stand behind their products. Check out the BBB first. more

We stopped into the York Furniture just to get an idea what couches they have. A salesman approached us, and was very pleasant and NOT pushy. After looking around awhile, we were pretty impressed with the price for the quality. He approached us a couple of times to see if we needed anything or had questions, but other than that he didn't bother us. Once we decided we will be making a purchase, He was very helpful discussing the item details, the warranty information, and the financing. They only had the one color in stock as a sofa bed, and we didn't want to wait 8-10 weeks to order without the bed, so we decided to purchase what they had which was the color we wanted anyway. The salesman made the transaction smooth & quick, and a short while later the purchase was complete. The couch was delivered as scheduled a week later, but they had called beforehand to say the loveseat would be delayed a few days.York delivered the loveseat as scheduled as well. We didn't expect to make a purchas more

I shopped around a bit for a new recliner and settled on this store because of the price. I was debating between 2 shades of brown and ended up with the lighter of the 2, which the saleswoman identified as ""chestnut"". We wrote up the order and I paid in full (nearly $1000), at which point she shared that it might not be in stock, but even if it wasn't, was a popular item so would be on order so the usual delivery time would be expedited. But she couldn't tell if it was in stock because THE INVENTORY WASN'T ON A COMPUTER!! She told me I would be called the enxt day if it was in stock. no call, so I assumed it was not in stock. Fine. Then I got a notification that my credit card had been charged, leading me to conclude it WAS in stock. (not necessarily - they charge you whether it is in stock or not). The woman in customer service tells me it IS in stock and I can pick it up; we set a pickup for 11am. I get there at 11am, and then wait for 45 minutes becasue there are 5 people ahead of me. Then when it is my turn - the chair is the wrong color. I got back into the store and they determine the color I wanted was in fact ""redwood"" not ""chestnut"" as the salesperson had told me, and the color I want is not in stock, but they offer to sell me the floor sample. I paid for a new one not a used one, thanks no. Then they offer to order it - 4-6 weeks. Meanwhile they have $1000 of my money. I never would have paid 100% if I'd known it would be 6 weeks. I tell him quite frankly I don't want to do business with them; no part of this experience has been satisfactory. So I tell them I want a credit. Oh, well only the manager can do that and he doesn't like to. No sh!t. But he's not in. So I go kill yet another hour of my busy Saturday waiting for the manager to arrive. When he gets there, the salesman pulls him aside and no doubt gets him up-to-speed on my request because when this guy approaches me, right off the bat he says - hey, you signed off on this color and that's what we're trying to deliver. If you have a problem, as a courtesy, we'll order you a different color. This little sh!t is blaming ME for not knowing the difference between redwood and chestnut. He insists he can't give me a refund. Bullsh!t. I contemplated having the charge frozen on my credit card. I asked him what would have been the minimum amount of the deposit and he said 50%. So I asked for a 50% refund since they're holding my money 'til god knows when. He DID agree to that. Says he'll ""expedite"" the order. As if. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. PASS THE WORD more

Honestly I love the selection and have been a customer for over a year. Over that time iv purchased 2 leather love seats,a set of chairs and a beautiful dining room set. I have yet to experience a problem with York furniture I would and have recommend them to others! more

Do NOT buy from this store!!!!!!We ordered a bedroom set on july and was told the bedroom set will becomeing within 3 weeks. One month later after calling them over and over and telling us it will be coming in the following week they called and told us to empty the room we will be deliverin the room on wednesday. So we throw all the old matresses and furniture and beds away of my 2 daughters room as they requested be thinking they will bring in the bedroom set we ordered, the next day they bring the wrong bedroom in they asked for the money we said we will not be giving them the rest of the money until the correct bedroom set comes in so they take the room back and still today we haven't recieved the bedroom set. School has started and my daughters have been sleeping on th ground bcause of them. DO NOT BUY THEY WILL LIE AND KEEP TELLING YOU IT WILL BE COMING IN THE FOLLOWING WEEK!!!!!!! more

I wish I had read reviews before I purchased! We were waited on by a gentleman who said he was a manager-- in fact I found out it was the owner. He guaranteed us that it would not be an issue to get the piece we ordered in a couple of days-- he insisted that it was at the warehouse and the shippingfrom there was only a day..\r Come to find out that the order had to be placed with the manufacturer (almost a week elapsed) and shipping from there is multiple days... best case it will be two weeks until we see it. He lied to us just to get the sale.. KNOWING that we needed the piece in a week since we had company coming. We also had to call 5 times to get any follow-up, although we still don't have the item more
