Robert's a Great Stylist 1/5/2011

I want to share with you my hair story. I found Robert on Citysearch after crying and frustrated with my old stylist. I told my old stylist that my hair was too brassy, so she lowlighted me and turned my hair green. I had tryed other stylist in the past and wasn't happy. I looked at salons in my area and Salon Ambiance had the most reviews. I read through many of the reviews and Robert kept coming up over years time. HE ABSOLUTELY KNOWS COLOR. He told me what was wrong in the first minute we talked. He smiled and said I would look so much better today, but it would take a couple of visits to correct my old stylists work. I liked that, because I felt he was being honest. Well my hair was exactly what I was looking for before I met him. I rebooked and can't wait to see where he takes my color. He's just wonderful. more

Luckily, I found out where my favorite hairstylist, JILL VAUGHAN, relocated after I moved back to Orange County. Arriving on a chilly morning at her new salon in Huntington Beach, Salon Ambiance, I helped myself to some fresh yummy pumpkin bread and Jill brewed me my own fresh cup flavored coffee...mmm!! more

My Blonde hair color turned out fantastic. Just moved to HB and needed a new stylist. I read up on Robert by reading a several reviews. He put 3 different blonde shades into my hair. My color has never looked better. I just wanted to pass it on. more

Robert Best of Color 7/13/2010

I'm a brunette and I wanted something different without highlighting my hair. Robert sectioned my hair and added a vibrant redish brown into certain sections and left the other hair natural. OMG it is unbelievable. My freinds at work love it and want to know who did it. I didn't know that my long hair could look so good without highlights. Love it! Pros: Cool Salon more

Brazilian Blowout 7/8/2010

Jill Vaughn offered a special on this beauty treatment that many of the celebs use. I love it! My hair is generally thick and full but sometimes when its damp or humid out can frizz. Now my hair is soooo smooth and soft. I can't wait to go out! Pros: Beautifully smooth and soft! more

Anthony has changed my life by fixing my hair! He perform cuts, color, scalp conditioning and styling that are amazing. my hair was ruined in the past by extensions and I owe it all to him that my hair is repaired and healthy again. I will never go to another stylist. I trust him either with going blonde, brunette, or red! He is a delight to be around and makes the experience great by our conversations and many laughs! Sopi is by far the best color correction stylist 6/14/2010

I am a natural medium blond. My friends talked me into going dark chocolate brown. What a mistake. Color correction time. My old stylist couldn't fix it. I was referred to Sopi at Salon Ambiance for color correction. She did a through consultation, explaining the possible outcomes. She restored my natural blond! Everyone loved it, including me. After reading many reviews, I went with Robert. I had too many dark lowlights from my last stylist who wouldn't listen to me. I saw Robert last week, and I now have my hair the way I want it. Shelly is AMAZING 5/6/2010

I have been going to Shelly for the past 5 years ... Salon AMbiance I must add is an incredible Salon. The staff is soooo friendly. From the receptionist to the facial waxers to every stylist you walk by. Shell once again I love my hair. I recently moved out of HB but refuse to let anyone do my hair besides Shelly. I came to her this time with the worst faded color and huge roots and dried out hair from going on an extensive back packing trip 4 months with no hair stylist YIKES :-/ . After going to Shelly she made it look like a million bucks. I absolutely love my color. It was everything I wanted and more. I wanted to keep as much length as possible but understood that I needed to cut it to make it look healthy again. She made it come back to life. It is still long :-) thanks shelly!!NOW it looks nice thick shiny and HEALTHY!! wooo hooo. The first night after getting my hair done had a ladies night and got soooo many compliments!!! Simply The Best 4/28/2010

I went to see ROBERT last week with brassy blonde hair from my last disasterous hair dresser. I found him on City Search. He saved my blonde! He said that it might take 2 appointments because he wanted to save the integrity of my hair. I can't believe what he did in one appointment. Looking forward to my next. I HAVE A QUESTION FOR THE LITTLE GIRL BELOW 4/27/2010

I find it hard to believe your accusations. There is a comment 1 below yours and 1 on 7/16 basically stating the exact opposite about Shelly. Its one thing to be unhappy with your hair. But it is quite another to completely bash someone and make up lies about cursing and kicking purses. I've had my hair cut by Shelly for 4 years (and never has anything close to a curse word passed her lips.) I have some of the worst cowlicks ever and Shelly does an exceptional job every time. DONT GO TO SHELLY!!! WORST MISTAKE! 4/26/2010

i found this salon online and thought i would give it a shot. Little did i know i would get Shelly, she must have not even gone to beauty school! When i walked in she gave me a consultation and i told her i wanted brown hair she gave me black, i told her i wanted a trim she cut off 3 inches. When she combed my hair i thought it was going to fall out and the shampoo was more on my face then my hair. she cursed, and told me to move to another chair because someone else was coming! my purse was on the floor and she kicked it! please save yourself and DONT GO TO HER! I went to the salon owner to get it fixed and she did a fantastic job, its exactly what i wanted. I guess it was too hard for Shelly to comprehend. more

New to Cali, and I just found my new stylist! 4/24/2010

I recently relocated to California from Texas, and was looking forward to making a trip back home to get my hair done by my old stylist Ashley - but decided to ""rip the bandaid"" and try someone here (the roots were starting to scare me :)). Shelly is a great talent! 4/3/2010

I just moved to the area, and needed a color and a cut BADLY! my roots were hideous and my highlights were a horrible yellowish tone. I made an appointment with Shelly.. and she matched my roots, gave me brand new beautiful blond highlights and BY FAR the best haircut I've had in a long time. She is right on key with the trends, and my hair has never had such volume! They have a couple great lines too.. especially KMS, Enjoy and Moroccan Oil! I got a shampoo and conditioner from enjoy and this volumizing blowdry lotion from KMS that makes my hair absolutely HUGE! thanks a ton shelly! Pros: a great cut and color everytime! Sopi - Best Wedding Colorist and Stylist in Orange County 4/1/2010

I never thought that my hair could look so perfect on my wedding day. Not only did Sopi do my hair but she did my whole wedding party. She worked miracles and made it one less thing to worry about on that day. I cannot tell you how special and how beautiful I felt because of what Sopi did for my hair. By the way it is a full service salon and I got my makeup and airbrush tan there too. I would recommend her to anyone especially on their big day. CP more

Fabulous Color by Robert 3/28/2010

O.K. ladies, this guy knows his color! I am so excited that I had to write this. I needed a new colorist, and I used to drive to Newport. A friend of mine recommended Robert, and I looked up his reviews. I'm really picky about my color, but reading his reviews made me feel at ease. I have to have beige blonde tones that are hard to get. I needed some lowlights,and I can't have any red or gold. He said the very same thing to me during the consultation. Well my hair is beautiful thanks to Robert. Thankfully I don't have to go to Newport any more. :) Pros: Color Expert more

I have been getting my hair cut by Jill for many years. What I really love about Jill is her excellent customer service - I give her a vague idea of what I want (or don't want) and she really listens to what I say. She always gives me a great haircut, and I leave feeling great. The salon is very nice and everyone there is very friendly. Jill has been cutting and weaving my hair for over 12 years. People I have worked closely with during that time did not even suspect that I colored my hair. Jill is the best!
