Andy is a must try stylist 7/31/2009

I recently went to Andy at Salon Ambiance in Huntington Beach. It was the greatest experience I have had with a hair stylist. Most hairstylist I have been to in the past seemed preoccupied with their own lives and just didn't give me the attention that I felt was needed for the price. Not until I saw Andy. He met me with a smile and friendly face and gave me the attention I deserved the entire visit. His styling and cutting was outstanding and I have never had better highlights. I would certainly suggest him to anyone. You must go experience this amazing person. Pros: Best Cut, color and styling in South OC Cons: Not that I know of more

Ask for Shelly! She is a doll:) 7/16/2009

I have been going to Shelly since July of 2009. I continue to come back because I have light brown/dark blonde hair that Shelly manages to make look like naturally light blond hair! My old stylist put so much bleach on to achieve the color Shelly achieves, that my hair would ""chemically cut"" itself and break off all the time. I could never get it to grow past the tops of my shoulders. Since going to Shelly my hair is way healthier, thicker (because I don't lose hair all the time from overprocessing) and softer. Pros: Consistently good and Reasonably Priced - especially for HB! Cons: None! more

Robert took me in on a very short notice on 4th of July weekend. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He listened to my concerns and did a phenomenal job on my highlights and hair cut,. exceeded my picky expectations. He is truly amazing. Ask for Robert 6/27/2009

I am in the Huntington Beach, Ca area for 2 months and I needed a good hairdresser. People say they are particular about their hair, but I really am. Ask any hairdresser that knows me. I did my homework before I arrived and found out that ""Robert"" at Salon Ambiance had many great reviews online! I have to say ""everyone was right!"" I have only had TWO hairdressers in my life do exactly what I wanted and he was one of them! Pros: Great educated Sylists, pleasant people, fresh flavored H2O more

Robert is the way to go~ 6/19/2009

I have gone to Robert since Fall 2008 for my hair. I am in my 20's and wanted something fun, trendy and professional. He delivered! Everytime I go I feel as though I am the only one there, he is totally focused on helping me look and feel my best. I never feel lost in the shuffle or left unattended. He takes his time and seeks perfection. This afternoon Robert gave me the best color and cut I have ever had (after 8 years of professional stylists)! I feel wonderful!! Thank you Robert! Paul Pina Brazilian Blowout 6/11/2009

I have color treated hair that is prone to frizz and Paul fixed that with the Brazilian Blowout. My hair felt like it did as a teenager! It was unbelievably silky and shiny - beautiful and healthy hair. It looked great natural air dried. One minor down side is that my hair is very fine so it was a little more flat than I expected initially. But if you love your hair blown out and flat ironed, this treatment will save you loads of time. Paul is a pro and you can totally trust your hair to him, he's the best! Robert Best Colorist I've Had In Years 5/20/2009

My stylist moved to Seattle. When she left I was afraid to find a new stylist. I had gone to Citysearch for other referals, so why not a hairdresser? I looked through many of the comments, and Robert's name came up consistantly for the last few years. He's great, and I'm glad I'm glad I found him. I asked him about my color, and he changed it. ASHLEY BENINCOSA. BEST EVER! 4/28/2009

Ashley Benincosa has been doing my hair for almost two years now. I live in Newport Beach but commute to Huntington Beach to get my hair cut by her...and it's SO worth it. I was getting no luck finding someone who is GOOD at cutting hair to do it for under $50 bucks. Ashley is a way better deal(WAY), and a bigger talent for sure...she's definitely a hidden gem in the hair cutting world. Not only is she a blast to spend your haircutting time with, she really does take an interest in her clients and remembers stories quite well. She always goes to extra mile to make sure you are happy and satisfied with your hair and if you ask her to research a new style for you, she does it. Did I mention she's funny too? I really look forward to seeing her when it's time for a trim. She's got the greatest personality and the talent to match. You'd be a fool to go to anyone else! Expectations exceeded 4/28/2009

