I love that Roto-Rooter calls to say when the technician is expected so I don't have to wait around. They called twice after I booked the appointment - once to give an estimated time of arrival and aother for when the tech was heading over. These calls went to my cell and the operator encouraged me to get errands done and they would keep me posted as to when to be home. Chris, Service Tech #7431 was friendly and knowledgeable. He took care of the problem and also inspected my home for any other concerns. I'd be pleased if he were sent the next time I need service. more

We called and they came within the hour. We had Chris #7431 as our technician who was very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. He devised an innovative idea for our washer and dryer installation, and was extremely good at finding a solution to our sewage issues!! The prompt service was exceptional however they were a little on the pricey side, hence the 3 star rating. If you have an urgent plumbing problem then these are the guys to call! more

Wilson #728 was professional and friendly from the minute I opened the door. He was prompt too! We talked about my issue, he offered me additional services, and we settled easily on the focus for the visit. He corrected my problem with ease and was tidy and respectful of my home. They came to our house quickly and were fantastic. They fixed a bathroom sink and the washing machine drain in our very old house. Our house is not easy to work with and they went out of their way to fix things! I would call them again in a second! Louie and Anna were very personable too. more

After dinner last night, our kitchen sink drain/ disposal clogged. As an ""all-thumbs"" handyman, I tried plunging and then, attempted to clear the drain trap while my wife stood with the phonebook and the Roto-Rooter number. At 7:30, after a fruitless hour of being the inept home handyman, I called the number. The person answering the phone was very cordial, took all of my info down and told me that a tech would call me in the 8pm -10pm window. He would give me a half hour heads up that he was enroute. At exactly 8pm, the phone rang and I was told that my tech was enroute. Like clockwork, he arrived at 8:30pm. A very polite gentleman named Jim (tech #1876) came to the door, introduced himself, and checked out my problem. He diagnosed the issue as a soap or grease buildup that had clogged the pipe that fed into the main drain line. He then broke the extra bad news that the company charge to fix this was $359.00. However, he informed me that I could download a $40 coupon from the company website to help soften the blow. Jim's service and knowledge were excellent. He cleared up the problem, cleaned up the area where he used his equipment and was finished in about 2hours. This was the best experience that I've had over the years with this company. If only the price was a little more reasonable.... more

My kitchen sink has been plugged for days. I tried to use a variety of products, but despite of my attempts, I still couldn't get it to work. Today, I dialed up Roto-Rooter in Providence, RI. I spoke to the costumer service rep on the phone, and request their assistance. To my surprise, a friendly and knowledgeable plumber showed up within an hour. He evaluated my problem and gave me an honest estimate. I must say that it was pricier than I expected, but it was worth every penny. Not only was he very patient with my sink problems, he was also extremely courteous , offering to clean up the sink afterword. I had a $30 off coupon, but my printer did not work. He took the discount without any questions. Thanks for an awesome job! more

Roto-rooter came withing 2 hours, gave me a quote on what it would cost to fix my plumbing problem, and at my approval, they fixed it immediately. They were polite, upfront, and courteous...and clean, with slippers on their shoes to keep dirt off floors!! more

Being an elder woman who lives alone, I had a problem with a clogged toilet...Within the hour, a very informative young man arrived. He explained what he was going to do and further explained what would happen if he was unable to fix the problem the easiest way. VERY FAST SERVICE.....\r \r i am currently renting an apartment,that the landlord just lost to the bank.i am currently finding a new place to live.but still have to reside at my current residence.the shower hot water was running constantly even when turned off completely.this morning there was no hot water.so i decided to call a plumber and pay to get it fixed myself.i looked in the yellow pages and seen a whole page ad for roto-rooter.the lady on the phone said they could look at it for free and give an estimate,she also said the plumber would be out within an hour.the plumber was at my door 20 minutes later.the estimate was a little costly.but he was able to fix the shower diverter(valve) in 20 minutes,which i was very happy!he also took into consideration that i am living in a forcloser home and trying to move.i also am pregnant,have a 2 yr old,and am disabled.so he reduced the price.which i appreciate so very much.i am so happy the plumber was able to fix it so fast. thank you more
