I contacted 13 moving companies for my move from Chicago to Boston, and not only was STI one of the less expensive companies (with no hidden fees), but their communication was flawless and their entire staff was professional, thorough and very careful. more

Fastest I have ever seen 8/25/2010

We moved on August 18th in Aurora. We moved our 4 bedroom home furniture and about 100 boxes into storage. We booked them because they didn't start charging until they arrived, and they were available for the date we needed. We didn't book with a lot of time beforehand because we moved on a week day and thought it wouldn't be hard to find someone then, and we waited also because we needed to be sure we'd be ready.\r \r I was a little concerned when I saw some less than stellar reviews on line. We had no reason to fear, however, as our STI movers were really awesome. They actually showed up a little early. The movers were the fastest my husband or I had ever seen, and we have moved across the country more than once. They were super fast and the team lead guy didn't even break for a sip of water. They were very nice, and very quickly helped us pack some last minute things like bedding we just used. Over the phone Martin said the most it would be was X, but it might come on a little under, and did come in about 15% less even when we tipped them. The guys that moved us were extreely quick, professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend them, and I will use them again. more

I was impressed 8/11/2010

I recently moved a couch, big Screen TV and a very expensive canopy bed (including mattress and box spring) from Chicago to DC. STI was so great at cooridinating the move with me accross country. They wrapped my stuff up with such care. It was especially important to me considering the couch belonged to my late grandfather. Also, I was amazed at how quick and efficent they were. more

Lots of Deception 7/10/2010

I thought I was getting a good deal, but boy that really was a lie. Added a bunch of phony charges that they said that Matt my consultant did not know what he was talking about. No communication at all. Damages and lost over $3000.00 worth of my belongings. Still waiting for a phone call with my claim # and some other kind of run around, I was calling everyday, they learn who you are and they put you on hold until you hang up! Very Upset damaged priceless furniture that was in my family for over 70 years! DO NOT USE STI!! You will be Sorry. do not use STI 7/9/2010

I recently moved from Chicago to Texas and used STI movers. When I began working with them they seemed nice and helpful, but after my things did not arrive on time things changed. I wouldnt be too upset if my things were a couple of days late as long as there was an open line of communication and they were upfront with me about the status of my move. When my things didnt reach me in the guaranteed time I had to be the one to call them. My phone calls were ignored. My representative's name was steve. Then we spoke to the office manager, Michael, who was rude and not very helpful. After unpacking all of our things we realized we didnt get all of our boxes. I have called several times without a response. Overall this was a horrible experience and by far the most stressful part of our relocation. Do not use STI movers, spend the extra money to get your things moved by professionals, it will be worth it in the end when you dont have to re-buy all of the things they lost in the move. This moving company has been the worst company I have ever dealt with and believe me I have dealt with many. They are unreliable, they are always giving me the round around about when my things will arrive, and they never respond to my phone calls! I will never use them again and neither should you!!! more

My recent move with STI 4/26/2010

Ok, Booked the move and prefered this one as they said they will deliver on time. Soon after teh booking is doen, forget any calls from them My reps were Steve and Mathew. After one week my things were picked, I called to find the status, they didn't even move it from their ware house and just sitting there. I particulary told them I need the stuff on the date agreed as my wife is 8months pregnant and atleast need a mattress to sleep on. I then started my calling marathon to STI talking to managers and finally got the stuff on the date agreed. I have been on half hour calls to get this done beside paying $$$$.00 amount. After delivery we noticed stuff was lost and we reported it to STI. Mathew said he will call me back about it and never ever bothered to give me a call. I made several calls to the local delivery guys (lucky I took their contact number) (not STI employees) for 5 days and atlast at the end of 5 days I got the lost stuff. And finally when there was a billing issue - forget it, ""Mathew is on a diffrent call, can i get a message"", ""Steve stepped out of the office"" these are the regular messages you will here and finally when you get hold of one, they have no shame or what ever in pouring false statements at you. All they say is "" no we haven't agreed upon that, this is our policy, that is how we work""\r \r One final note - I posted a review previously and Mathew asked me to remove it and promised me a good service from then on, but I had to post this one, as they simply dont care. NEVER USE STI MOVERS!!!!!!! 4/13/2010

I recently moved half way across the country. EVERY PART OF MY MOVING EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIBLE THANKS TO STI MOVERS! They are liars and doubled the initial quote. There was no notice of pick up or delivery, did not bring boxes that were promised, broke items, lost boxes and some boxes were even opened!!! I would rather carry each box individually than ever use STI movers! They are good salesmen but DON""T TRUST THEM AT ALL!!!!!! Cons: dishonest, rude, harassing, unprofessional more

STI Movers, Sasha Transport Inc. – HUGE Rip-off – Overcharge 11/30/2009

I would like to use the strongest language possible here when I say PLEASE do not use/trust STI movers. They charged over 3 times the estimate for the move and had the worst customer service I have ever received from a moving company. I have lived in 4 different locations all in the city of Chicago and although STI provided me with a very reasonable estimate over the phone, their final bill was more than double any of my previous moves and 327% higher than the estimated cost. I do understand that an estimate is just that, and estimate, but professional movers should be able to ballpark a cost better than that. Also considering their estimate was in range of my previous moves. They do a great job during the initial sale and estimate process but please do not be fooled. Once they have your credit card information there is nothing you can do to stop them from billing you. I emailed and called for 3 weeks to resolve the issue with little to no cooperation from STI. Multiple calls/emails went unreturned and when I finally convinced them I was not going away they offered me a $100 credit but with that came a waiver to following up on the issue. After turning down the $100 the representative “Matt K.” hung up on me. If you have any doubts please feel free to contact me and I will provide as much information as you need. I would love to make sure this doesn’t happen to another anyone else. Cons: Overcharged Estimate by 327% more

Awesome job. They guys were super nice and super fast. We loaded and unloaded a full one bedroom in 2 hours including traffic and it was all less than $300. Highly Recommend!!! Pros: Best Movers more

best move ever 1/19/2009

When I was moving back from Indiana I did not want to do a self move. I have lots of heavy and expensive dj equipment so i went on line and got a lot of quotes. Then talk to a friend who said they had used STI Movers. So I called them and they were great. They handeled all my questions and concerns. They explained that materials to safe guard my items would be additional but worth it. They gave me insurance options and date flexiblity. I had them pick up and deliver with out any problems at all. I would use them every time I moves. Pros: nothing but help ful more