I have always been someone that dreads going to get my hair cut and every time it's not quite what I had pictured in my mind. A friend of mine told me how he had gone to Salon Ambience and Ashley Benincosa cut his hair. He suggested that I at least go and try it out since I wasn't really happy going anywhere else. I went and I had a specific style in mind and lets just say that the result couldn't have made me happier! Ashley knew exactly how to approach my dillema and worked with me through the planning process of the hair cut. Lots of times I feel that getting my hair cut is very one sided where I walk in, tell them what I want and then its over from there and I get what they have in mind. Ashley is a very open, talkative person and is open to feedback along the way. She is young and knows the latest styles which is also a plus. From someone who has been to lots of different salons and barber shops, I HIGHLY recommend Ashley. I promise you won't be disappointed. Pros: Exactly what you want! Cons: NONE! more

Ashley is the best hair person in the world 4/23/2009

For 3 years, I had been searching for someone who can make my hair look good. Everyone I went to just didn't ""cut it"" when it came to cutting my hair. A friend of mine recommended that I tried Salon Ambiance, specifically Ashley. I have been going back for over a year now, and I'm never disappointed. As a professional musician I need to look great all the time, especially on stage. Ashley makes sure that my hair is always performance ready, no matter the occasion. Paul Pina saved my hair! 3/25/2009

The last person I had color my hair did a horrible job! I was in desperate need for someone to fix it. I found Paul Pina in the Clipper and decided to look him up online. The reviews were awesome, so I decided to give him a chance. He totally fixed my color and gave me a great cut. I was completely satisfied and will continue to go back. Happy to find Robert 2/3/2009

My old stylist is going through a lot of personal problems, and my hair had look terrible for 12 weeks. In desparation I looked up stylists on the web. Robert's name came up many times on a couple of sights. He absolutly saved my hair. The old hair cut looked like it had a shelf at the layer line. Within five minutes of consultation, he changed the cut. Instantly after finishing one side of the dry cut, I knew that I loved it. Although I didn't understand when he told me why I didn't like my old hair cut , the changes he made were amazing. Now I love my hair! I can't say enough, he knows what he's doing and easy to talk to. I would have paid anything to have a great looking hair cut for my New York trip. He was almost half the cost I expected. Best haircut I have had in a long time. Cory was and is now my stylist. He game me such a great haircut I left smiling from ear to ear. HB is a trk for me from Hacienda Heights, but the cut and style will definitely have me coming back. And the Salon is impeccable....clean and the staff are very professional. more

CURLS CURLS CURLS *****PAUL PINA IS THE BEST 12/20/2008

I have a head full of curls and I am one of these people that washes my hair and walks out the door. I don't even have a clue where my brush is. I dread getting my hair cut because they always cut one of my many curls wrong and its sticking up or out of place. I went to the salon and was lucky enough to get paul and I have looked no further. I even went to John Michael salon in Fountain vallley and even when they moved to South Coast plaza and Paul Pina is far better with my curls and the price is perfect. I am so pleased with him and this past friday I went to him for a formal style and when I walked into my company Christmas party everyone was in shock they couldn't believe my hair. I am telling you he had every curl in place. That's a miracle in itself. If you've got the curls Paul Pina is the only one that will touch my curls again. Great Job Paul......... Pros: Paul Pina the curly hair expert. Cons: Parking is tough but worth it. more

A top rate salon with a top rate stylist 10/29/2008

I recently moved to Seal Beach from Pasadena, and after some research on the internet, I choose Salon Ambiance and Robert to try out for my new local hair place. I am so happy that I lucked out and found the perfect fit. He is not only talented, but he has the best personality and really cares about your hair. I can't recommend him highly enough. I have gotten more compliments on my haircut and the color is the best I have had in years. The salon is really great and rivals the ones in Beverly Hills, but with much better rates. Pros: Professional, friendly, great atmosphere, talented stylists, especially Robert and the owner is super friendly. more
