Salon Ambiance

I read through a lot of the reviews, and Robert's name kept coming up over a long period of time. I decided to try him out after I asked the receptionist if he was a great colorist. She said that he was one of the best in the salon. I went in with a washed out strawberry blonde, and he gave me a rich dark auburn with copper highlights. It's beautiful, and I've had so many compliments. After my stylist moved away, I found that reds are so difficult, that I've been through 5 stylists. Robert nailed it after he showed me some magazine pictures. Thankfully my search is over. ( I think that some of the other stylists have their friends write them reviews, Robert is the real deal ). more

I have been seeing Nancy for close to 6 years and can honestly say that I have never had a negative experience with her. My appointments are usually on Saturday mornings and Nancy always makes sure that I get coffee or anything else that I may need. I like to change my hair color a lot and I know that I can always trust Nancy to do a fabulous job! It's great to have a hair dresser that actually listens to what you want and has the knowledge and experience to make my hair look great! I always leave the salon happy and looking forward to my next appointment. Nancy is wonderful! more

Jill has been been doing my hair for a couple of years now and I couldn't be happier! She is not only a wonderful stylist but also has a fantastic personality. I always leave feeling fabulous no matter how I felt when I went in! Salon Ambiance is great too, I love the atmosphere, the coffee and the massaging chairs in the shampoo room add the extra special touch. Don't forget to stop by for a reflexology massage too, it is a steal for the price and will be the best hour of your week. Ashley is simply amazing! She does an amazing job on male haircuts. I highly recommend her. She knows everything about hair and knows how to make a person look good and also feel good as you are getting your hair done. I just wanted to write a quick review about the salon and Nancy Olsen. I'm very picky about my hair and when I was talking to a friend of mine about how I wasn't impressed with my current salon/stylist, she suggested I see Nancy at Salon Ambience. I was extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the salon and Nancy's professionalism. She asked me a lot of questions regarding what type of color and cut I was looking for and made some suggestions of her own. As I mentioned, I'm not the ""easiest"" customer and Nancy was very patient with me. She really took the time to listen to my wants and needs. I even went with a few of her suggestions and my hair looks fabulous! Thank you Nancy. You're a true professional and my new stylist! more

Ashley really knows how to do style when it comes to hair. I absolutely love the way she works with her customers. Shes kind, funny and knows whats up with all the current styling trends, so you'll be sure that you leave with a smile on your face and a look thats simply fantastic. I live right by this salon, just decided to try it for the first time a year ago and was introduced to Ashley. Since then i've gone to her for everything and am really glad i found her. I've got tough-to-manage curly hair and she's helped me with everything from cut, to dye, to extensions, to styling and product suggestions. I'm so much more satisfied with my hair and my appearance today as compared to a year ago and there's no question that she's helped me get here. more

Im going to begin by saying that I love salon ambiance. The reason why I gave it 1 star is because of Nancy. My usual hairstylist is Natalie, but she is on maternal leave, so I had to settle with Nancy. Almost everything went wrong while getting my hair cut. For example, while washing my hair, the water was too cold and she didnt even care to ask if it was fine. While shampooing my hair she kind of got soap in my eyes and water on the collar of my shirt. I got hair all over my shirt, face and ears. She would pause for about a minute or so once or twice to talk to a co-worker. She was giving me a headache while combing my hair. She accidentally poked my eye and said ""woops, didnt mean to poke you eye out."" She said she was going to straighten my hair, but I told her I dont want that, but she didnt like it. She didnt even do the back of my head/neck correctly, and when I asked her to do my sideburns she said ""oh you want me to do that too?"" I mean even on of the employees noticed I was angry. Her customer service was horrible. I dont want to sound rude or anything. I dont know, maybe she was having a bad day, but she certainly did get me angry. I just cant wait until Natalie comes back. Ashely Benincosa has always done an incredible job on my hair! I have curly hair that is hard to do and she has ALWAYS made it look great! I love going to Salon Ambiance and I would highly recommend Ashley to anyone that is looking for an AMAZING stylist!!! more

i don't go to salons very often, most of my friends are stylists and do it for free, but after this visit to salon ambiance, I've chosen a stylist and a salon that will get repeated business from me! I called to make an appointment and because of traffic i was late and had to call to push it back 20 minutes, no problem! they took me right in when i got there. the atmosphere inside the salon was friendly and up-beat, i didnt feel like i was an outsider and people were looking at me. more

