Almost Painless! 10/11/2005

I went to Jodi for my first ever bikini wax and I was so nervous! Jodi put me at ease and the process was not nearly as painful as I thought it would be! I had never had a Brazilain (or even a bikini wax) before I went to Jodi. I was nervous but Jodi made me feel so comfortable - I wasn't embarassed at all. She is so good at what she does - it barely even hurts, and you don't realize she's even waxing because she's chatty (and funny!). Jodi is so quick and professional - I have heard horror stories and I am so glad that I went to her first! If you are a first timer, Jodi is the person to go to! I have to say that Jodi is the absolute best!!! I read the reviews here on city search and had to give Queen Bee a try. I was a bit nervous about getting a complete Brazillian wax but Jodi instantly put all of my nerves at ease. I felt completly comfortable in her expert hands she effortlessly waxed me COMPLETELY and Painlessly in less than 15 minutes. Before I met Jodi I was traumatized by a visit to a salon that offered Brazillian Waxing. The ordeal lasted 40+ minutes and was the single most painful experience of my entire life. This ""specialist"" kept going over the same area over and over again eventually made me bleed!! Not only was the waxing painful and long but it was not a complete Brazillian and cost me $50 dollars.!!!! Jodi literally changed my life!! She is The Queen Bee!! Best place for a Brazilian! 6/13/2005

This was the best brazilian I have ever received! Jodi was quick and made me feel comfortable. It was pretty painless considering what's being waxed and the price was reasonable compared to other salons. I have been waxed at another salon/spa and it took over 30 minutes and it was almost double the price. I will only get a brazilian by Jodi! more

best priced wax/least painful 4/23/2005

I've gotten waxes from several places in LA, always on the hunt for the best one that's also well priced and I finally found where I'll be going from now on. It's either always too painful or too expensive and Jodi is neither. Her waxes are priced better than any spa or salon I've been to and what's best is she's got a gentle enough hand where it doesn't hurt like h*ll when she starts pulling. more

Girls, listen to me...put down the razor. There are other options. Two words...Jodi Shays. She will change your life - she has converted me from a shaver to a life-time waxer. I know what you are thinking, shaving is so much easier and less painful...but, seriously, Jodi takes the best care of you and you don't even realize that she is waxing you between the chit chat. As long as she waxes, I will go to her. If you are looking for the wax of your life or are a scared first timer, head to Jodi and she will take care of you and give you the best wax ever! Jodi is fantastic! Not only did she make my first vist comfortable, relaxing and fun...BUT I just had my second waxing from her and she's right...once you've had it done it's even better the second time. The first time I was nervous and she completely put me at ease. She has a clean relaxing environment and she herself is great. She's affordable and does a great job with eyebrow waxing as well. Jody was the first person I have gotten a wax from. It was amazing. She is professional and friendly at the same time. The warm and secluded atmosphere of her private studio gave me a sense of comfort that calmed me before my wax. Jody spoke to me as she worked which relaxed me and made the experience very enjoyable.
