Jill Vaughn is the best hair stylist I have been to! I walked in a shelpy Mom and left red carpet ready! Not only is she a pro but I shared some things with her about my love life and got the best coaching EVER! She's AWESOME. I love that I can get a massage, reflexology, manicure and treatments all in one place. Plus you can tell the people that work there all really respect each other. The owner, Sophie came over to meet me and was just one of the nicest most inspiring ladies I have met in a long time. I am not going to spend time and money going to a chop shop just to get the job done anymore. I want ambiance, relaxation and a pleasurable, inspiring experience with Jill. I only live once! More fun and color in my life, Thank you, Robert! 2/6/2010

To me this salon is so different from others. Stuff and atmosphere is so friendly. My hair were done by Robert. I couldn't believe they can look so good. Haircut, highlights, lowlights, redlights :) everything was mixed extremely professionally on my head. Robert is a great person and gives so much positive energy to his clients. His service is not only about good looking but also about good feeling and confidence. more

Maria has been cutting and coloring my hair for years. From short bobs, brunette to blond and back again (best colorist e-v-e-r), extensions on and off, straitening, you name it, I've had it done by Maria. And it has always turned out looking fabulous! I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair. Now by boyfriend is also going to her and she's done great things with his thinning hair. Totally recommend Maria for anything hair! Pros: up to date on all latest trends and techs more

Jill takes her years of experience at a colorist and stylist and integrates the needs of her customer to create a beautiful result ! I strongly recommend her capable services to anyone who would either like a change or need someone who will thoughtfully carry on your current color and style. Pros: Amazing colorist and stylist ! Cory Cory Cory!!! 10/20/2009

I am Cory's new cheerleader! I have very frizzy and semi-curly hair and Cory suggested I do the Keratonin Brazilian Straightener and I am so pleased with the results. I feel like it's not my hair! It's so shiny, soft and straight! No more frizzies in humid weather and I love it! Cory is not only a GREAT stylist, but he involves you in the process. He doesn't just do what he wants...he actually asks your opinion so you have the option of saying no if you don't like something ahead of time before it's too late. You can't go wrong with Cory. The 3 hours I spent there flew by. I can't recommend him enough! Thanks Cory! more

Great Hair for 20+ Years! 10/20/2009

I am a client of Jill Vaughan's and have been for 20+ years and relish in this opportunity to review Jill and the salon. I have the unique distinction of being Jill's 1st client. My experience with her having cut, colored, and highlighted my hair all this time has been consistently wonderful. She provided unsurpassed personal attention (and beauty!) for my attendants and me on my wedding day and every 6 weeks I always feel as if I have the best hair when I walk out that door! I noticed that MGriz was an unhappy customer and my advice to MGriz is to definitely call Jill because she would NEVER allow a client to leave unhappy. The atmosphere at Salon Ambiance and Jill's continued professionalism will keep me coming back another 20+ years! more

Robert Rocks 9/17/2009

I recently moved to Huntington Beach and have incredibly bad experiences with hair dressers in the past. I found Robert on city search and hoped that he was everything the reviews said he was, he was that and more. I have only ever trusted one other hairdresser to cut my hair prior to Robert... and he lives in South Africa. I now thankfully have another hairdresser on the North American continent. I would fly to see Robert, that's how good he is. Pros: hair genius more

When I was looking for a stylist, I asked a friend of mine whose long hair always looked fantastic, who she went to. That's how I found Jill Vaughan four years ago. She is all I could have hoped to have found in a stylist. Her professional talents, skills, and manner are tops. She is gifted at blending color, cutting styles, and keeping hair healthy. The first time we met, she took notes about what I was looking for in hair care and from a stylist. Have you ever been asked what you don't like a stylist to do? She asks, she listens, and then she follows through. I drive 45 minutes to have Jill do my hair, but she is worth the drive! She's the best! more

I've had ""problem"" hair for as long as I can remember, so needless to say, having an evaluation done was not an ideal situation for me. Cory decided that the Keratin straightening would produce the best results. Not only was he spot on, but the transformation was nothing short of a miracle. My hair went from a curly, frizzy, damaged mess to beautiful, versatile, healthy looking hair. For the first time in my life, I am actually excited to style my hair. I am amazed!!!! I tried out the new Spa and it was the best experience ever! Michelle is fantastic! Before I got married I had her give me a Facial and Brazilian wax. When I left the spa, I thought why dont I have her do my makeup for my wedding. Therefore, I had a trial run with her and I loved it. Ashley far and away is the best hair stylist that I know of... I gave her free reign on my hair to do whatever she wants because I know that it will be as amazing as she is... I have gotten more compliments from people after each hair cut and even weeks afterward, which is really important in getting your hair done... Not only is she amazing at cutting and coloring but she is also very knowledgeable about product and has never let me down... Oh, and also she is as pretty and personable as she is good at styling hair, which is always a great bonus... I really look forward to going back to her... Pros: All around amazing! THE SPA IS FANTASTIC 8/12/2009

Michelle the esthetician at the spa, is one of the most knowledgeable estys ever! I went in for the full treatment, a facial (which felt amazing and my skin was glowing) a brazilian wax which was almost virtually painless (almost) come on, its a brazilian ladies, and a spray tan. Needless to say I left looking and feeling like a brand new woman. I can say with 100% assurity that you will be 100% satisfied with the spa, I know I was! I plan on coming in next for her make-up application, I hear she's one of the best, and by looking at her flawless skin and make-up application I believe it! THANKS MICHELLE! See you soon!! I didn't know what to expect at first but a friend told me she went to Chris and was very happy with the experience. I was not disappointed. He actually took the time to suggest styles and listen to my needs. I even went back and got a weave. Nice job. Pros: Knows how to cut layers. more

Best experience ever! 8/3/2009

I tried a new stylist named Chris and he totally hooked it up. He listened to what I asked for and gave me fuller ends. Such a joy to have nice hair again. Excellent customer service. Sopi the owner was so nice too! I am going back for sure! Pros: Loved the hair at good price. more
