While I'm largely to blame myself, I feel Goodyear staff oversold what I needed and in particular directly misled me to believe they would work with me to get the best price. I came in to get a $45 oil change after $10 coupon. I left with over $830 bill for 4 tires and a battery ... and an oil change. Several times Greg insisted he will get the best price for me, however it resulted in no work on his part. On my own I found a discount with a credit application. However, Greg stipulated it could not be combined with other discounts such as wheel alignment, even though wheel alignment was excluded from the credit application discount. After applying for the credit, I was informed the application decision will take 10-15 days but full payment was expected that day. Since I was told no other discounts could be applied, I left other coupons at home. Absolutely no effort was made on their part to look up other discounts other than a $20 coupon Greg scraped up from underneath the cash register drawer. In afterthought, this behavior was particularly egregious since I had informed Greg that I was just recently laid off my job before any work was done. No offer was made to delay payment until after the credit application was approved. I mostly blame myself, however, my thoughts these days are more focused with finding a new job instead being wary of what salesmen are telling me.
