difficult circumstances but outstanding job 3/23/2012

STI Moving was very responsive to requests for quoting, they walked me through the process and what to expect, and I felt comfortable with how they were communicating. I also had a referral from a friend, so things started off well. The day of the move happened to be a snowstorm. Moving out of my apartment was efficient and easy... and so was the move back in to the condo. Unfortunately for the movers, they had to endure endless snow, a long walk (up stairs, across snowy mud) to the entryway to the condo. They were visibly irritated, but they didn't complain. They did an outstanding job in extremely difficult circumstances. Throughout they walked me through what was going to happen / what to expect... and they made sure ground covers were down everywhere to ensure no damage. In the end, only one bulb broke. Which is surprising given that it was in a glass lamp, which stayed intact. Altogether, couldn't recommend these guys more! more

good work, reasonable price 3/17/2012

This is the second time I've used STI Movers and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Their prices are reasonable given the care they take in protecting your house and furniture. they arrived on time and conducted themselves admirably during the move, taking the time to wrap all my furniture in padding or shrinkwrap, and ensuring that pieces were brought to where I needed them in my new place. more

Fast, Efficient, Good Communication 3/6/2012

These guys helped move a 3br house. They were very efficient, careful, communicative, and most of all, honest about the price/quote/time. I had multiple phone calls updating me on the status of my move, and they arrived on time and were very efficient. The movers were also friendly and personable. If this sounds too glowing of a review to be true - count me happily surprised because I haven't had such good experiences with other movers - especially when I hired one of the ""big"" well known companies. I've never had that happen before. more

We wouldn't trust anyone else 2/26/2012

They worked carefully with all of our items . . . nothing broken or damaged. They did many little things without being asked, such as taking empty boxes to the recycling room on their way back to the elevator. I especially appreciated their professionalism when we ran into some elevator problems at our destination. They made the day go very smoothly for me. Thanks to you & the team. Would definitely recommend STI Movers! more

10+. We used STI Movers and had a totally Stress Free move. The guys arrived on time, were friendly, efficient, careful and at the end of the day, on budget. They made sure we were happy with where everything went and were not in a rush to leave. I am VERY impressed and would highly recommend using them for your move. more

No damage, no problems 2/16/2012

Movers made the recent move of my brother's estate smooth and stress-free. They were efficient, friendly, extremely careful with his stuff, and really made the move a pleasure. The guys arrived as promised, and everything proceeded like clockwork from that moment on. No damage, no problems - I wouldn't have believed a move could be this easy. Even the large armoire made it up the tight staircase without incident. Great service - I would definitely use STI Movers again, and may even have them help me with some smaller internal moves. My furniture shifting days are over after finding a resource like this! Thank you everybody at STI Movers more

fake reviews all day below 2/7/2012

I used this company recently and it was a nightmare I have since gone to town with some looking around. I was charged double for a move that should of been half, they are rude and unprofessional. The ""5"" reviews listed here in google, kudzu and so on are mainly fake, look at the reviewers. Man y of them have posted for all the same places and some other movers within months. It is an obvious fraud and dont believe them. Look under sasha transport inc ""there real name"" and also be sure to check yelp and the BBB. I am still waiting for resolution of my issues but am disgusted by this companies attempts to insult their clients intelligence thinking people werent going to notice. more

Another great job 2/4/2012

This was my 3rd time using these guys. My last move was a doozy, with hoists required to get furniture in to a 3 story townhouse so I wanted someone I could trust to get us moved out. I had three companies quote and STI Movers was very competitive, especially after the repeat-customer discount. Maria was very helpful. On moving day they showed up on time with 5 guys and 2 trucks. Very personal and professional crew. They all introduced themselves and took great care in packing up and loading the truck. At the new house, the same care was taken in the unload. Alas a few hoists were required at the new location, and even after working hard for the last 5-6 hours, they threw themselves in to the task. The only caveat is that I'm always surprised by the final bill. Still reasonable, but it's always been a good 20-30% higher than the original quote. They seem to under-estimate the time to keep the estimate low. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the. To friends and family. more

