I love going to Tir Na Nog when I'm in Raleigh, it is a must! The food is great, service is great, music is great, and of course the drinks are great! It is by far the best place in Raleigh, I recommend it to all of my friends!!! more

Cgarette Smole 7/1/2005

If you want to smell like cigarette smoke this is the place to go. I thought I would try this pub. I like beer on tap and pub type food. We asked for a non-smoking table. They said the entire restaurant is non-smoking except for the bar. Well guess where the bar is??? In the middle of the restaurant and it is a huge bar at that! There is probably as much bar area as there is table space. After eating here my entire family had to head home wash all our clothes and take showers to remove the cigarette smoke. It is time catch up with world class cities and remove cigarette smoling from Raleigh's restaurants & bars. Also the wait service was horrible. We had to get up twice to ask for items from the wait staff. Pros: Inexpensive, Decent food, atmosphere Cons: cigarette smoke, Bad Service more

My expectations were over-whelmed by the excellent Irish food and atmosphere. Choice of beverages is outstanding. Service is exceptional. A place I plan to frequently visit on my way home after work, and on weekends. The atmosphere is very pleasant, unusually inviting. My favorite is the irish cottage room...great for special gatherings. Good work staff!!!! more

The meal was absolutely delicious. The waiter was attentive and courteous. We even spoke to the owner and chef to give them our compliments!