Ashley Benincosa is the best! She does awesome hair color and extensions. I have been going to Ashley for a long time and have always been sooooo happy no matter what she has done. I have been going to Salon Ambiance for about a year and have had superior services each time. Sopi is amazing. She has such an amazing ability to see the end result before she even touches your hair.....I am always wanting something new, specifically in terms of hair color, and I always trust her to do whatever she feels would be best. I have never trusted anyone with my hair before her. I love my hair--it is a dark brown color with super bright red in it....Something I have always wanted but was afraid to do before I met Sopi. She cares so much about her work and her passion shines through in her interactions with people. She is truly amazing at her job and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone...especially women who want something unique. more

I went to see Rebecca and I would very much recommend her!!!! She totally let ME be in charge of my hair, which was great!!! But yet I wanted her to do her thing, and it turned out better than I could have ever hoped for. I love it Thanks Rebecca!!!!!! Karyn has been taking care of my hair since I first came to see her about 5 years ago. At the time, my hair was thrashed. Over time, Karyn has worked with it to help grow it out and keep it healthy. Because my hair is naturally curly, dull and frizzy, I've always had to blowdry it straight and use a starightening iron. But not any more! Karyn recommended the Brazilian Keratin Smoothing Treatment on my hair. At first I was very reluctant and cautious. Im always afraid that my hair is going to get thrashed again if I do new things to it, so I typically like to stay with what Im familiar with. However, after much persuation, Karyn talked me into it and I am so glad that she did! My hair is super straight, shiny and soft - without a straightening iron! It only takes me 10-15 minutes to dry AND style my hair, whereas before it would take me 30-45. I love the treatment and would highly recommend that you see Karyn to have it done. Karyn knows hair and knows her stuff without doubt. There aren't many people out there that I would trust with my hair, but I definitely trust Karyn. Sopi gave me a fab hair cut. I wanted my hair to look like Jennifer Aniston and Sopi gave me the star treatment along with a star cut. She was so fun to talk to as well. I would definitely recommend going to Salon Ambiance and getting Sopi to cut your hair. You have to get an appointment tho because she's really busy. I've been a loyal client of Sopis' for many years, even before she had her own salon. Because Sopi is always going to hair shows and continuing her education I know that I will get the latest and trendiest color. Friends and coworkers are always complimenting me. Rebecca at Salon Ambiance has been coloring my dry, extremely curly hair for over 7 years, and she has never disappointed me. She is very creative and talented. She has a good ear for listening to what a client is looking for and is also terrific at suggesting something when you have no clue what to do with your hair. Whatever color she has recommended has always looked fantastic and natural. She is fantastic with the scissors too. Most recently, I was discussing having my hair chemically straightened with her but was afraid of the damage it would cause my hair as it is already chemically processed, very dry and very curly. ( I mean ringlets) Rebecca recommended the Brazilian straightening system for me, she said it is actually good for my hair, won't damage my curl, and has no root regrowth, it just washes out over a period of 3-5 months. She applied the protein treatment in less than 3 hours and I can't believe the results! My hair is silky smooth and soft, no curls, waves or frizz. I JUST MOVED HERE 2 YEARS AGO AND COULDN'T FIND A DECENT HAIR STYLIST. I WENT HERE AND THERE BUT JUST COULDNT FIND THE RIGHT ONE. I SAW HIS AD IN THE MAGAZINE CLIPPER AND THOUGHT I'D GIVE IT A SHOT. WAS THE SHOT WORTH IT! WHEN I GOT THERE THE FRONT DESK WAS SUPER COURTEOUS AND OFFERED BEVERAGES. PAUL PINA NOT ONLY GAVE ME A GREAT CUT AND COLOR, BUT HE MADE ME FEEL CHIC AND BEAUTIFUL! Paul Pina has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 10 years. I was referred to him by a group of women (10 total!) from my work who also went to Paul. Over the course of the years, I've never lived closer than 30 miles to any of the salons where Paul has worked. I lived on the East Coast for nearly two years and planned my hair appointments to coincide with my business trips to the West Coast. That's true dedication! I'm EXTREMELY fussy (as most women are about their hair) and indecisive most times. I CAN ALWAYS RELY ON PAUL TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS THAT ALIGN WITH MY STYLE DESIRES!!! Paul ensures his education is current so that he can provide the best service and skill possible to his clients. You MUST try Paul. He's very friendly, experienced and offers good advice (if you're indecisive like me).