job well done at a super price 1/20/2012

This is my third time using STI Moving , and the reason I keep going back to them is because of the care they take when moving my furniture and belongings. STI Movers were the two working on my move and they were very efficient and personable throughout the move. One mover (I forgot his name, sorry) was especially great to work with and he was constantly making sure that things were being done to my satisfaction. It took longer than expected (ergo, my bill was higher than the original estimate) given the navigation of narrow condo corridors and elevators required, but overall it was a job well done by both guys. more

stress-free moving experience 1/13/2012

STI Moving was by far the best moving company I have ever dealt with and they made our move effortless. All of our stuff was treated with respect, and so well protected. The crew was not sure everything would fit in the truck, and had a backup plan in place just in case, but after the first few items went on, they were sure we'd be okay, and they were right. MAx, was always one step ahead and he was not only a good mover, but he was a great people manager. Steve and Bret were friendly and efficient, and not once did I worry about what they were doing with my stuff. The price was worth every penny, and I highly recommend STI Movers to anyone who wants a stress-free moving experience more

questionable tactics 1/11/2012

I am moving to Florida next month and tried to book the move with STI. They had me fill out a computer generated inventory list for the estimate. The estimate came. I added a few more items and was very pleased with the price, only to find out that many of the items I entered in the computer generated list were missing from the estimate. I feel this was done on purpose, a tactic used to confuse the customer, make them think everything they inventoried is included in the estimate, when it is not. When I talked to the representative, Bret, I was told the computer generator ""has problems"". I told him he should have informed me of this so as to avoid confusion on my part. I asked for a refund on my deposit and a new estimate. I also told Bret I did not want to book a move where I would be charged another 4 or 5 hundred dollars at the last minute. I was told the company was no longer able to accommodate my move. For me, this confirms my suspicion that STI is trying to dupe it's customers. more

easy and efficiently Moving 1/7/2012

We decided on STI Moving for our cross country move based on reviews, which were consistently excellent, so much so that it almost seemed suspicious to me. However, here I am writing another glowing review. Solana contacted me very quickly, and provided a very detailed estimate. The crews were super fast, friendly, extremely careful, professional and efficient. Every single item was itemized, wrapped and reviewed with me on pick up and again on delivery. In fact, we had a sofabed dropped off the day before the delivery and those guys caused more damage to our walls moving one item than occurred moving the contents of a 2 bedroom apartment!! The price also came in significantly below the estimate, which was a huge bonus and relief for us! Moving across the country is s potential nightmare, but this team couldn't have made it easier for us. Thanks so much! more

Worst Experience Ever 1/5/2012

Just remember you get what you pay for. Although, the price was cheap, so was the service. Would not recommend to any friends or enemies! Items damaged, grumpy movers and no one could give me a delivery date, finally got one with less than 24 hour notice. Movers were scheduled between 4-6pm, showed up at 9pm. more

We are so happy with the excellent service provided by STI Movers. The booking was quick and most impressive was the time estimate which was bang on. They were efficient, attentive and careful. In the past whenever we hired movers, it either went overtime or items were damaged. Not this time, we only have good things to say about STI Movers. more

The bill was very carefully explained to me, and I was provided with copies of my deposit and the final cost. I used STI Movers for my move based on a recommendation from friends. This was the first time I used a moving company, but I was impressed. The two guys who showed up were on time, friendly, and took great care of my possessions. They even had to take apart my desk to get it out of my old place but put it back together perfectly at the new place. The guys did a ton of work moving my stuff and really hauled ass doing it. My move did take longer than expected but only because I had a lot more stuff than I realized or quoted, so make sure you fill out the questionnaire as accurately as possible so they can assess your move properly. All in all I would use this service again and have already recommended it to others. It was well worth the money. more

This moving company is excellent! They helped to move me on a very cold and rainy day and everyone is the crew was still very happy and helpful. We had to move furniture up many flights of stairs and these guys were great about it. I would recommend these movers to anyone! more

I had the best moving experience with STI Movers . this is now the 3rd time I've moved in 3 years, and by far the quality and friendliness of the movers were better than the other companies I've dealt with. Steve and his team were amazing - on time, professional and extremely helpful, they all went above and beyond to help me and even waited for me when I was running a little bit behind. Overall great moving service for a reasonable price. more
