Product OK, but customer service seriously lacking. Have tried to get my system serviced and twice the service person has failed to show as agreed. I am leaving town and will be without a security system for two weeks. Good job Quantum! You just convinced me to switch to another company. I did my three required years according to the contract. Quality professionalism 11/17/2008

I have been with Quanum only 9 months in our new home. They have shown me they have a professional staff to not only monitor & service calls but if I have a question or problem it is taken care that very day if possible. I read the other reviews, I am sooo sorry that they felt they had poor service--perhaps they needed to speak to an owner instead of customer service for the satisfaction they deserved. Every company has problems from time to time--I have no problem recommending them on my service history. I have been happy with the installation, monitoring & service. Poor service in every way 9/3/2008

The salesman obviously only did this part time, was not very knowledgeable, and was practically reading from a script. The installer seemed about the same. The service was horrible; several false alarms, none of which were ever responded to. Customer service was rude and unhelpful. Amazed Still in Biz 6/20/2008

I believe I have never received worse customer service from an actual business than Quantum. I have to admit that the funniest part of the entire ordeal is that my alarm went off over 3 times in a month and not once did I receive a call. I came home one night - alone since my husband was deployed - to it going off. My poor dogs were miserable! So I called customer service to inquire as to why they hadn't called me and they said they had no record of the darn thing going off. They even said that it was my responsibility to call once a month to have them run a test to make sure it was still online. My response: And what exactly am I paying you to do???? I had to do all the work with them. Quantum might have free installation, but we had to sell our house and put it in the contract that the new owners had to take over the payments since Quantum refuses to let you cancel due to a move (Army required none the less). What bologna!! I would highly recommend going with a company like ADT. They are expensive up front but in the long run it would be so worth it. I wish I could do it all over again so as to not give these criminals any of my money!!!! Pros: You get a sign for your front yard. haha Cons: The entire company, alarm package, contract, service. Need I say more. more

The BEST!!! 6/3/2008

I have been with Quantum Alarm for Four Years, and they are the BEST. I had a false alarm ounce, but I called them and the problem was taken care of. The service guy and the salesman for that matter were at all times very professional. Forget ADT, etc.... Always go with a good, strong LOCAL Company. Keep your business and money local. Excellent Texas owned Security Company! I've had Quantum Alarm for the past four years, they have always responsed to my needs in a timely manner. About two years ago my son had pulled a contact out of one of our windows, I called Quantum and they were out the next business day. Installers and technicans are quick to help and very efficient. Pros: No money down; excellent customer service; locally owned and operated. more

Frustrated 3/30/2008

I had a similar experience with Quantum alarm, they are quick to get your business but they have a lousy customer relations. I called several different contact numbers before I finaly got a rude operator who just gave me the run around. I called ten minutes later the same operator told me a different story as to what to do about my account and gave me another number to call. I called that number and that person told me that I could not cancel my account because the contract states that I should request cancelation in writing. I submitted a letter in writing stating that I no longer reside on that property and the house was vacant. They told me that they could not cancel my contract because I had to submit my request thirty days prior to the contract renewing. I've been paying for their service and not utilizing the system for 11 mths BE AWARE Pros: Good product Cons: Bad Service more

I had trouble with the contract and they sent the debt to Anderson, Crenshaw and Associates, who are in my opinion a unethical and unprofessional company! UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES AND EXTORTION 1/11/2008

When I signed the contract in 2005, unfortunately I was not provided a copy of this agreement at signing, and despite my insistence that my sales agent provide one to me as soon as possible, this never happened. I was reassured by the Quantum alarm sales agent that this was just a ""basic"" contract, there is nothing to worry about, therefore I decided to stop my pursuit. My sales agent in 2005 never explicitly told me I had a 3 year agreement, nor did he explain that there would be a stiff penalty if I were to try and leave early. VERY,VERY,VERY BAD COMPANY 12/17/2007

I had Quantum Alarm for about a year. I admit that I did not read the contract as carefully as I should have. So when I went kept receiving bills after the one ear I thought that was strange. So I called them and the lady that I spoke with told me that it was in the contract that they would renew me if I did not send a letter stating that I want out. I asked if they sent out letters reminding people that this was going to happen. She proceeded to tell me that her 5-year-old daughter doesn't receive letters to remind her and they would like to think that their customers were adults. I have never had such a bad customer service experience in my life. I would never recommend this company to anyone. more

BUSTED ALARM COMPANY! 10/25/2007

This Company has been good to me for a year, but their service is the worst! I was called just yesterday saying that my alarm went off for burgulary and fire and they dispatched the police which costed me $75 a pop BUT THE MAJOR THING IS.......MY ALARM WAS NOT SET!!! SO HOW DO YOU MONITOR AN ALARM THAT HAS NOT BEEN SET??????? AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $25 SERVICE CHARGE FOR SOMETHING THEY DID WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM! DID I REMEMBER TO SAY THAT MY ALARM WAS NOT SET!!!!!! THIS COMPANY IS FULL OF IT AND I DONT HAVE THE MONEY RIGHT NOW TO GET OUT OF THIS 3YR CONTRACT BUT I WISH I DID! SO I AM STUCK WITH THEM FOR ANOTHER TWO YEARS OR UNTIL I GET THE MONEY. I DONT AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!! EVER!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ALARM SERVICE. GO TO ADT! more

Rude Billing Dept. Never returns calls. Always gives you the run around 9/19/2007

I signed a three year contract and completed it. I sent my cancellation letter with my monthly payment. My payment was received, but my letter was lost. So they renewed my contract for another year. I made several attempts to call to see if my letter was received I left messages and never got a call back. The billing department was very rude. They told that "" Their collection agency are really mean and they don't play nice. "" Quantum Alarm also said if it went to collections they could put a lien on my house. I would not recommend this Alarm Company. I've never been treated so poorly by another company. more
