Best waxing place ever! I was looking for someone and someplace that specialized in waxing. This is the place. And JODI is f-ing amazing! I had previously tried to get a brazilian wax and I could not finish it because it was so painful. But before my wedding I decided I needed to give it another shot, so I found Jodi and she has changed me!! :) EVERY woman should get waxed and is should be done by Jodi!! Amazing! I will am a loyal customer. I highly recommend Queen Bee Waxing to every woman! GO you will not be disappointed! more

INCREDIBLE Salon with Great Personalities 7/17/2010

I have been to Queen Bee Salon several times (Brazilians, under-arms, legs) and have always had a terrific experience. I'm luckier than most; I work right down the street so getting an appointment is a breeze. I've only managed to get ONE appointment with Jodi and agree with all those who've previously posted that she is the BEST waxologist EVER! Unfortunately, Jodi's calendar is booked WEEKS in advance so I've had the pleasure to receiving services from several other ladies in the facility and have NEVER been disappointed. I ADORE QUEEN BEE WAXING SALON! more

Best wax in LA 2/27/2010

I went to Queen Bee for the first time and saw Jodi. She was incredibly friendly and the wax ( that took maybe 15 minutes) was the best I've had in LA. I already made an appointment to go back for a pedicure so I can check out what else the salon has to offer. I'll definitely be making this my go to place. Best facial ever! 9/4/2009

The waxing here is awesome but I decided to give their facials a try as well since the price was right and the place is great. I've had a lot of facials and have to say that Sharon gave the hands down best facial I've ever had! She's fantastic, really listens to your skin concerns and uses great, gentle products (and never tries to sell you products either). It's an amazing experience and prices are super reasonable as well. Of course, the waxing is the best in town as well, I won't go anywhere else! Pros: Location, atmosphere, prices Cons: none! more

Queen Bee Waxing is Top Notch 8/16/2009

Queen Bee is not just for hair removal, they have many specialty beauty services as well and all are TOP NOTCH. Jodi, the owner, cares very much for healthy, environmentally safe products which I find to be a big plus. She is always searching for the best quality and most natural products on the market. The fact that it's an adorable salon makes it all the more perfect. more

Never Again... 3/11/2009

...will I go anywhere else to get a bikini wax. I had my first brazilian here with Alex. Not the most comfortable thing, but she does her best to make you feel comfortable. Quick and thorough. Prices are good too. The only thing is it's kinda hard to get an appointment. Because of that, I had to go somewhere else to get a brazilian last minute once and it was the worst. I figured I get them done enough so I should be able to take it, right? WRONG! Alex @ Queen Bee takes about 15 minutes and is not that painful. This other chick (obviously at a place that is not Queen Bee) took about 40 minutes and the wax strips looked like a kotex. That's just wrong! I will remain faithful to Queen Bee. A little gem. 2/23/2009

I was fortunate to discover Queen Bee Waxing through KTLA5 morning show. Their recommendation was good enough for me. Due to a last minute cancellation, I was able to get an appointment that day. From the moment I walked into the spa I could tell I was on to a good thing. Everyone was so friendly and I mean genuinely friendly - rare for Los Angeles. Jodi was awesome, she treated me like an old friend. Did I mention she's really funny too. I'm an old pro when it comes waxing and this chick knows her business. She's a perfectionist and fast - got to love that. After a thorough inspection, I'd rate her work with an A+. Truly, this place is awesome. Finally I've leaned something worthwhile from watching T.V. Worth it! 2/20/2009

Going to a new waxer is always nerve-racking; however, I was immediately put as ease at Queen Bee. Not sure if it was the friendliness of the receptionist, the charm of the location or the precision of my waxer (have a feeling it was a combination of all three). I love that they take late appointments, as I cannot leave work until after 7:30pm, and I never have to wait more than a few minutes once I arrive. Here's the real deal, they ""bribe"" to get these good reviews 2/12/2009

This place wins all the awards because they send out emails to all their clients promising discounts and specials if they win ""best of"", etc., so of course they get all the votes. Unfortunately, it was due to a ""best of"" list that I went there in the first place. I wouldn't take the time to tell about this stuff, but I've had enough now. I had my my upper lip waxed today to give me the utmost confidence on Valentine's Day but instead will be even more selfconcious due to the scab on my upper lip. She ripped off my skin! No, I'm not on any medications and I haven't been in the sun for months. I've been getting my lip waxed for over 10 years at various places and never had this happen. Ever. I can't even begin to say how happy I am that I found Jodi. She is the best hands down! I have been going to her for over a year now, and every time I am thrilled with the result. She is the absolute master of the Brazilian wax, and she does it so fast, you won't even have time to feel the pain. Her skincare tips are amazing and if you listen to her advice, you'll never have bikini woes again. She always has a positive attitude and welcomes you with friendly conversation. The Queen Bee salon in Culver City is amazing, complete with seasonal muffins, treats, coffee and other drinks when you walk in the door. The products on the shelf are carefully selected and of the highest quality. Her staff is very helpful and accommodating, doing their best to get you the appointment you want. Genuine talent, care, and results! 10/2/2008

I'm so happy I found Queen Bee! I wouldn't go anywhere else. I had never been waxed before, but despite my fear of the pain I knew I could trust Jodi. And I was right! She lived up to every single expectation written on citysearch, her website, and elsewhere. I had an evening appointment and from the moment I walked in the door both Jodi and her receptionist were so genuinely nice and easy going. I barely waited 2 minutes and Jodi took me in for my first ever Brazilian bikini wax. Let me say this: the pain is real, and Jodi doesn't kid you. The first really is the worst. I have an extremely low pain tolerance (I can't even stand being pinched) but since Jodi's technique is absolutely superb the pain hardly lasts for more than a few seconds. It's comforting to know that Jodi and her staff really care about me as a client as they answered all of my newbie waxing questions with genuine understanding and care. I will definitely be coming back! Cons: none. more

Professional, Clean, and Friendly 8/26/2008

So I took the plunge and went to Queen Bee Waxing for my first ever Brazilian waxing. When I walked in, I was greeted right away by the girls at the counter. They offered me a seat in the lovely waiting area which was comfortable and smelled of scented candles. Not that I was waiting very long, maybe two minutes. I was nervous at first, but Jodi was so down-to-earth and professional, she instilled a sense of confidence in me right away. She completely explained the procedure, including her hygienic practices and the after care I should be aware of. She chatted with me the whole time (only took about 15 minutes) and before I knew it, I was done. Yes, there was some discomfort, this being my first time, but Jodi told me ""the first is the worst."" After that, it gets easier. And I love the results! Wish I had done it sooner. I highly recommend Jodi and her friendly staff at Queen Bee to anyone looking for a clean, professional waxing experience. All that and the price was very reasonable too. The Perfect Waxing Experience: Fast, Friendly and Detail-Oriented 8/12/2008

I had read all the rave reviews on Citysearch and figured I had to see for myself. (Note: I hadn't had a Brazilian wax for at least 6 months so I expected it to hurt like none other! ) But compared to other salons I've been to, Queen Bee offered excellent customer service, uber-fast waxing, and they were sensitive - a plus in this field - throughout the experience. Alex was great: she talked me through the whole procedure, was chatty (but still fast and efficient) and made me feel very comfortable as a first-timer. Jodi's my Queen Bee!!! 8/7/2008

I've been going to Jodi for two years now and it's been rewarding to not only get the best wax in the business, but also see her grow her business using that great British business sense, wit and smile. Even when I have to go as a walk in after having to give up a scheduled appointment, the wait has been no longer than 20 minutes and Jodi has apologized -why?!?! I'll wait much longer for her great results. And she manages to make the most awkward of services fly by with laughs and great conversation. And the evening appointments --Jodi and her staff are great to stay there with those often convenient evening appointments. more

Great Staff and Service 8/7/2008

I would recommend Queen Bee to anyone, knowing that they will get the same great treatment I received on both of my visits. I was quite apprehensive about going to a new place, but was immediately reassured of my choice upon meeting Jodi and her staff. She made the experience very comfortable and easy... it felt like I had been going there for years! Queen Bee is a very clean establishment and has great ""homey"" feeling! Although Jodi and her staff seem to be in high demand, I have found it fairly easy to get appointments and was even able to get in on a walk-in with 20 minutes of my arrival. I'm very happy to have found Queen Bee and will definitely continue to go there. more
